Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) on Friday accused President Donald Trump of encouraging “illegal and dangerous acts” that could lead to “violence” by calling on states to be liberated from stay-at-home orders implemented due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.“The president’s statements this morning encourage illegal and dangerous acts. He is putting millions of people in danger of contracting COVID-19. His unhinged rantings and calls for people to “liberate” states could also lead to violence. We’ve seen it before,” Inslee said in a statement.“The president’s call to action today threatens to undermine his own goal of recovery by further delaying the ability of states to amend current interventions

He might be right, in which case his comments will be lost. But he might be 100% flat stoopid wrong, in which case Republicans can run by quoting his words for years.
I just love the way Trump is forcing Democrats to take sides on this issue. The worst hit areas are all Democrat controlled, so the fun will continue until election day.

“Liberate” those states from Democrat totalitarian Governors! Hard to disagree with that they all should be voted out of office!

What is dangerous about being liberated from a self imposed quarantine? People will be freed to come out of their homes, go to stores, parks, visit each other, go to work, and to lead normal lives. Pres Trump is not calling for riots in the streets or overthrowing a fascist Governor who does not believe in the US Constitution.

35 Chinese virus cases and 3 related deaths (maybe, they were all very old and had very serious health conditions already) in my whole county and tens of thousands were put out of work and on lockdown because of it.
People are ticked and they will remember come November.

People making their own choices is terrifying to liberals. They want to keep everyone on a short leash and cowering in the basement. When states start to re-open for business, Inslee and his ilk will mourn their brief moment of ruling by decree.

There is a lot that Jay Inslee does not understand, and one of those is he really shouldn't take on a super smart strategist such as our President Trump. Having Inslee running our lives is unimaginably bad, but this is the lost left coast after all with the worst of governors, Newsom, Kate Brown and Inslee

But un-Constitutional acts under the color of law,
those never lead to “violence”,
right Jay?

It was different right after President Trump took office. I wonder what Inslee (the snake) thought about this:
On 28 February 2017, Senate Democrats posted a short video statement from former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch (who held that position during the last two years of President Obama’s second term) which has been cited to accuse her of encouraging violent protests against President Donald Trump’s administration:
'I know that this is a time of great fear and uncertainty for so many people. I know it’s a time of concern for people who see our rights being assailed, being trampled on, and even being rolled back. I know that this is difficult, but I remind you that this has never been easy. We have always had to work to move this country forward to achieve the great ideals of our Founding Fathers.
It has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference. They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.'

The President should simply publish suggested guideline and reopen the federal government. Voters will insist their states follow.

PDT has asked the governors to think and carry thru a plan for their respective states. Some of the governors don't want that type of responsibility.

All public protests involving a lot of people could possibly lead to violence, but that not a reason to take away citizens constitutional right to protest government action. If violence then breaks out, it is up to local authorities to respond accordingly and take action against anyone who is perpetrating violent violations of the law. Governor Inslee may not like it, but there is no provision of law that requires President Trump to give up his 1st Amendment right to free speech when he is serving as President.
