For more than three weeks, progressive activists and women’s rights advocates debated how to handle an allegation of sexual assault against Joseph R. Biden Jr. The conversations weren’t easy, nor were the politics: Mr. Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, faced one allegation; his opponent, President Trump, at least a dozen.
Finally, several of the women’s groups prepared a public letter that praised Mr. Biden’s work as an “outspoken champion for survivors of sexual violence” but also pushed him to address the allegation from Tara Reade, a former aide who worked in Mr. Biden’s Senate office in the early 1990s.

IIRC, when democrat frustration gets too high, they get all rapey, see e.g. Billdo Clintoon.

This thought just occurred to me and maybe I am slow in thinking. It sounds like it was well known that Joe Biden had loose fingers etc. Is that why he wants a female VP? I guess I better not let my mind wander a lot because there are quite a few females pushing to fill that position - whatever that is. . .

Does the media think it escapes our notice that while they complain about Biden not confronting these charges it is they themselves who never ask him about it? They don’t want to commit the liberal sin of calling out a Democrat. They want him to volunteer. In the meantime the vultures have been released and the NYT and Wapo are both circling this now. Could this be the opening the DNC have been waiting for?

I read as much of the article as I could without having to create an account. Notably missing from the part I read was any mention of the hit job by the left on Brett Kavanaugh. I wonder why . . .

Lucky for Plugs he isn't currently a member of the Senate. I'd like to think the pubbies would be giving him the Kavanaugh treatment.

Democrats don't care if he groped several women. They will still vote for him. I am worried that Trump is losing s LOT of approval points and he is becoming his own worst enemy lately. It worries me that his staunch supporters are too confident he will win re-election. I don't think it is anywhere near being a slam-dunk as many believe. Too many voters have been conditioned to only see the worst in everything he says and does that they expect and therefore perceive the worst now. And now, as he points to China, people think he's just trying to shift blame. This will cost him votes. Add that to Democrats committing election and voter fraud (enhanced by mail-in voting, no-ID required, and ballot harvesting they have been pushing), it doesn't look good. The economy is not opening fast enough. Democrats are trying to print and pump endless amounts of money to the people. All the greedy are salivating at the idea of a guaranteed income from Uncle Sam that the Dems are pushing. Coronavirus cases are still climbing and so are deaths, and disinformation is beyond rampant. Truth and rational thinking is nearly impossible to find for the average American with a short attention span. I am trying not to be pessimistic, but I am watching many of the President's enthusiastic supporters start to fall away quickly, and it worries me. Still, I keep fighting all over the Internet for truth. I just hope I am not tilting at windmills all by myself.

Where are those dozen women and why aren’t we hearing from them right now? Maybe because they were all proven frauds?

I cannot understand why Feminists leap to defend Democrat sexual predators, yet run around with their hair on fire at the mere suggestion that a Republican might be a sexual predator. The burden of proof and presumption of innocence should be the same whatever your political preferences.

We know that the last person to have anything to do with how this plays out....is Biden. I suspect DNC poobahs are now reviewing how Teddy's handlers prepared him for his Chappaquiddick speech in 1969. "There is no truth, no truth whatever, to the widely circulated suspicions of immoral conduct that have been leveled at my behavior and hers regarding that evening."

This all about nothing to me because the accuser and her friend hate Trump more and if they vote they will vote for Joey Fingers so I don't much care where this goes. The women's groups and their movement (whatever that is) are all frauds. The tenacity of their fake hysteria about Kavanaugh will not be used on Joey the crash test dummy. This is all about nothing if the New York Times is upset send your best reporter to ask the pervert if he did it see where that will get you.

He can't comment on it because he knows he's guilty. He's trying to think of a deft way of dodging it, but Sleepy Joe doesn't do 'deft'. Meanwhile the PIAPS sits on her vulture's perch, waiting and watching.

I expect he has no memory of her or the incident. But he can't say that, because it would raise the question "what else have you forgotten, Joe?"

He wouldn't be lying by simply throwing down the "I-don't-recall" card.
A caller into one of the radio talk shows yesterday suggested that the humane decision at this point would be for his handlers to simply not show up tomorrow morning. Old Joe will wake up, have his breakfast, read the paper, watch some TV, take a nap, and play with the grand kids in the afternoon. He gets on with his life, the party is rescued, and the rest of us are spared the horror of it all.

Does the left not know how stupid they look? As an aside, there were comments available after the article, when I logged in and went back to the article, the comments were not available. This happened the other day too. I'm sure they don't like my comments (always made in good taste), so I must have been flagged.

10, not for nothing but yeah, Trump got twisted in the hooplah pretzel over this Chicom virus over reaction and I think is trying to back out in his Trumpian way (he just said we need to quickly get back to the way it was; FINALLY. Couldn't agree more). For me, doesn't matter and REALLY doesn't matter to Mrs G2P. She's loved the guy since escalator day. I'm voting for him and it'll be a low crawl through ground glass on my lips to get to the polls this November. That's not going to change no matter how bad the devastation will be to the economy by this fall (that the "experts" talked him into) and no matter how often President Fauci, President Cuomo, and Co-president The Scarf tells me to be terrified.

At first glance this article appears to be a sort of atonement by one of the world leaders in anti-Trump fake news -- bringing attention to Reade's allegation against Biden. But did you catch where they compare this "one allegation" to Trump's "at least a dozen"? That is really the substance here, because the way the media treat Reade's charges against Biden ought to be compared more to the way they treated Squeaky Blasey Ford's charges against Justice Kavanaugh.
This piece (of what) from the Times comes just after the DC police closed the Reade-vs-Biden case without explanation. (Like dampening the noise of a door being closed.)

Fingers (love that moniker guys. Great work) could take a lie detector test today, and say he didn't do it and pass, because he is so mentally incompetent he legitimately can't remember it. I mean, if he can't figure out who his wife and sister are, he certainly doesn't remember this woman least of all the assault.
He ain't long for this campaign. I love how some news people say that the Dems can't replace him now because their rules wouldn't allow that. Isn't that just so quaint? Democrats worried about rules and laws when it comes to themselves? If they gotta Vince Foster him, they will. He's dead candidate walking however he gets iced.

Biden doesn't remember what he had for breakfast this morning. He probably doesn't remember that he was vice-president a few years ago.
The Dems are allowing him to twist in the wind because they intend on replacing him.

The Democrats need an equivalent crime to accuse Trump of having committed 30 or so years ago. I predict Christine Ford (or some other female Democrat fanatic) will suddenly bravely come forward with rape allegations against Trump. And that will be all the media talk about.
