Democratic Frustration Mounts
as Biden Remains Silent
on Sexual Assault Allegation

Original Article

For more than three weeks, progressive activists and women’s rights advocates debated how to handle an allegation of sexual assault against Joseph R. Biden Jr. The conversations weren’t easy, nor were the politics: Mr. Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, faced one allegation; his opponent, President Trump, at least a dozen. Finally, several of the women’s groups prepared a public letter that praised Mr. Biden’s work as an “outspoken champion for survivors of sexual violence” but also pushed him to address the allegation from Tara Reade, a former aide who worked in Mr. Biden’s Senate office in the early 1990s. “Vice President Biden has the opportunity, right now,

Biden isn't going to bring it up, of course. And obviously, no one is going to ask him about it.

This thought just occurred to me and maybe I am slow in thinking. It sounds like it was well known that Joe Biden had loose fingers etc. Is that why he wants a female VP? I guess I better not let my mind wander a lot because there are quite a few females pushing to fill that position - whatever that is. . .

Does the media think it escapes our notice that while they complain about Biden not confronting these charges it is they themselves who never ask him about it? They don’t want to commit the liberal sin of calling out a Democrat. They want him to volunteer. In the meantime the vultures have been released and the NYT and Wapo are both circling this now. Could this be the opening the DNC have been waiting for?

Democrats don't care if he groped several women. They will still vote for him. I am worried that Trump is losing s LOT of approval points and he is becoming his own worst enemy lately. It worries me that his staunch supporters are too confident he will win re-election. I don't think it is anywhere near being a slam-dunk as many believe. Too many voters have been conditioned to only see the worst in everything he says and does that they expect and therefore perceive the worst now. And now, as he points to China, people think he's just trying to shift blame. This will cost him votes. Add that to Democrats committing election and voter fraud (enhanced by mail-in voting, no-ID required, and ballot harvesting they have been pushing), it doesn't look good. The economy is not opening fast enough. Democrats are trying to print and pump endless amounts of money to the people. All the greedy are salivating at the idea of a guaranteed income from Uncle Sam that the Dems are pushing. Coronavirus cases are still climbing and so are deaths, and disinformation is beyond rampant. Truth and rational thinking is nearly impossible to find for the average American with a short attention span. I am trying not to be pessimistic, but I am watching many of the President's enthusiastic supporters start to fall away quickly, and it worries me. Still, I keep fighting all over the Internet for truth. I just hope I am not tilting at windmills all by myself.

At first glance this article appears to be a sort of atonement by one of the world leaders in anti-Trump fake news -- bringing attention to Reade's allegation against Biden. But did you catch where they compare this "one allegation" to Trump's "at least a dozen"? That is really the substance here, because the way the media treat Reade's charges against Biden ought to be compared more to the way they treated Squeaky Blasey Ford's charges against Justice Kavanaugh. This piece (of what) from the Times comes just after the DC police closed the Reade-vs-Biden case without explanation. (Like dampening the noise of a door being closed.)

No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
