A call by former President George W. Bush for humanity to jettison partisanship amid the Chinese coronavirus pandemic has drawn a sharp rebuke from President Donald Trump.
Bush published a video message on Saturday urging unity and togetherness amid the coronavirus’ outbreak, which received 4.4 million views on Twitter as of Sunday morning.Bush’s plea amounted to a call for people to ignore partisanship to protect the most vulnerable and to assist those who have become unemployed. He based his plaintive call on the observation we are all God’s children and therefore equal of merit and support.

Bush should have written to Pelosi and Schumer directly. Why does Bush feel the need to virtue-signal now? We know why there is no bipartisanship, and it's one sided!

George is a filthy one worlder. He gets his marching orders from slick Willy, the pig in a pantsuit, bath house Barry and mooch.
Go shovel manure George, it's all you are fit for. Leave the critical thinking and hard work to President Trump and his army if Deplorables. We know what needs to be done and how to get it done.
You and your entire family should be run out of texas, stripped of citizenship and but on a boat to china.

Sorry, I think this was a dumb move on Trump's part. For many Americans (especially "swing voters", whose votes he needs to win in November) impeachment is light years away. Tweets like this feed his base, but we won't leave him anyway. Bush's video was innocuous and should have been allowed to roll through the news cycle without comment from the President.

Hmmm, Bushie's real problem here may be that this whole episode may be doing too much damage to China. Doesn't like to see them getting blamed or punished for what they have done.

So I guess all you posters critical of Donald Trump, I have one remark. I guess you want Donald Trump to act like George W Bush during his eight years as President of the USA. George W Bush remained silent but now he speaks up especially to support the likes of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
I am glad we have a President that is courageous.

W was a good Governor of Texas and had many healthy bi-partisan victories in Texas by telling the Legislature what he wanted done and letting them work it out, which they did.
When he got to DC, he started out to be that same kind of President and sought to be MORE like President Reagan than his daddy who was leading towards a One World Government. After 9/11, he changed.
By the end of his 2nd term, he was spending like a drunken sailor on shore leave. It was a huge disappointment that he thought he could deal with the demonrat socialists who smiled and smiled all the while spending us into oblivion before Nobama started full speed ahead with an afterburner spending us into oblvion.
The "Bushies" need to just fade away, especially JEB and his evil spawn George P. who is screwing around with the Alamo and Cenotaph in allowing people from the East Coast to "re-imagine" Texas' most sacred shrine.
Why suck up to those who would sell us out for a piece of power as they try take over the country?

Bush trying to cover his butt over the implementation of globalism by him and his poppy.
Remember when you get to the bottom line, it was globalism that allowed the Chinese corona virus to be so easily and quickly imported covertly into America, with the Communist Chinese Government being completely disingenuous to the world about the genesis of the virus, that it was allowed through incompetence to escape from a Chinese Government run laboratory, and the very important fact that the virus was extremely contagious by way of human to human contact. The result of that dishonestly and incompetence the Chinese Communists caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people around the world, and severely damaged the economies of a lot of countries. President Trump has been speaking out for many years against runaway globalism, for which he has been opposed and victimized through a number of fraudulent hoaxes designed to destroy his Presidency, by the globalist investor class, their DC UniParty supporters, the big government oriented DC Deep State bureaucracy, and the liberal media from the get-go. Trump has cause to be outraged.

There is one word which perfectly describes all of the Bushes - - "creepy."
Creepy, creepy, creepy. They make my skin crawl.
And it's nice to have L-Dotters finally joining me in my evaluation of the Bushes. It wasn't quite that way on this forum from 2001-2009 - - I was subject to much abuse - - but it's nice to finally welcome everyone on board.

If you're not helping, you're part of the problem. Mr. Bush, you had eight years of your own presidency and eight years of the usurper to speak up. Now it's time to be quiet, sir. You're no longer relevant, so don't be impressed by 4.4 million views on Twitter.

He's the voice of the Globalists. I am entirely, totally done with the Bushes. At the time, his branch of the Uniparty appeared to be a bit different than the other branch of the Uniparty, but now I can see that it was mostly a mirage, an illusion created by the Globalists and the Enemedia as they both sold our country to the Chinese.

The virus has further separated us. I do not need a social distancing edict to keep hundreds of miles away from Pelosi, Schumer, or Joe Biden. I can tell you that. GW reminds a lot of Prince Charles, completely unknowing, and irrelevant. I am always left wondering what they are talking about, and why are they talking.

The fellow that wrote the book about Clinton financial finagling at the expense of taxpayers smiled and said it will come when asked about the Bushes. Anyone ever notice how the MSM never interested in pursuing questions on where all their billions came from? My Grandad always said that will all be exposed one day too.
Texans showed how they feel about being used again to launch another dim bulb Bush on us when we rejected Pierce Bush solidly in his primary. Georgie P. remains basically hidden from view by Texas press because the Bush name is mud. Texan Rove is plotting how to get Georgie in that Governor seat, however.
Dubya did not like Reagan any more than his father did. He has never complimented the man who GAVE his dad the presidency one single time. Texas and the nation was hornswaggled by this one world order family. They were and are every as power hungry as their pals the Clintons.

Bush II is still bending over for the Democrats. One would think he would have enjoyed some bipartisan goodwill, but he never had any. The Democrats stabbed him in the back, slapped him in the face, and low blowed him over and over. What did Bush II do? He turned the other cheek. Not because he believed in that philosophy, but because of his globalist agenda. He never once fought back. it was embarrassing. He was President, and he was suppose to COMMAND some respect.
He hasn't changed. He is still protecting the globalist agenda. He's still an embarrassment. Pelosi and Schumer would low blow Bush II again if the situation warranted it. Bush II portrayed himself as a Conservative, but a globalist really isn't a Conservative. He stabbed his supporters in the back on more than one occasion. In the end, he's just another Republican backstabber in the mold of McCain and Romney.
Thanks, but no thanks.

The Bush family has been raking it in for generations. They are rip off artists and virtue signaling and very heavy P.R. (see Mama Bear Barbara) is what they do as an antidote. In addition, Pres Trump had the nerve to suggest that a Bush no 3 in the White House was not to be greatly desired. You remember, "low energy Jeb". Still funny and on the mark. But not to be forgiven!!

I agree with Trump - where were Bush's calls for civilized behavior during the impeachment witch hunt? Where were Bush's calls for unity or basic fairness when the democrats were undermining our military for carrying out the wars he initiated? The Bush family seems to be bereft of integrity - Bush 1 and "no new taxes", Bush 2 abandoning the troops in the field and failing to defend his positions and his supporters by failing to address "Bush lied, people died" and the whole "there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction" meme. Saddam possessed and had used WMDs - poison gas is a WMD, he had thousand of pounds of partially enriched nuclear materials and tons of yellow cake so he was on his way to atomic weapons and had the "makings" for a dirty bomb. And hiding a biological warfare lab - Saddam had time to ship tons of material out of Iraq via semi-truck and cargo plane and plenty of time to re-purpose or destroy lab equipment and biological warfare agents. But Bush was silent as the lies became the truth. And the guys fighting and dying in the deserts and mountains were once again portrayed a fighting not to defend our country but for "oil" or something equally venal.
Whatever the Bushes are (the song Smiling Faces Sometimes comes to mind), I will never trust one again.

If GW had reached out to POTUS privately and attempted a real détente, an interest in knowing or understanding what POTUS Trump is doing, if he had APOLOGIZED, first and foremost for having associated himself with a hate-filled corps of vicious critics --including the never-Trumpers-- and the cabal of scheming Fifth Columnists, and offered help, or even just give a listening ear, perhaps there would have been a healthier relationship, better for our Country. Because after all, it is our beautiful Republic that we are fighting for, wanting to save.
I wish POTUS would rise above the little nasty gnats.
But GW deeply disappointed us by playing the part of a petty and vindictive man

Breitbart wallows in the media swamp with all the other liars. I can say this because some jerk writer there makes the headline say he 'ridiculed' the former President Bush. He did no such thing. All he did was Thank him for the advice, but ask why he didn't say anything about the corruption of the FBI, DOJ and the House fiasco. That is not ridicule, it is pointing out Bush's lack of interest in the other important issue for the past 3 years. No reporter has the authority to draw conclusions and then offer opinions. JUST REPORT THE NEWS. Of course since the hype of the 60s, every reporter is now a commentator. That is fine where it belongs, but stop with the free interpretation of motives and what he really meant. That is OUR job to decide. I'll pick any poster on Lucianne and match them against any reporter in any media and have a general test of knowledge about life, history, government and politics. There is no way most reporters win that contest. Most of them are like the gossipy losers in High School.
