Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has reportedly sent campaign operatives to the University of Delaware to go through his Senate records after he was accused by former staffer Tara Reade of sexual assault.“Reade says she believes that Biden’s senatorial papers, which are housed at the University of Delaware, may contain notes and other personnel records supporting some of her claims,” Business Insider reported. “Biden is refusing to allow public access to his senatorial archives, even though it may contain records that could shed light on Reade’s accusations — and even as his own campaign operatives have themselves accessed the papers in the past year."

Biden War Room: Nanny State
JILL BIDEN: Joe, wake up. Jake Tapper’s here. His crew is in the basement setting up.
BIDEN: Tapper? The song and dance man? We havin' some live entertainment?
JILL BIDEN: [patiently] You’re doing a live five-minute tape-delayed interview with CNN. Makeup! I want him looking rosy-cheeked and vital. [exit Biden] Doctor?
PHYSICIAN: As discussed, I’ll inject a fast-acting high alert medication to keep him awake.
STAFFER: Our backup’s set, Ma’am. His chair’s wired. Press the remote button once for a mild wake-up shock, twice to keep him focused and alert.
JILL BIDEN: I’m still nervous. Suppose he panics and walks out mid-interview, even though we’ve had the questions and practiced the answers for days?
STAFFER: Um, we thought it prudent to have an emergency option available, Ma’am, and we wanted to surprise you. Millie, bring him in.
[enter staffer with Joe Biden]
JILL BIDEN: Joe, what are you . . . Oh my God!
STAFFER: Yes, Ma’am, it’s the vp’s double. We had the Mission Impossible special effects team create a Biden face mask.
JILL BIDEN: But, but, how can . . . ?
STAFFER: Jim’s an impressionist. We’ve been coaching him. He has the vp’s voice and mannerisms down cold. Jim, say something Bidenesque.
DOUBLE: When the pirates took our ship back in 2009, I says to the president, “Lemme fly out there, Boss, settle this thing. I grew up with workin’-class stiffs tryin’ to make an easy buck any way they could. I’ll get down and dirty if I hafta. and I’ll get her done.” The Big O says, “Do it, Joe.”
JILL BIDEN: Incredible. Jim, how would you respond to a softball on Tara Reade?
DOUBLE: Every woman has a right to have her claims questioned and dismissed.
JILL BIDEN: Charlie! Put the vice president in the study and let him watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again. [to double] You, sir, have a long-running gig if you want it.

The records of politicians should be the property of the government and kept by the government for government use unless the records pertain only to personal matters.

The Clinton's did the same thing. They sent Sandy Berger to the National Archives to steal and shred documents that would prove what the Clinton's did or did not do before 9/11. He basically got away with it with a slap on the wrist. The MSM always helps in these matters. They just look the other way and yawn and say nothing here. If they had done their job and looked into Obama's sealed records, we might be better off today instead of headed downhill to Socialism. It is time for the MSM to stop working for the DNC and start reporting the facts and nothing but the facts.

Yeah, those Senate records are a mystery to be sure, aren't they? I mean, what if we find out that a couple of his staffers thought Joe had early onset dementia, that it IS true that black kids stroked his leg hair, and that he is the real dog faced pony soldier? That could really hurt his candidacy and it would take a whole lot of economic intercourse to fund that out of existence, no? They're looking in the wrong place. I think Joe hid the real dish about himself in the staff lounge when he was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

I called it yesterday— and I’m sure it was obvious to everyone — that the reason the University of Delaware was refusing to release his records was because they were being scrubbed.

adding to #4's excellent post, part of Sandy Berger's plea deal was that he agreed to undergo a polygraph exam administered by the FBI, at the convenience of the FBI.
and the FBI never conducted the exam. that was Herr mueller's FBI, by the way.

Welcome back to the cult of Lucianne, #1, although you probably never left us.
Now, concerning Biden's records, what would the dimwitted, honorable, senior senator have to hide as a candidate for POTUS that he did not have to hide as a senator? There must be more in there than Corn Pop stories and a list of children that liked his hairy legs. We let Barack get away with masking his history but Biden will not be permitted that luxury.

I'll bet my smallish disposable income Joey Fingers at this moment doesn't know where he is standing or doesn't even remember the attack on Reade. If it would 'shed some light' then what? The woman said she wouldn't vote for Trump but if Joe is the candidate will she vote for him if she votes at all. This all means nothing to me but it does reflect on what the left and their media did to Kavanaugh that's all that spurs my interest. Nothing will happen about this if Joey Fingers is still around by November.
Sagman is right because I think Hillary Clinton had a stunt double.

I thought that Congressional records were official documents. Why are operative permitted to take or destroy any part of them? Is there a crime here that can be prosecuted?

Are records that are not kept at a government facility considered public? Seems to me the University of Deleware would decide who could see what.
I'd like to see the FBI files on him. Well, maybe not, now that we know how corrupt the FBI is. They've probably been scrubbed too.

Since Plugs went ahead and denied he sexually assaulted Reade, this must mean his team has already purged any evidence from the National Archives. But, it won't stop here. I don't see how he can go on as a presidential candidate with a sexual assault charge hanging over his head...even with the msm protecting him.

Public officials of any stripe do not have "personal papers"! Anything they wrote while on the public dime --- paid for by taxpayers --- is owned by the taxpayers. Not just their salary is at issue here but the pen, paper, postage, computer, printer ink, whatever is owned and/or paid for by the taxpayers too. It's our, not theirs. There needs to be a law that puts a stop to any politician thinking they own our records, which may be historical. Imagine working at a company and saying you're taking home all the letters you received and sent doing your paid job because they're all your personal stuff!
Biden "donated" all of his records (i.e., public records) to the University of Delaware on the assumption that there would be a library dedicated to him soon. He may be an idiot but he was Vice President (one of only 48 in US history). Now he gets to control access to public records that need to be cleaned up in case there is a record of phone calls, texts, written notes, etc. that show he was, in fact, very concerned about not just this touchy-feelly incident but others as well. Judicial Watch should sue!

Of course they have to 'lose' the papers in a minor fire that occurred in the storage room. Or there was a person that removed the information to prevent it from being published. No one can identify the 'person'. No matter the story the information will be 'lost'.

NOT "his records", they are the American people's records and need to be preserved in the National Archives...so that Sandy Berger can go there to pull out the incriminating information in his sox.
Since Berger is inconveniently dead (or conveniently?) they used some others to destroy the evidence.
