President Trump has singled out a second conservative talk show icon in the Radio Hall of Fame for special recognition. In a statement, he tapped Michael Savage to serve on the board of the Presidio Trust that teams with the National Park Service to manage the Presidio of San Francisco, the former military fort that is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The release referred to his birth name, Michael A. Weiner, not Savage’s professional name. For Savage, whose Savage Nation radio show is on 200 stations and is also a giant podcast, the appointment was recognition for his environmental work and support for the military.

I used to listen to Savage not so much anymore, he constantly smears other talk show hosts mainly because they are more popular than him. He did it in a rather childish manner, sad because the guy is entertaining and has some good points.

The President is amazing. National health, and local appointments and he does get tired.

Haven't listened to Savage for years, but I still grin when someone uses his iconic line "Liberalism is a mental disorder!"

Oh boy, like he needs a bigger head. I give Savage a few minutes pretty much daily but almost always move on quickly. He's been particularly awful during this C-19 time, transparently self-righteous and grating.
Oddly, he has a couple substitute hosts who are quite good.

Right in Nancy's back yard, too! President Trump has raised liberal trolling to a high art form. Like most of you, I can take some Savage in small doses, and I agree it is unnecessary for him to denigrate other radio hosts, but he is still entertaining.

Let's face it, Michael Savage suffers from Napoleon syndrome ....short in stature who thinks he's the smartest man on the radio. This usually comes from a person with deep rooted insecurities.
Also, don't enjoy listening to him disparage others. It's small and petty and not needed for the content of the show. Other than that, I enjoy his unique articulate, funny, and informative rants...especially when he goes off. Nobody does better than Savage.
Yep, he's imperfect, however a great personality for radio. Been a fan for years and like other posters, will turn him off when he starts to criticize other conservative voices.

My first thoughts were the same as #1. Lots of SanFran extremists will be screaming and foaming at the mouth over this.

Agree with #13 to a point. He's a screwball, albeit an intelligent one, right on many issues. His Limbaugh inferiority complex, however, is both pathetic and well-deserved. Not even in the same league as Rushbo. Who is?
