Ivy League schools have been criticized for netting millions in taxpayer-funded coronavirus bailouts despite swimming in endowments worth billions. The country's most prestigious private universities including Harvard, Princeton and Yale are among the beneficiaries of Washington's $2trillion rescue package to keep businesses afloat during the epidemic. Higher education institutions have been apportioned $14billion of the aid provided under the CARES Act to weather the financial hits landed by the lockdown. Students have been sent home, and while many are taking classes remotely, the schools risk not collecting the totality of tuition fees. Of the top private schools, Cornell and Columbia will receive the most at $12.8million each.

I know several small business owners who are really sweating their payrolls, and these greedy schools and big businesses are scooping up every bit of cash they can get their hands on. It is infuriating. Particularly the schools that pay no taxes on their enormous endowments.

One thing people should learn about universities, especially the 'Ivy League' types, they never spend their own money on anything. Full stop. They are populated with nothing but bureaucratic leaches and academic moochers.

These schools are staying true to form. For years they have been bilking American taxpayers with ridiculous tuition for their kids to get nothing but liberal propaganda and not learn a useful thing. They have quite a scam going and now we are going to pay them more.

You pay a ho and you get something in return. You pay these college hos and get a slap in the face. Their pimp, the government, should give them the shiv and then cut off the $$$.

If Shake Shack had the integrity to return the $10 Million, then Harvard, Yale and Princeton should do likewise. Aren't the elites the ones who set the standards for us plain people?

With this transfer of wealth (ours) these America-hating leftists institutions should be called leeches from here on out, not ivy league.

When the dust begins to settle (and shortly after Trump's re-election), I fervently hope EVERYTHING changes. I cannot pinpoint exactly why, but I am beginning to seethe with anger at certain inequalities. I think it's because I know I am an expendable cog in the grindhouse, but the bigger cogs, which are every bit as expendable as I am, keep tossing me in the grinder maw first to save their own ass. And I am seeing (lookin' at you, Nancy) who keeps helping THEM do the toss, while stepping on my neck. And every time I hear or read a headline that says: Devastating crisis shuts down the planet, but women and minorities hurt harder - or - Good news for the atmosphere with millions of cars not going to work each day - or - Nancy Pelosi's $24K freezer is chock full of gourmet ice cream, while I'm not sure how to make it through next month - I want sheet to get real for those who built the grinder. Media, Hollywood, universities, environazis...yeah. You guys go first this time.

President Trump when asked at his briefing today said that Harvard should return the money to the Government. Since what is good for the goose is good for the gander, the other Ivy League Schools should do likewise.

The exclusive, white male dominated Great Ivy Leagues went south with the inclusion of females and quotas.

I thought the money was going to essential services/ businesses. These propaganda factories are about as non-essential as CNN or MSNBC. I'm wondering how much screaming we'd hear, if some of these millions were going to gun stores and gun/ ammo factories?

Greed and theft. Just like the money provided for the Kennedy Center at Pelosi’s request. They all have more endowments than the money set aside in the bill for small businesses. Crooks all of them!

So the rich commie universities get more free money despite billions in the bank. What the hell is wrong with Congress? Incompetent is what they are.

It's right there in the US Constitution: taxpayers of the various states will guarantee the income streams of private ventures, even if they don't really need the money. Ordinary taxpaying slobs on the street, meanwhile, get to draw down their savings and tighten their belts another notch. Also, how many of these schools helped China develop the virus they unleashed?
