BLM Activists Riot After NY Police
Shoot Armed Man in Self-Defense

One police officer in Newburgh, N.Y. was shot when trying to arrest an armed man wanted for questioning in a shooting. Bodycam footage clearly shows the man armed with a silver handgun violently resisting arrest, drawing his gun, and shooting the officer before getting shot to death by the police. Cut and dried case of police defending themselves? Not if you're an activist wanting to stoke the fires of racial hatred. Newburgh residents rioted that evening after a councilman-at-large, Omari Shakur, bitterly complained about police targeting blacks.

Although the Constitution includes the right to "Peaceably Assemble" I don't remember any mention of the right to incite rioting and looting sprees. Until the Dem political elites permit a heavy Law Enforcement crackdown on both the the inciters and the participants, these violent events will continue.

We better be ready for more of this. I suspect after the election the crazies will be out in force. Maybe even before the election. Politicians that take advantage of this are reprehensible and should be held accountable for incitement to riot. Remember, BTM, Black Thugs Matter.

Blacks always lined up to riot. it doesn't take much no matter the reason. Baby needs new sneakers and baby daddy needs latest big screen to watch his sports. BLM has been out of the news lately like ANTIFA so some exercise was needed in this case to keep a high profile.

Even as a child my parents always told me that Newburg was a town to stay out of. There are many fine people that live there, I worked with a few of them. Over all, however, it has always been a trouble spot. The result of one party rule for many, many years.

The police made a mistake by not shooting him earlier but I would imagine that de Buffo has them all cowed into thinking that they are second rate citizens compared to BLM. If the hands do not go up immediately you don't take your sights off the guy until they do. We are going to see more of this in New York and in the other Leftist Utopias.

Any White House reporter who insists on asking the president whether something he said has alarmed people should first be asked to explain the running tally of deaths and infections that cable news keeps plastered on everyone’s screens. A Bloomberg reporter at Sunday’s press briefing asked President Trump whether he “maybe frightened some Americans” by suggesting in a tweet that New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut may need a federally mandated quarantine. At a separate press briefing two weeks ago, NBC’s Peter Alexander asked the president if his “impulse to put a positive spin on things may be giving Americans a false sense of hope and misrepresenting the preparedness right now.”

The ongoing dysfunctional codependent relationship between the political media and President Donald Trump flared up again on Sunday afternoon during a Rose Garden press conference on the government’s handling of the Wuhan virus that has swept the globe. Trump needs the media to act the way they do so he can dunk on them and look good by comparison. The media are enjoying the short-term rush of their war with Trump, wearing his abuse as a badge of honor among their peers. On Sunday, the media were pretty sure they had Trump in a bind when he reacted negatively to a question by PBS’s Yamiche Alcindor.

Black voters in South Carolina helped propel former Vice President Joseph R. Biden to the top of the crowded 2020 Democratic field and they continue to fuel his drive to the nomination, but whether that translates into the crucial high turnout he needs in November remains an open question. In several states with large black populations, Mr. Biden didn’t receive as much support from them as did former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic primaries when she squared off against Sen. Bernard Sanders — who is also Mr. Biden’s key competitor this time around. For example, in South Carolina and Virginia, Mrs. Clinton

The New York Times, the famous “Gray Lady,” long has seen its role as a standard-bearer for modern liberalism. Of course, the paper still employs competent, and sometimes brilliant, reporters and editors. The news operation, however, is as opinionated as the editorial page, only less honest about its bias. Editorials have gone from advocacy to crusading. The Left’s agenda is the paper’s agenda. Those who disagree on issues are treated as wrong on morality as well as policy. So it is with abortion. On Sunday, March 29, the Times devoted almost half the page to an editorial demanding unrestricted abortion at public expense. That position has become the litmus test

Last week, hundreds of Iranians reportedly died from drinking methanol — industrial alcohol — believing it was a cure for the coronavirus. Right now, there are over 100,000 cases of coronavirus infection in the United States, almost half of them in New York City. Gov. Cuomo for veep? Well, never say never — but it’s unlikely. Yes, the governor is up to his neck in five-star reviews for his management of the coronavirus crisis. His TV presence radiates calm competence. Clearly, he has gotten the poetry of governance in a maelstrom right; whether he is on top of the prose of it remains to be seen, but it certainly seems so. And of such stuff are political superstars born. So it’s no surprise that people are talking him up as a potential partner to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. If ever a candidacy needed a belt of Red Bull, it’s Biden’s.

President Trump has spoken out about the importance of trying new treatments in hopes that we can learn where there's room for optimism and where there is not. You’ve probably heard the expression those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach. A Rhode Island public school teacher perhaps gave that chestnut a new meaning by allegedly taking to Twitter with an offer to pay someone infected with COVID-19 to cough on President Trump. The educator in question, who has subsequently deactivated her Twitter account that purportedly operated anonymously under the handle “Proud Teacher,” is said to teach English as a Second Language to middle schoolers. She previously taught in neighboring Massachusetts. [Tweet] There is no indication as yet as to whether public school administrators will look into this matter further with an eye toward possible discipline.

In order to avoid that, those very high numbers, we have to do at least several things.
