Sweden is taking a different approach in battling the coronavirus pandemic.
The country remains open for business and life goes on as usual with few restrictions. (skip) allowing life to go on as ‘normal’ with a few exceptions.
Unlike neighboring Denmark – which has restricted meetings to 10 people or less, Swedes are still going out to nightclubs, hanging out with friends, and even ‘enjoying ice creams beneath a giant Thor statue in Mariatorget square,’ according to the BBC.
No one is alone in this crisis, but each person has a heavy responsibility.”

It may be an interesting comparative case to study in the future.

I'm glad that common sense is still alive somewhere.

By restricting interactions all you do is delay the virus. The hope is that gives time to come up with a solution while you wreak havoc on an economy. Sweden is right. Viruses will have their way until herd immunity is reached: 66%-70% of a given population.

Since there seems to be a cure for most of those infected, this makes a lot of sense. Get flu, get your quinine, go out, enjoy life.

More than 50% of Swedish households have only ONE person in them.
So Swedes are already quite isolated.

A prime example of how national sovereignty serves the interests of the entire globe. Without subjecting everyone to the same consequences we may discover a best practice for us all to follow. That's how our states are supposed to work. Best of luck Sweden, we all stand to learn and gain from your courage.
When one entity rules over all they can spin whatever story they want, and say: had we not done exactly as we did the deaths would have been X and the economic impact would have been Y, and nobody can prove otherwise.

I don't know how Sweden can get this right but be so wrong on immigrants.

Looks like Sweden may end up running the world after this apocalypse is over. I for one would gladly follow whatever orders its Swedish National Bikini Team thought was necessary.

Sweden is doing what would have happened here if it were not an election year with a Republican incumbent whom the media and liberals hate! If this were any other year, COVID-19 would have been mentioned as a new strain of the flu that makes old people sick. We would have heard about it for a week or two and it would then have faded away and been treated like any other strain of the flu is every other year.

They did the same thing with the Muslims… Maybe the Swedes just have a death wish?
My Wisconsin-born Dad used to talk about all the Swedes in Minnesota. In those long ago times, they were not considered to be too bright. Could the Wisconsinites have been on to something?

I prefer this solution to the one we are incorporating. Sweden is placing the responsiblity on the indivdual. Here, we are freeing criminals to prevent the spread in prison while jailing Christians worshiping in church. I know most don't give a bat's arse for civil liberties in times like this but civil liberties are needed after the pandemic, not persecution of those exercising theose liberties. We are a far too trusting society in our goobernment that wants to control us, not goobern based on our consent.

So the Plan seems to be "Let's see how many die so we have the best estimate of how deadly the virus is."...From the school of "We have to pass the bill to see what's in it".

The immigrants are young. The Swedes are old. This policy will help change the country over to Muslim which seems to be the goal of the government.

Sweden will be just fine, the deep state created a panic which caused an emergency. Trump used his emergency powers to seize the fed. Fair trade for staying at home for a while. Getting our monetary system back from the swamp will bring a whole lot of money back in to the system.

I'm 25% pure Swedish (Thanks Grandpa!) and proud of it in so many ways. Not this time. This idealistic Darwinian nonsense only gives credence to that centuries old slur: Dumb Swede.
