Sweden Decides to Let Coronavirus to Run

Sweden is taking a different approach in battling the coronavirus pandemic. The country remains open for business and life goes on as usual with few restrictions. (skip) allowing life to go on as ‘normal’ with a few exceptions. Unlike neighboring Denmark – which has restricted meetings to 10 people or less, Swedes are still going out to nightclubs, hanging out with friends, and even ‘enjoying ice creams beneath a giant Thor statue in Mariatorget square,’ according to the BBC. No one is alone in this crisis, but each person has a heavy responsibility.”

By restricting interactions all you do is delay the virus. The hope is that gives time to come up with a solution while you wreak havoc on an economy. Sweden is right. Viruses will have their way until herd immunity is reached: 66%-70% of a given population.

A prime example of how national sovereignty serves the interests of the entire globe. Without subjecting everyone to the same consequences we may discover a best practice for us all to follow. That's how our states are supposed to work. Best of luck Sweden, we all stand to learn and gain from your courage. When one entity rules over all they can spin whatever story they want, and say: had we not done exactly as we did the deaths would have been X and the economic impact would have been Y, and nobody can prove otherwise.

Sweden is doing what would have happened here if it were not an election year with a Republican incumbent whom the media and liberals hate! If this were any other year, COVID-19 would have been mentioned as a new strain of the flu that makes old people sick. We would have heard about it for a week or two and it would then have faded away and been treated like any other strain of the flu is every other year.

I prefer this solution to the one we are incorporating. Sweden is placing the responsiblity on the indivdual. Here, we are freeing criminals to prevent the spread in prison while jailing Christians worshiping in church. I know most don't give a bat's arse for civil liberties in times like this but civil liberties are needed after the pandemic, not persecution of those exercising theose liberties. We are a far too trusting society in our goobernment that wants to control us, not goobern based on our consent.

Two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers in Michigan rescinded their votes to certify the election results, saying Wednesday they were bullied into changing their original votes, and state authorities had refused to conduct an audit. As Breitbart News reported Tuesday, the board originally deadlocked 2-2 along partisan lines and failed to certify the results because of discrepancies between ballots and voter rolls. But after public abuse and threats, and with the video stream down, the two Republicans agreed to change their votes, saying that they’re promised state authorities would audit the results.

(skip)Twitter user "US Rebel" (@USRebellion1776), however, found that the number of votes cast for Joe Biden far exceeds those cast for that state's Senate candidates in swing states, while those cast for Trump and GOP Senators remains far closer.

A tsunami of Democrats seeking ballots through the mail in this pandemic-plagued presidential election year is upending the very dynamics of voting in Ohio. When Hollywood actors open their mouths, we're used to hearing overwrought, vapid attacks on conservatives and, especially, against Donald Trump. Whether it's Rob Reiner, Cher, Barbra Streisand, or all those actors who make public service videos in which they look earnest and promise to do or believe whatever the latest leftist orthodoxy demands, Hollywood types almost invariably debase public discourse. There are exceptions, such as James Woods and Patricia Heaton. And this week, Jim Caviezel is the Hollywood actor who showed philosophical depth about the war of values being waged in America.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s plan to increase the capital gains tax could lead to a large-scale sell-off of stocks, according to economic analyses. As part of his $4 trillion tax plan, Biden has proposed increasing the top tax rate for capital gains for the highest earners to 39.6% from 23.8%, the largest real increase in capital gains rates in history. Economic analyses show that capital gains tax hikes cause a burst of stock-selling in advance of the increase, as investors look to lock in the lower existing tax rates before they rise.
