The smoke-filled room
that could oust Joe Biden

Original Article

Never was former Vice President Joe Biden the 2020 dream. He promised electability and familiarity, which turned out to be good enough for a plurality of Democratic voters in the early primaries. But now that every other Democratic contender has dropped out and dutifully lined up behind the presumptive nominee, that choice might be sitting less comfortably. Biden is campaigning from his basement, giving interviews in which he occasionally moves past gaffes into total incoherence, raising questions about his mental fitness. Worst of all, evidence for a sexual assault allegation against him begins to mount.

From the article: "The likeliest outcome remains the most straightforward: That Biden will be the Democratic nominee and will face Trump in November. But if Democratic leaders did want to change horses midstream, late August or September could well be when they make their move." So out of 20+candidates, this uncertainty remains until late August or September? And Democrats are wanting to run this country?

Negative space observation again: while the press sputter and claim they aren't part and parcel of the Democrat party would the GOP even have a prayer of choosing or changing a candidate so late in the game? Yes, Reagan almost toppled Ford but that was a time when conventions had consequences. The Dems are still considering their options because they know the media will pump air into the new balloon immediately and make the candidate viable (they think).

I told you so......the fix is in and Hillary is waiting !!! Biden doesn't have enough votes on the first ballot at the convention and the one's who were pledged to Biden are freed up to vote for whomever from then on. Here comes Queen Hillary to "save "the party.

If Biden goes to the convention as a candidate, he will have the necessary delegates. That means the real number or so close as to not matter. Bernie will have the second most (may be kissing close) and Hillary will have none. That is a tough choice no matter how smoke filled the back room. IMO, they will move before the convention if at all. Still, you may buy Bernie off with another house but getting his followers to follow the Beast or the Prince of Albany is a lose lose proposition..

Agreed, #5. Bernie is the obvious and fair second choice given his number of delegates. If Biden is dumped and Bernie is screwed a second time by the DNC, his thugs will tear the convention apart and then they will sit home on November 3. The demonrats made themselves one hell of a nasty bed to lie in.

If you vote for Biden you're back to Obama politics. Obama was a dishonest and lousy president. Everything he did fell apart, or is being dismantled by Trump, for the good. In fact, any democrat would go back the stuff Obama did, because they all liked what he did. They're all losers.

Duh - you can pick anyone at random from the street and he/she will beat Trump in November. Why are we even listening to Ryan? Biden is in a downhill spiral. Dims know they are going to lose in 2020. The only question is, who do they want to sacrifice? Newsom is their rising star. They are not going to sacrifice him in 2020 for the sake of name recognition. Their best bet is let old Joe run and lose - then dog Trump for four more years and put up their Star in 2024.

If the democrats were smart and that's a big 'IF' they would go with Bernie Sanders and be done with it leaving Hillary Clinton out of the equation. I still believe Sanders had a better chance to defeat Trump in 2016. President Trump now has a political track record that looms over the fractured democrats. Cuomo would have to be squeezed in like Clinton but he is a more viable candidate being a governor and active. Hillary Clinton is just a drunken old bag lady that would take plenty of resuscitating by their media lapdogs.

I dont see the DNC putting forth Hillary again. She lost once to Obama and once to Trump. She isn't likeable, and they know it. She has baggage, and they know it. She's corrupt, and they know it. She has her own mental issues, and they know it. She's completely tone deaf, and they know it. Hillary, the worlds smartest woman, was a creation of the media that falls apart with constant coverage. Unlike Trump, the media doesn't have to twist her words to make her look stupid. Instead, they have to employ pretzel logic and hypocrisy to make her idiotic pronouncements look like glittering jewels of brilliance. An election between Trump and Hillary would once again come down to which candidate is disliked more. And Trump goes into the election with a proven track record. Whereas Hillary goes into the election with a record of failure masquerading as success.

Let's get it straight. Biden defeated no one. Bernie and the others were bought or run off by the party powers for a reason. And that reason is not Joe Biden. Why would the game be rigged for Joe if the object now is to yank him ignominiously from the campaign? Joe was a well-known half-witted creep who couldn't win a fair election long before these latest gaffes and accusations. No, there's something else in play, and it is doubtful that it is named either Hillary or Michelle. If Biden is dislodged there will be a maelstrom, convention or no. I suspect this is about blunting the radicals, the non-UNIPARTY crowd, like AOC, the Bernie Bros, social justice warriors, i.e. true believers. The Dems unleashed these beasts and they became too successful...now threatening the party's image as moderately liberal, working for the downtrodden little persons, etc. The UNIPARTY is about profiteering, not ideology, and they had a good thing going until PDT started up. The UNIPARTY's goals this election are to Dump Trump and reset "the middle" of American politics to its standards. Biden's candidacy in November is disposable.

Since Madam Broomstick's people were infiltrated into the party organization, and those "state chairs and vice-chairs from each state plus hand-picked OTHERS supporting Mrs. Arkancide are STILL likely firmly entrenched, and RUNNING THE SHOW behind the scenes, it is very likely the Old Joe may be jettisoned for being too moderate and less ruthless and demonic so that her highness could come in to RESCUE the party-- I'm sure she STILL cannot understand why we don't line up to grovel at her feet in awe. "Is there a path to nominating someone else?" Not without lots of gnashing teeth and violence. That ship has already sailed halfway around the world. The democrats made a huge mistake by letting Bernie anywhere near the nomination but Old Joe is obviously worse and should have been eliminated up front. The democrats are playing a scratched and skipping record, to use Joe's outdated quip about a record player and are stuck exactly where they were in 2016 before they started the three-year impeachment circus, without a viable candidate and facing complete devastation by Donald Trump. They could pull dead girls and live boys out of the President's closets now and they would still lose.

Joe Biden is the Democrats choice by default because all of the other candidates dropped out. But, he never got the majority of primary votes due to primaries being cancelled. Considering the most consist thing Biden says these days is, "I don't remember" and then proves it with his incoherent statements, he is ripe to be replaced. It will be interesting to see how the Democrats pull this off.

No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
