Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced she was forming a special House panel to oversee the distribution of billions of federal dollars dedicated to the response to the coronavirus outbreak.Pelosi, a California Democrat, said Thursday the panel would “prevent waste, fraud, and abuse” and would be bipartisan. She appointed the House majority whip, South Carolina Democrat James Clyburn, to oversee the panel.“The committee will be empowered to examine all aspects of the federal response to coronavirus and to assure that the taxpayers' dollars are being wisely and efficiently spent to save lives, deliver relief, and benefit our economy,” Pelosi told reporters.

Either an attempt to steal the limelight and look relevant OR an attempt to sabotage the president. What it most certainly is NOT is an attempt to prevent government waste.

Two problems with this committee. As an oversight committee for the 2.2 trillion dollar stimulus bill I have no problem, thats the houses Job. That being said that spending oversight is not what this committee is being set up to do. It is only the smallest part of the mission. The devil is in the details. First the directive is to perform "oversight" (that's DC Speak for witch hunt} on every aspect of the federal response. So they are Pelosi's what did he know and when did he know it hit squad. The second clue is the committee chairman. Clyburn is on eof the most rabid anti trump bigots in the house. And given the sheer number and the rabidly corrosive culture in the Dem party, that's saying something. So here is my guess on what happens. The committee forms, meets for 15 minutes and IMMEDIATELY launches a congressional investigation into the Trump coronavirus response and why every action since December 1st (First reported coronavirus case in China) has been a direct and premeditated attempt to kill Americans, especially african americans, women, children and transgenders, and how unfit Trump is for the Presidency. The committee will also become a bully pulpit for the Dem candidate's presidential campaign with 24 seven coverage of Trumps attempts to kill us all. Oh, and every one of those actions will be an impeachable offense so there's that little cherry on top as well.

“prevent waste, fraud, and abuse” Too late. Pelosi already included waste, fraud and abuse in what she added to the bill. There was absolutely no reason to include money for the humanities and for the Kennedy Center. Those funds did nothing toward the war against the virus. you people may be missing the obvious. The dimocrats have been sent to the back of the bus, missing out on the Kung Flu action. dJt is driving the bus. therefore, Nancy Pelosi has to create a way for the dimocrats to gain some attention, and grease the skids for the crucial black vote in November. What better way than to put a black face in charge of a bunch of nothing - oversight - than James Clyburn/ I think its a smart political move. But it won't work. DJT is on a course where he may pull 20 percent of the black vote. If he does, he wins overwhelmingly.

Why is it democrat "oversight" is only necessary when a republican is in the White House? Where was the "special House panel to oversee the distribution of billions of federal dollars" during the $800 billion 2009 stimulus? What about the millions spent on the Obamacare website which took one application and crashed? Where were the updates from VP Joe Biden who was tasked with being transparent with the American people about how the money was spent? Not to mention the so-called infrastructure spending: $98.3 billion of the stimulus was dedicated to transportation and infrastructure. Of that $98.3 billion, only about $27.5 billion was actually spent on transportation infrastructure. What happened to the rest of that money? And not one word from Nancy Pelosi or any other democrat. Who thinks this "special House panel" will be anything other than yet another hit job on PDJT?

Just more harassment of President Trump and his team as they manage the novel corona virus pandemic by Pelosi and the Democrats. Next step is for them to hold hearings and to call a bunch of Obama era Deep State super bureaucrats who are disagreeing with the Administration’s actions, and the fact that Trump is getting rid of a lot of interagency “Red Tape” and regulations that are designed to slow down the federal government’s ability to deal with the novel corona virus. The D.C. play is old, the plot and actors are boring, and the seats are empty. On Broadway, this is the kiss of death. To some in Congress, the Corona-19 virus looks like the next opportunity to impeach Trump. However, based on the similar outcomes of old plays with boring plots and actors in Washington D.C. and New York City, it's gonna be just the opposite. Amid the confusion, fear, and uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in the United States, one thing is obvious: this country is astonishingly fortunate to have Donald Trump as our president. In predictably trite, small-minded fashion, the liberal media and clueless Democratic politicians have treated the pandemic as nothing more than an opportunity to score shallow political points against President Trump. All manner of "Trump has blood on his hands" and "His Pollyanna-ish downplaying of the scope of the crisis at the beginning cost us valuable time" comments and criticism have been forthcoming on an almost daily basis from the usual suspects.

On Wednesday’s show, co-host Byron Pitts ended an interview with Vice President Mike Pence by asking him “not in a political way,” but whether he “talk[s] to God” about feeling remorse for Americans who have died “because of steps the federal government did not take soon enough.”So here we had a journalist ask the Vice President if he prays to the Lord with a heart of repentance for having been responsible for dead Americans. Surely, Chuck Todd would be proud of that question.

The decision of American Navy to relieve the captain who warned publicly of coronavirus on his nuclear-powered aircraft carrier strikes us as the right move. We get that it’s a sad setback for an officer in an incredible command. The minute we read the captain’s letter about the crisis on United States Ship Theodore Roosevelt, though, we saw it as a breach on a matter that should have been kept within the chain of command. That’s easy to say, we understand, for a newspaper whose landlubber of an editor can’t go to Jones Beach without getting seasick. We’ve followed the reports that Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) certainly has a way of rewriting history. Pelosi appeared on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell today with Mitchell about a Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) that impeachment may have slowed down the federal response to the Wuhan coronavirus. It’s a good question because Democrats have prioritized their quest to get the president any way they can since he was elected and they have never counted the cost of that effort. While Trump responded immediately in January, Democrats were completely focused on their continuing narrative against Trump. The virus to them was just another avenue to try to attack Trump,

The notoriously far-left city of San Francisco has reversed its own ban on plastic bags in response to the spread of the coronavirus, now prohibiting the use of reusable bags as a sanitary measure, according to Politico. The push to ban plastic bags, which leftists have claimed, without evidence, are more likely to cause pollution, had been achieved in many liberal cities, from San Francisco to New York. However, with the fear of spreading the contagious coronavirus, the same bags being used multiple times are more likely to help spread the disease than single-use plastic bags. The move is the latest action taken by San Francisco and the California state government

On Thursday, The New York Times published a story suggesting that the South is uniquely dangerous for the spread of the coronavirus. Michael Barbaro, host of the Times podcast "The Daily," shared the map with the text, "In a word....The South." Yet both the NYT article and Barbaro's tweet ignored basic realities about American life that help explain the reasons behind the map — and show that the South is not a uniquely dangerous region during this crisis. In the article, "Where America Didn't Stay Home Even as the Virus Spread," James Glanz dissects cellphone location data from the data intelligence firm Cuebiq.

Just so you know — these “experts” are making it up as they go along. And these experts are going to destroy the US economy based on total guesses and hysterical predictions. On March 15, 2020 Dr Anthony Fauci told Jon Karl on ABC that the US could expect up to 21 million coronavirus hospitalizations and up to 1.7 million coronavirus deaths.

More than 6.6 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits last week. (Snip)C.D.C. is expected to advise all Americans to wear cloth masks in public. The Trump administration is expected to announce as soon as Thursday that all Americans should wear cloth masks or other face coverings if they go out in public, based on a forthcoming recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that would mark a shift in federal guidance amid new concerns that the coronavirus is being spread by infected people who have no symptoms.

Most of West Antarctica and large areas of East Antarctica were once covered in rainforest, scientists say. Today’s icy wasteland would’ve once played host to huge amounts of plant-life – during an unusually toasty period in history 90 million years ago. Evidence for the rainforest suggests the climate was “exceptionally warm.” The rainforest dates back to the mid-Cretaceous when sea levels were around 550 feet higher.
