A large haul of drugs, including opioids, methamphetamine and cocaine, being smuggled from Mexico to California was seized from a cross-border tunnel equipped with ventilation, lighting and an underground rail system, authorities said Tuesday. The tunnel connected warehouses in Tijuana and San Diego, extending about 2,000 feet (610 meters) with an average depth of 31 feet (9.5 meters) and width of 3 feet (0.9 meter), according to the San Diego Tunnel Task Force, an investigative team made up of several federal agencies. Investigators believe the tunnel existed for several months “due to the advanced construction observed in several portions.” Authorities seized more than 2 tons of a variety of drugs,

Start with a stream of thin concrete. That goes to the middle of the tunnel. Then thicken up the concrete near the ends of the tunnel.

I’ll bet that human trafficking pays a big part in that too. The President has put these reprobates on notice and they know he means business. Makes me wonder how much money they have dropped into politicians coffers in order to look the other way. There are some very wicked pols selling their souls for filthy lucre from the local level to the federal level. This kind of thing does not happen in a vacuum, money has silenced many people. I believe the President's willingness to go after the drug and human traffickers is one big reason the left and some on the right hate him. They are afraid he will expose them and with God’s help, he will. The underbelly of this heinous operation has ties to many rich and powerful people and they are desperate to get rid of the threat that the President presents.

“ Fire in the hole ! “ Oops, can’t... California, homeless can claim it as their right to squat there as a residence. By the time you get over all those legal hurdles it will be listed on the historic registry and we will have to preserve it.

Like night follows day, Adam Schiff is vowing to launch another “investigation” into the Trump administration’s response to the Wuhan flu. Whether or not it was spawned in that wet market or the Wuhan lab as a bio weapon, China seems to be using it as a cudgel in a diabolical attempt to bring the U.S. to its knees. Trump likely knows this but for a moment must accede to the hysteria. China thought they had us between the rock and the hard place since they produce so many of our needed drugs, beginning with Tylenol and all manner of antibiotics.

Joe Biden has a problem: With all eyes on coronavirus, and Trump functioning as the Commander in Chief during what amounts to a war, complete with a wartime economy, Biden has become irrelevant. Because he’s older and therefore vulnerable to the virus, he can’t even leave his house. Instead, he’s hidden away. This is a lousy situation for someone who is trying to become president in the next election. During his stumbling video appearances, Biden has three available tactics: (1) He can support the president during this crisis, (2) he can criticize the president, and (3) he can offer opposing solutions. Biden refuses to do Item One,

Class, please pay attention as our immersive history lesson continues. The month of April is designed to teach how everyday life was in the old Soviet Union. Consumer Goods Shortages In the Soviet era, central planners had to continually balance national security and consumer demand for goods and manufacturing output. National security always won out, resulting in chronic food and consumer goods shortages across the communist bloc. These shortages will be simulated by inadequate supply of chosen items, such as toilet paper, surgical gloves, and masks. Assigned homework will consist of standing in long lines for such items and wandering various stores

There is a growing realization in the Hindu American community that Democrats, who present themselves as warriors for social justice, do not believe in justice for Hindus. They are even willing to whitewash crimes against Hindus in order to appeal to Muslim voters. These concerns have grown sharply over the last few months. Central to the issue are reactions to the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is portrayed on the Left as being the Trump of India and disparagingly referred to as a Hindu nationalist. Modi is held in high esteem by many American Hindus. Various Modi policies have been condemned by Democrats but praised by Hindus

Crazy times cry out for good music — the kind that sends your spirits soaring, even as it helps keep you grounded. That often means classic rock for some, but for me, it’s classical music, period. I grew up with a musician who, when she wasn’t leading her Brooklyn elementary school’s glee club, could usually be found at our piano. I’d fall asleep to Bach fugues and Beethoven sonatas, seeing pictures in my head and making up lyrics for the glorious sounds coming from our living room. When Mom wasn’t playing, radio station WQXR was. I still listen to it today, all the time —

Pressure is mounting for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to return $25 million it received from the massive federal coronavirus bailout package signed into law last week after its president was heard on leaked audio telling staffers their jobs would still be lost. And one lawmaker has even introduced a bill to have the funds rescinded. The audio, recorded during an internal conference call with staff, revealed how executives at the Washington, DC arts icon lobbied lawmakers for the massive handout from the $2 trillion national aid package — but then furloughed more than 700 staffers. Wisconsin GOP Rep. Bryan Steil introduced a bill to rescind the $25 million in funding,

But the effort to keep voters from going to the polls in person Nov. 3 faces legislative and financial roadblocks. The price for states to change their methods of voting could pass $2 billion, Axios said. And 12 states don’t allow voters to cast ballots by mail.
