Gov. Cuomo for veep? Well, never say never — but it’s unlikely.
Yes, the governor is up to his neck in five-star reviews for his management of the coronavirus crisis. His TV presence radiates calm competence. Clearly, he has gotten the poetry of governance in a maelstrom right; whether he is on top of the prose of it remains to be seen, but it certainly seems so.
And of such stuff are political superstars born. So it’s no surprise that people are talking him up as a potential partner to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. If ever a candidacy needed a belt of Red Bull, it’s Biden’s.
Nah, he’s already promised Stacey Abrams.

Why isn't Cuomo being held responsible for New York being in such a condition that it became the leading coronavirus cess pit in the first place?

I don't think so. Even Biden with his diminished capacity would instinctively not want the scion of the Coma Family as his VP. They'd off him faster than Felonia von Pantsuit.

Cuomo would have to transition to female to get the job.

A better question might be who is Cuomo going to pick as his Veep.

I think the new and correct interrogative in the headline should be “Where Joe Biden Doesn’t Dare Tap Andrew Cuomo For Veep.”
I asked my own team, “Where do we do about that headline”? They all agreed the first word had to be corrected.

Calm competence? Written by a contortionist who is adept at slinging bee s words at you and me. The only thing Joe has going for him is a wife who constantly checks his saliva and heartbeat.

If the Democrats will select Joe Biden as their nominee, the Democrats cannot possibly have any constraints on whom they may choose for VP, not without raising the standards.

Yeah, his management of the corona virus in NY has been so masterful that he owns the epicenter.
Great job, Andy. And, BTW, where is the $6 billion that went missing from HHS during your watch?

I don't think Plugs would be too keen about jumping out of a mafia staff car at the various campaign stops whenever Andy Coma is with him.
However, FTA - " His TV presence radiates calm competence." McManus, you must be a dyed in the wool dim, then?

Cuomo is all talk and not action. The one who has gotten things done for New York is President Trump.

But don't I recall that Biden promised that a third grade girl would choose his VP? Seriously. Someone said something like that. Wasn't that Biden?

Besides, remember those 16,000 ventilators Governor Goober was told he should by by his own health people back in 2015? The ones he decided to not buy, but to develop a system of ventilator rationing presided over by a ventilator officer who would decide who lives and who dies. He will have that shoved up his nose daily if he goes for Pres. Callous disregard for the lives of New Yorkers expanded nationally. What could possibly go wrong with THAT campaign?

The Governor refused 1,000's of ventilators so he could support illegal aliens, wind mills, solar arrays, and other left wing fantacies; He bans fracking which brings $Millions to other States. He threatens utilities. He is a real leader ??? I live in nYs and I can guarantee he is NO HERO upstate. However, he IS a leader when an emergency occurs, that I give him. He would make a fine Secy' of 'something' or ambassador to another Nation.

#13, that was Warren and I think it was about her secretary of education. But I can imagine Biden saying that too.

If this author thinks the DNC isn't pulling the strings I am sure somebody here has a bridge to sell him. They will not let the greatest bait and switch scam of all time slip through their fingers. Biden can say whatever he wants to, but in the end, the DNC will make the choice of who gets VP, as we all know that will be the real candidate for President.

All anyone really has to do is read the DNC rules for an answer to this conundrum.
If a presidential candidate becomes incapacitated in any way between the nominating convention (June) and the election (November), the DNC and the 50 state party bosses may "select" a replacement for that position. The Veep nominee does not move up automatically. Thus, Plugs could have his party and win the convention ... blocking Bernie, Warren, etc. ... and then step down either voluntarily or not. His replacement could be anyone. Yes, anyone.
It's a long time from June to November.

Sorry for the second post. I’m really quite disappointed in many of you Dotter’s saying Joe would break his VP choice promise by choosing Cuomo over a woman. Come on Dotter’s, snap out of it. Cuomo merely self identifies as a female during the campaign and promises made, promises kept.
