It was hard not to think of President Trump as the Queen of England delivered one of the most moving speeches imaginable in this difficult coronavirus-plagued time.
The 93-year-old Elizabeth II did it to perfection.
“I hope in the years to come, everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge
(snip)
The Brit grit the queen showed on Sunday reminds us that, to his great and enduring credit, Mr. Trump, for all his endless factual errors and sloppy misstatements, has for many weeks been trying to set a positive tone and give hope to America.

I stopped at the massive falsehood...."for all his endless factual errors and sloppy misstatements".
Hey, butthead. Tell me about just ONE actual "factual error", JUST ONE?

FTA: "Dead Americans versus legitimate fear of a dead American economy — that is his question."
This is not, as the author implies, an either/or choice. There is a high degree of correlation between economic Healthy economies facilitate healthy citizens and distressed or dead economies yield distressed or dead citizens.

As a physician it never occurred to me that he was fixated on hydroxychloroquine. I thought he was just stating factual information.

"The 93-year-old Elizabeth II did it to perfection."
Sure. It was easy for her because all she had to do was give a pep talk. That was a good thing to do but she didn't have to make any policy decisions so there was nothing to criticize her for. She tried to cheer her subjects up with long term visions that no one could really question. I have great respect for Elizabeth II but comparing her to the President or any other executive leader is pointless. They have totally different jobs and she has no "opposition party" idiots to deal with.
Everything said about Trump is blah, blah, blah.

Reportedly it's in one of his stock programs with a group of other stocks. If it's any large amount compared to the total that would be a surprise. Of course Trump haters have to be on the lookout for any negative they can find.

It's not a question of people's lives vs. the economy. That's a false narrative. These people don't understand that the economy IS people's lives.

I'm with you Poster #2. Lying anti-Trump statements automatically stop me from reading the article, because it's just going to be more Trump bashing!

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine and the z-pak were working for people. It's just common sense to expand it's use. The problem is, the left has no common sense.

This was a Bash Trump article of the raised eyebrows, splayed fingers, shrugged shoulders “I’m just trying to help” variety. Trump is doing yeoman’s work and a damn good job of leadership as well. Only the meanest of soreheads fail to give the man the credit he deserves as he lauds his Covid-19 response team, healthcare workers all over the land and the American people. When this is over the media will dine out on how Trump should have done everything differently and blah, blah, blah. I’m already bored just thinking about it. And, after reading the whole article, I still have no idea what Queen Elizabeth has to do with anything.
