Just yesterday I saw a video of a Chinese worker wiping his shoes with new masks that were lying on a filthy concrete floor, and laughing about it.....kind of makes you wonder why we get anything from China...

Or better than the leaky condoms that Jocelyn Elders gave out without saying that they were faulty.

Let's hope they aren't defective like 30% of what the Chicoms sent to Europe was, or even worse.

Literally the LAST country I'd go to for anything, much less Wu Flu masks. What is Kraft thinking?

Good luck with that Bob, and good luck getting nondefective, noncontaminated masks too. You have good intentions, but unfortunately China is not interested in playing ball with you at the moment.
I suspect that when this is all said, done and over with, there are going to be some serious rethinking ideas in the WH to reset the trade we have with China. I certainly hope the big corporations are paying attention, because the public sure is.

I wouldn't use one of these unless I knew that it had been sterilized after it arrived stateside, and even then, I'd be leery! Let the China loving media test them. I'm sure that Buttwipe Acosta would be glad to take one for the team, or maybe Morning Joke or the Madcow!

Better sterilize them and don't touch them or really go near them! Get a robot to pick them up and deliver to the sterilization plant. Seriously.

He means well but giving China this PR does not help . Plus, I would not trust the safety
and/or sanitation of anything China provides to “help” Americans.

Pre-infected with the virus? I do not trust China at all. I'd sterilize those masks before issuing them to anyone.

This shipment should be marked as "Use at your own risk". That is a risk I would not take.

Man the cabin fever is getting serious, The vast majority of N95 masks currently in use were made in China. The hydroxychloroquine that might cure this disease is mostly made in China, the ventilators we need, the disposable gowns for our healt care workers, even the disinfectant wipes we so seriously covet all made in China. We cannot ramp up our manufacturing fat enough to replace what is made in China.
The only good thing that could possibly come out of this is for our companies and federal government to finally realize what a HUGE mistake it was to allow so much of our day to day products to be outsourced to a sworn enemy. The stupifdity of this action is mind boggling.
As for disinfecting, the virus only lasts a few hours on soft porous materials and less than 72 hours on metal surfaces (except copper, copper kills it in seconds). The Masks will be fine by the time they get to their final destinations. The virus wouldn't even survive the flight to Logan.

Wrenched your shoulder out with all the back patting. I take you no one in your organization has read about the contaminated masks and other supplies provided to Italy and Spain. Does no one on the East Coast read?
