The COVID-19 pandemic can be used to illustrate two problems that are both more destructive than the virus. The problems relate to how Americans view the role of government in their lives and to the belief that government money can always fix problems. Let's look at the money issue first. The immediate reaction of our government to the virus threat was to spend massive amounts of money. (snip) Has self-reliance been replaced by acceptance of dependence? Ask Americans these questions: whose responsibility is it to take care of people when they are old?

Our biggest problem is the government, especially Democraps with their needless spending of our money on things not even related to COVID-19, they are truly disgusting.

So are we now finding ways to bash Trump? With some of these articles, I can't tell if they are complimentary or critical of the President. Just curious to all of the naysayers out there: how would you handle it if you were President? No, really, you all can freely throw your opinion around at no cost but when you see people suffering because of death or loss, how silent and self -reliant could you be? Kind of makes me question where your faith life is at. . .

This is must read material. We have committed our youngest and future generations to servitude or war. We have spent their future and payback will come in one form or another. About 30% of that debt is foreign owned. Most of that debt is owed to ourselves. We have options for how we are going to screw our creditors. We can try to tax them into oblivion in order to pay them back. Other than the obvious nonsense, we already are past the threshold where increased taxation decreases the taxes collected by throttling the economy. Or we can default on that debt leaving the creditors holding the bag. This astoundingly rich nation does not pay as it goes and can has no surge capacity to meet emergent needs, shame on us. We go on pretending otherwise borrowing to flutter about to one global disaster after another as if we are solvent when in fact we are dead broke, actually worse than broke. " It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. " Thomas Jefferson

One thing is for sure, everyone in the country who has been paying attention now knows that borders matter, as there is no doubt that unlimited numbers of foreigners crossing US borders and European borders from China carried a huge amount of the Chinese corona virus into the USA and Europe. Allowing the virus to spread uncontrollably by infecting huge numbers of people in the USA and Europe. Clearly the Chinese Government knew that they had a pandemic on their hands, but kept it secret, and allowed large numbers of people to travel the world from the infected regions of China.

My brother who lives in Baltimore is a fellow black Christian conservative Republican. He phoned to warn me not to mention Trump to a senior relative. Fake news media's corona-madness has driven her hatred to the extreme. Now, she wants him dead! (snip) However, whenever Trump speaks directly to the American people, they believe him, gravitate to him, and love his America first agenda. This is why Democrats/fake news media continuously seek to block Trump from communicating directly to We the People. Absurdly, they claim his tweeting is an impeachable crime.

China claims coronavirus cases are a thing of the past, there are no new cases, and as Reuters touted the other day, has now begun its "return to normal." Here's normal: A huge protest march swept out of China’s Hubei province on Friday, with thousands of angry residents pouring across a bridge into neighboring Jiangxi province and clashing with police. The capital city of Hubei province is Wuhan, ground zero for the coronavirus pandemic. That's part of a comprehensive report from Breitbart describing the explosive state of unrest in China's big central province, based on Chinese citizen journalist reports

While President Trump closed the US border against entry from China at the end of January, his overall instinct was right. The CCP virus was nasty, but no worse than a supercharged flu. Health professionals overwhelmed Trump and his inner circle with doomsday scenarios, bullied by panic obsessed virologists and epidemiologists -- begging for attention and copying the alarmist playbook from the climate/global warming extremists, allied with the MSM Trump-haters. And now the government has completely suffocated economic demand, creating a depression

Last Saturday, I wrote a blog that focused on Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House Coronavirus Task Force’s leading medical expert, and his long background, especially as he shepherded the government’s four decade long war on HIV-AIDS. The article touched a deep nerve, helping to inspire a Washington Post article that ran yesterday: "As Trump signals readiness to break with experts, his online base assails Fauci. A cadre of right-wing outlets is laying the groundwork for Trump to disregard experts on his own coronavirus task force." For a time on Friday, the article was the second-most read at the Post's website

As America teeters on the brink of a planned catastrophic economic collapse, it is time to rethink our response to the deadly coronavirus that is afflicting us. There has to be an exit strategy out of this national suicide attempt that is being accomplished through lockdowns and the imposition of quasi-martial law. Responsible, enlightened governance requires tradeoffs that don’t look like one-size-fits-all collective punishment imposed from above. We got to this place because wildly overstated projections by monomaniacally focused experts stampeded policymakers into ordering draconian crackdowns on the general population, instead of focusing on the most vulnerable

Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding, the letter includes threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.

I have updated this chart a number of times, based on data from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control, and will continue to do so. It shows, for one thing, how far COVID-19 has to go before it equals the average seasonal flu mortality, worldwide. If I had to predict, I would guess that it will eventually reach the average level. Will it get to 2x the average number of flu deaths, worldwide? Looking at current trends, I don’t see how that will happen. But time will tell. Likewise in the U.S. You still can’t see the bar for COVID-19,
