How nervous are some Democrats about Joe Biden's chances against President Trump this November? Nervous enough to entertain the notion that another Democrat, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, might swoop in and save the day.
Cuomo, who has been governor for nearly a decade and has one of the most famous names in Democratic politics, found new prominence when his state became the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis in the United States. In February and March, some New York officials urged the public to maintain regular activities even as the virus took hold in the state, leading to the worst outbreak in the country.

I guess Biden can go against his own word that he will nominate a woman, perhaps of color. If Cuomo was VP the dems would simply give the command to vote for Joe with the caveat that Uncle Joe would step down within the year letting Cuomo take over. I assume Joe could say that he never promised a woman VP. After all he can't remember who his wife and or sister is. It would be like the shower scene from Dallas. The VP promise was just a political wet dream.

Some people are really bizarre. Of the people who voted for Sanders, 15% say that they will vote for Trump in the election. Blank stare in to the distance.
How, exactly does that work? How can someone vote for Commie Bernie and then turn around and vote for the Champion of Free Markets instead?
I'll take their votes and be happy for them, but still.....What??!

More likely, Biden will mysteriously get the Wuhan virus, and, after he dies, Sanders will commit suicide on the side of the road with a shotgun blast to the back of his head (after first strangling himself), and Hillary will magnanimously consent to be the nominee.

Most of the state beyond Long Island and NYC hate Cuomo's guts. Practically all state taxpayer money flows to those areas. The rest of the state is considered fly-over country so they can whistle Dixie. He never visits that fly over country unless some catastrophe happens and he can make headlines or fawning TV out of it. But hey, fly-over country is good enough for his wind mills and solar farms, just not his precious L.I. or NYC area.

Wait a minute, Byron...were we not just told by Fox that Biden was leading by a million points and we're not going to bother with an election because creepy Joe has it all sewn up? FTA: 'The nominee should be selected by the party's voters. It is simple, straightforward, and sacred.' Uh..Byron..the only thing 'sacred' to demorats is winning at any cost. They would step on their voters faces if they thought it would help them win. There is nothing that would surprise me at this point. The only question will be: Who wants to get torched to a cinder by Trump?

#2 - I understand 15% of Bernie voters able to vote Trump. In 2016 we had lots of Bernie voters come by our Trump HQ. Grandpa almost took CA from the Hildebeast. She only beat him by two counties, of course LA and SF. One of our most popular bumper stickers was, "Feeling Berned? Vote Trump." A certain percentage of Bernie voters were really ticked at the DNC manipulations and Trump was a protest vote. Those that stopped by and talked to us liked Trump because he was an outsider, the main reason they were drawn to Bernie. These young people knew our government was corrupt and one outsider was a good as another.

Let's see they started with 20 candidates. Then, Mike Bloomberg. Now, Andrew Cuomo? Can Democrats make up their mind? And they want to run this country?

You have to wonder what the world thinks about Biden running for President of the United States, though there may be several countries who would be rooting for him. I think it has crossed the line to farce.

Mario Cuomo made the name Cuomo "one of the most famous names in Democratic politics" when he gave the keynote address to the Democratic National Convention in 1984. In other words, a speech cemented the name, and that was the best thing any of the Cuomos have done, and that was 36 years ago.

#2, the last time around the Bernie bros were enraged that the primaries were rigged by the DNC for Illary. If Biden drops out, the logical and fair replacement is the candidate who got the second most votes and that would be Bernie. If the DNC nominates anyone else, the Bro’s will go apeshiite. They’ve already vowed to set Minneapolis on fire if Bernie isn’t the nominee. They will make 1968 look like a little girl’s tea party in comparison. In the end, some will stay home and some will vote Trump. Unless Bernie decides to run third party.

I get great joy that the enthusiasm for the #PresidentCuomo meme shows the weakness of the dem party. The two "winners" of their primary are perceived to be so bad that they have no chance in November. In their desperation, some dems are now considering Cuomo. As is their wont, dems vastly hype their candidates strengths and minimize or completely ignore their weaknesses. Cuomo at least does seem to be able to speak without rambling too much and he isn't an AVOWED Communist. His popularity in NY is not great and he has glaring responsibility for NY being unprepared for this Chinese virus. He is abrasive. He is a party boss, not a party uniter.
This Cuomo "exit ramp" can only be taken by abandoning the voters, something the dem party is proving more and more that they are willing to do to get their way.
The reality is, dems have no capable people, only partisan hacks capable of surviving only in safe zones where voters are delusional enough to support them. Outside of these protective "greenhouse" environments, many dems wither and die. As dem failures grow and are exposed, more "dems" are wondering if their party has a future.

I can attest to Cuomo's inefficiency, as well as his "being led". Not only was he a terrible bust as head of HUD, but he was elected Governor of NY because he was going to clean up Albany. He started doing so, with investigative committees etc. And then suddenly disbanded them and stopped dead in his tracks. Who got to him? Or did he decide he needed the swamp to keep going himself.? Don't know, but DO know that Cuomo is succeeding now in NY because Trump and his administration are sending ventilators (sitting in a N.J. warehouse and not even known about), a ship and FEMA flitting out the Javitts Center. Without this aid, Cuomo would have NOTHING NOTHING to brag about or look effective about.

Cuomo looks great for the moment (i.e. to people who have never observed him at length). This is the person who said America was never that great. Tell that to the people who have served in uniform. Tell that to the gold star mothers. I'll say this for Cuomo, he doesn't appear to have had hair plugs and plastic surgery around the eyes. The homeliness is authentic. It mirrors his soul.

Matt Drudge is certainly pushing Cuomo for president. I don’t know when Drudge turned liberal but he undeniably is.

#16 - I haven't been to Drudge for over a year...My guess is Matt is on a beach somewhere sucking down Coronas after having sold out (literally and figuratively) to left wing interests. May I suggest rantingly.com or bongino.com instead.

The sad thing about 2016 was I feared Bernie Sanders more than Hillary Clinton because then Trump was still a question mark with no proven leadership like he has now. Hillary killed Bernie's chance when he would have run a stronger campaign than Clinton's to beat. I can see Sanders supporters who wish to vote turning out to vote for President Trump this time around.

His speech about getting cheated on stimulus funds and funds to fight coronavirus is not correct. He used percentages rather than numbers on what other states got using percentages looks like Trump hates New York. He compared Wyoming to New York with percentages, Wyoming got 17% while NY got 1.5%. Wyoming got millions of dollars while New York got billions of dollars. Cuomo is not honest in many of his statements, or misstatements. He, along with others are not capable of being president.

In 1993, Pace Picante sauce had an ad that featured the reaction of people when they found out their salsa was manufactured in " NEW YORK CITY?" It was funny, and Trump team should reprise this as a campaign ad.
