Boris Johnson was pictured beaming as he arrived back at 10 Downing Street today after his fiancée Carrie Symonds gave birth, while the Queen sent the couple a 'private message of good wishes' to congratulate them on their first child together. Mr Johnson, who missed PMQs this afternoon, is said to have been by his 32-year-old fiancee's side throughout the labour in the early hours of this morning and thanked 'the fantastic NHS maternity team' who brought their son into the world. But as he scrambles to get a grip on the coronavirus crisis, the PM left Carrie in a London hospital and returned to Downing Street

First, I must say, I am a supporter of PM Johnson. However.....
Marriage should happen BEFORE the pregnancy, and certainly before the first birth.
Low class, Boris Low class. Marry her, immediately.

#1, I was thinking the same thing. The leader of a nation should not have a baby with his fiancee. He should be at the hospital with his wife and in wedlock-born child.

Mazel tov, but Boris, you really do have to make an honest woman of Ms.Symonds. The sixties are long over.

My devoutly Christian Yorkshire relatives hate it too, #1, but remember the other recognized “faiths” such as islam, paganism and atheism which have sadly filled the void that a weak Church has left behind. More than a few Christians over there say if William and Kate could openly shack up for that many years openly and the Queen and Anglican Church okayed it, well? Andy and Fergie have been openly living together at Royal Lodge for many years too. Therefore, nobody blinks at 10 Downing Street being the unmarried love nest of the Prime Minister.

As my dear departed grandmother said " The first baby can come anytime, it's the second one that takes 9 months".

Declining to moralize, I wish them the same kind of happiness I see on their faces at the rugby match. i am glad he recovered from a dreadful illness and will be alive to share the pleasure of the woman who will be his wife and their new baby son.

I like Boris' politics, and it isn't really important what any American (meaning ME) thinks about his private life.
He's doing a lot of good for his country, for certain.

Fiancée? I believe the proper term is concubine.

Boris:
Too bad you can't read this.
You are a certifiable pig with apologies to porcines giving their lives daily in the support of Owens and Jimmy Dean sausage.
One hopes you pull up your pants long enough to marry the mother of your baby.
And do something with your hideous hair. It is as much awry as are your lack of personal morals.

Seems more and more common these days...babies born out of wedlock...tracks back to all the free sex and 'do it if it feels good, the hell with the consequences......I have to say I'm 'old school' and think they should get married before making babies...whatever they call the kid, it is still a bastard.

Boris has his work cut out for him at Number 10. Britain´s cherished National Health Service has been performing badly during this covid crisis. The death rate among confirmed cases is over 13%! That is a rounding error lower than Italy´s death rate. The U.S. has a death rate of about 5.7%. The NHS has great doctors and nurses, so what´s the problem? I really hope he can get the NHS´s problems sorted out. The NHS is a beloved institution in Britain, a third rail in their political life, as it were.
