Kayleigh McEnany took the podium for the first time as the White House Press Secretary Friday and pledged never to lie to the media. She got asked point-blank at the first formal briefing in 417 days at a time of tense relations between reporters and the Trump White House whether she would always tell the truth. She should start off her daily news conference with the lies the media reported. She should have turned it on the fake reporter ... if you will do the same I will agree. Kayleigh please don't allow the fake media to be you boss.

She wouldn’t be up there if she not able to do her job and handle the press. Relax.

I immediately distrust anyone who makes a statement like that. Besides, in this new political speak, a lie is nothing more than a different opinion.

First formal briefing in 417 days? I have seen DJT in front of the press every day for a month. The press is dishonest and demands to be treated better than they treat others.

She stepped right into the Alinsky Rules for Radicals trap. The ONLY thing the press is going to do from now on is force her to say something they can pretzel logic into being a lie, then use that against her and of course Orange Man Bad. It never ceases to amaze how easy it is to set a burning paper bag of doggie doo-doo at a well known Republican's front door and watch them stamp out the fire on live video feed EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Maybe she could have a beginning segment called, Setting the Record Straight, and go through the lies the media had put forth since the last briefing. Make it short and sweet and then move on the news of the day. I like her. She is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and appears to be unafraid of the media and that is a crucial. The media will do everything to rattle her but I bet she can take care of business. Nevertheless, she will now be considered the enemy and the media will treat her as such. Give as good as you get, Kaleigh. They are not your friends. Hold their feet to the fire.

That's the right way of looking at it, #9. Beginning every briefing by lecturing the msm pool as to their lies may start to sink in with them sooner or later. A form of behavior modification.

This woman can dish it out, she has regularly handed the media their lunch on FoxNews... and she does it with a smile on her face. She is going to be better than Sarah Huckabee... yesterday, she doubled down on the press lack of curiosity on Flynn and made them look horribly biased. So everyone, relax... she is in the Trump mode and will do well. And, I don't mind her saying she would never lie to them - she may withhold info, but she won't lie... like they do everyday!

Nobody will be better than Sarah Huckabee. Different of course, but not “better”.

The fact that the new press asked point-blank whether she would always tell the truth, speaks volumes about the press. It is an ironic question considering the fact that the press constantly lies about President Trump and the administration.

She made what we post ers think is a naive statement but one of the stupud questions asked by a tabloid reporter to the political elites script to try and dress up Sleezy Joe by addressing debunked Presidential accusers Kayleigh made her look ridiculous. So I for one am hopeful she is Sara 2.0.

She is no Sarah Sanders for sure. I really wish she hadn't said anything like this, for she opened up a can of worms for them to use against her, and Trump. They will now call everything a lie if it doesn't agree with their own perceptions. Where has she been with regards to the media?

She should have asked the questioner if he was going to report her answers to their questions truthfully and completely, or were they going to re-write it to give the answer that fits their narrative.

I knew it was from Daily Mail before my eyes landed on the source. They use the word "boast" for President Trump, all the time.
If he said the sky was blue, they would say he was boasting the sky is blue. I despise the way the media uses words. Joe Smoe is not paying attention and to me it is like brainwashing. Or as we all know pure propaganda.

I like Stephanie. How cutesy - I will never lie to you. Even when the press lies all the time about your boss. Hey Kayleigh - I wonder if Birx and Fauci ever lied about their models, ties to Gilead, etc?

The media are going to play her like a cheap guitar of she doesn't get smarter.

How dare that little female reporter ask Kayleigh such a disrespectful question. Fortunately, this lady proved she is well up to the task of putting this crowd in its place.

I watched the news conference and I did not see Ms. McEnany “boast” about anything. You have to remember the source of that fake news, the U.K. Daily Mail newspaper, that has been rabidly anti-Trump 24/7 from the get-go.

Look..... Mother Teresa could be White House Press Secretary, and I sitll would not believe "I will never lie to you." That laughable statement has been made too many times before. Best not to make it, yet try to practice it anyway.

Funny how my dad's side of the family NEVER bragged about their English ancestors. Always careful to mention the Scots, even though our family name had the English E at the end. Filthy lying cowards represented by this tabloid are one of the reasons why. Many blessings flowed from that first ancestor who finally had enough of the smug class system of that rotten island and decided anything was better than living under British twits.

Our young heroine should not begin with such a statement, definitely not before such a corrupt, unmannered, and unworthy lot as the national press, a gaggle of thugs and insane women.
