Tuesday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” network White House correspondent Jim Acosta said at the coronavirus press conference President Donald Trump seemed “scared.”He said, “Anderson, I will tell you in seven years I have covered the White House, that is the most stunning briefing I have ever sat through. To have public health officials come in and try to explain to the American people that they need to come to grips with the fact – or the very strong likelihood that we’re going to see 100,000 to 200,000 Americans die over the next couple months from the coronavirus. I have to tell you — it was just downright chilling.”

The President is walking a fine line. Many people will not be convinced that staying home
is necessary until they see piles of body bags.
Yet, the President knows that piles of body bags are not good for the USA.

Every question Acosta asks and every statement he makes is calculated to damage Trump. In fact, President Trump is anything but afraid. But the fear among Acosta and his fellow mainstream media Trump-haters is palpable. The US death estimate has, in a matter of weeks gone, from 2.2 million to less than 1/10 of that (and may fall further). Coronavirus curves are leveling off in Europe, with the US hopefully soon to follow. Stocks are rebounding. The President's approval rating is even higher than it was before this ordeal began. And with a greatly reduced number of people in airports, what must CNN's already abysmal viewership be now? Trump and America will emerge from this stronger than ever. But Acosta, et al. are scared, very scared -- you can feel it.

Is that what obnoxious Jim Acosta saw? Well I saw a leader and a general scold a man child. President Trump knows what a nation that panics can do and it doesn't help control the China virus. Thank God we have adults working on this disaster because what Obama would have done was nothing and then go golfing.

Why is Breitbart reporting this tripe? The American people have eyes and ears and saying President Trump seemed scared is not something that's the American public have witnessed. What we're seeing is a U S President 100% committed to resolving a crisis of this magnitude. Acosta is the lowest of the low in the WH press corp. He's a cheap grade puppet following the dictates of Jeff Zucker. CNN is a disgrace of a cable channel and the FCC should shut them down.

I saw Acosta with Trump at this briefing yesterday. Despite Acosta's typical pot-stirring, Trump was patient, accommodating and unduly respectful as he addressed his concerns over the upcoming couple weeks. The exchange between the two went on for quite some time, I was surprised as Trump had to get his message across.
The upshot is Acosta may be the most indecent bastid in the ugly history of tv news.

Acosta represents the Baby Hueys of the nation, the overgrown stupid children. Yes, Jim, the President is afraid of the COVID 19 illness and the future death toll it will cause. Actual people, even people you know, Jim, will die in the next several weeks. Of course Trump is scared. He isn’t a fool. No, Jim, he couldn’t have prevented disaster in this case. You see, Jim, people, including Donald Trump, are unable to see into the future. There is, however, a type of person who watches events unfold and then blames a daddy figure for not preventing what they had no way of predicting. When this is over and the dead are buried and businesses pull themselves up and children are back in school and if we aren’t all busy learning Chinese and eating roadkill then we can look back and assess what could have been done differently. You, a national reporter and general motormouth, will be accurately placed on the “Get him! Kill!” impeachment squad that fatally redirected the President’s attention from fully addressing the nation’s needs to fighting off battalions of gnats like you. As it is, you and other of Trump’s Washington inquisitors will have a lot to answer for and we won’t forget what you did in a hoax against the nation’s President when an unseen crisis quietly gained strength in the background. You, Jim, have a whole lot to answer for.

If POTUS is scared of anything, it's the fear of the MSM continuing to spread fear on the one hand and not printing the truth and/or not using the power of their pens to convince all Americans what they must do to get Covid-19 in the rear view mirror on the other.

This ignoramus cannot read Donald Trump's mind so shut the heck up. Maybe what you sense as fear is grief for this whole situation. I can tell that Jim Acosta is a faithless individual. Our faith teaches us to not fear. Another book I have read is from Max Lucado, Be Anxious For Nothing.
We must never take our eyes off Jesus. The media, Democrats, liberals and Never Trumpers are distractions trying to take our eyes off Jesus.

There is the old saw about the glass being half full or half empty. With Acostya, there is no glass--only a big, steaming pile of CRAP.
What I saw was disgusted President who stayed in a 'press conference' for well over TWO HOURS answering questions along with the leaders of his team. What I also saw was a CLEAR laying out of FACTS that the slides showed that where states have taken action and worked to do what was asked several weeks ago that they were not having as many problems.
What I saw was a concerted effort to show that when the process is followed it WORKS.
What I saw a President who is disappointed in many citizens who are unwilling to do what is necessary for the common good and who are not considerate of others trying to convince others that UNLESS they actively join in to do their part, this is going to go on MUCH LONGER than it has to.
Also, almost without exception, the states with the biggest problems and potential problems have Governors who are doing STUPID things because they are liberals who dislike HIM more than they love the residents of their own states--
Anyone else notice this? Most of those states were way down at the bottom of those charts....

MY question...are POTUS , VP and the experts behind a plexiglass shield during these briefings with the enemy?? Or are they exposed??

My God!! If a reporter had acted like him in either FDR's or Truman's Administrations, he's be anonymously held in solitary and the key would be missing. Under LBJ or Clinton, he'd probably be dead.

Yes, you little turd, Acosta. Trump WAS scared at the press conference.
He was as scared as General Eisenhower was on the eve of D-Day when briefing his officers and telling them their expected casualty counts.
He was as as scared as President Lincoln who was honoring the dead at Gettysburg and knowing that yet more deaths were to come.
You are a truly vain, stupid and evil man.

Good grief, if this is the intellectual capability of the press I can understand why they are shedding watchers. Has this idiot even bothered to research the history of flu. For instance the number of flu deaths over the last ten years is estimated to be between 12000 and 61000 annually. This is an estimate there is no way to actually count total numbers accurately. Fauci was talking about the fact that so far the Coronavirus seems to have the potential to be a repeating virus, that if you get it you might be able to get it again over and over. They estimate that the death rate would be ten times the normal flue. Now there is a whole bunch of estimating going on here, and doctors being doctors they cover their asses by giving you blurry messages without hard and fast answers, which is probably to be expected. We haven't had the time to actually be able to know reasonably well what and who its going to infect and to kill.

I am very happy the president holds these long press conferences instead of letting the media interpret them for us. We the people will interpret them for ourselves thank you. Acosta is nothing except a pompous flake only interested in him. He serves no purpose for the general public. He sounds like he is in an alternate universe of twisted minds and fear mongering.

Acosta is evil. Pure unadulterated evil. The worst of the worst in the media IMO. Trump is one of the bravest men I have ever seen, facing down the evil and malicious smears and lies in what passes for our media now. Thanks to his own behavior, no way is any network gonna hire him for a spot. He has nothing left but local news, or obscurity. Nobody deserves it more than Abilio Acosta.

President Trump has all the responsibility for the health and welfare of the country on his shoulders. Acosta has no responsibility except to harass Trump as much as possible as a propaganda agent for the leftist and liberal Democrat resistance that has been ongoing since Trump was elected. Acosta continuously asking Trump why he did not take a certain presidential action back in January based upon information concerning the corona virus that only became known now is ridiculous and that is Acosta’s specialty. Acosta’s employer should send him to Antarctica to interview penguins about what they think of the pandemic.
