New York Attorney General Letitia James is leading a coalition to stop Texas from blocking abortions during the coronavirus pandemic, her office announced Friday. Earlier this week, Texas issued a directive banning all non-emergency surgeries and procedures, including abortions, to free up resources. “Texas and other states are using the coronavirus as an excuse to deny women their constitutional right to an abortion,” James said in a statement. “This is a full-on assault on women’s reproductive rights not only in Texas, but across the country, and I will not allow any state to usurp the rights of women enshrined in the Constitution.”

Like Russians, conservative Texas has to contend with Yankee democrats again, trying to kill black & latino babies before they are born, but then want us to let in Latinos from south of our Border. Youse guys just enjoy the immigration you have inflicted on your own citizens....

Courts will toss it out. She does not have standing to sue. It is simply a political play to her base of baby killers.

I live in Texas - stay out of my state you liberal, baby-killing, treasonous murderer. I think this will be quickly dispatched. Just looking at her liberal face makes me sick. Yes, I have strong feelings about this.

None of her business what Texas does, and I certainly don't want to be a part of what New York does.

Every person with a lock-down, shelter in home order has had their enshrined Constitutional rights violated. This is supposed to save every life possible from COVID 19. But only the so-called Constitutional right of women to KILL babies has to be saved.

Another of Satan's handmaidens that must screech and wail whenever their blood initiation rite is threatened. When you only have one "sacrament" its an outrage when acolytes cannot participate. For it is through their blood sacrifice they are bonded into the anti-God creeds of all totalitarian ideologies. They must hold fast to their chains at all costs. It is their chains that hold them back from the dark abyss now a glaring maw at the edge of their conscience. They refuse to see that the Cross of Christ is the bridge across that abyss. Therefore, they screech and howl so the blood lust of Lucifer can be satiated.
Pray for these poor tortured souls, that they may seek the redemption of the Cross. Pray that young women faced with unplanned pregnancies have courage, and seek out pro-life clinics that support expectant mothers. Many are purposefully placed close to Planned unParenthood abortion mills. To end abortion and expose its horrible evil, we must make it unthinkable. Prayer is our most powerful weapon and is so easily deployed. Be not afraid. God is at work in the world.

This is the state who is sending out expeditions of terranauts to other states, so that when nyc has the massive dieoff they all think is coming, there will be some new yorkers to return and recolonize. They think they have the right to tell other states what to do, there terrorize their defectors with attempts to claw back taxes...

Mind y'own bidness. Things in NY must not be nearly as bad as Gov. Cooomo claims, if they have time to meddle in everyone else's.

So, gosh ... if Letitia thinks she can adjucate Texas policy from New York City, well, golly gee, what can we in Texas muck up in New York.
Reminds me of the old Pace Picante Sauce ... You mean your salsa is made in New York City? Get a rope!

Have an impacted tooth. You can’t see a dentist. You have to wait till you have septics and go to an ER. But let’s not close abortion clinics.

Why does Letitia James want to ensure the deaths of many more little black and brown babies? Why does the black community tolerate this?

Letitia, take your carpet back and go back to New York. We met your kind in the 1870s, and we did not like it then, and we do not like it now.

Letitia James, NY AG telling Texas what to do is like Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, telling the Senate what to do. What either has to say from their position of power has no bearing on the other place they want to control... they are powerless there. "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is a well-known phrase in the United States Declaration of Independence. The phrase gives three examples of the "unalienable rights" which the Declaration says have been given to all humans by their creator, and which governments are created to protect. I doubt that these rights apply to murdering unborn children. Anyway, abortion is not women's health. It is an elective surgical procedure used as birth control by people who (99.99999% of the time) did not bother to use another readily available method that does not involve killing a baby.

Let's see now. Most states have cancelled normal elective surgeries during this crisis, but we are not to cancel infanticide? And please tell us again Letitia where in the constitution it says you are free to kill unborn babies?
Abbott and Lt. Gov Patrick are tough as nails Texans. I hope they go scorched earth on that stupid NY'er, for she deserves it. She has been in the forefront of abandoning legal remedies since she got elected. I pity the poor residents of NY, I really do.

we're being discouraged to go to the dentist in case something goes wrong and we need a respirator, but planned parenthood wants to go on sticking knives up inside people? Let's have a discussion about the number of medical emergencies that come out of abortion clinics. This would be the time.

What a stupid ditz. The Constitution gives zero specific rights to women. If anybody had tried to legalize murder in our country back in the eighteenth century he would have been hanged himself. If you really want to kill your kid you have a lifetime to do it. Just buy him a Mustang GT for his sixteenth birthday.

Abortion is enshrined in the Constitution, the same way slavery was enshrined in the Constitution. Until a smarter bunch of SC Justices said it wasn't.
We are slowly but surely getting that smarter group of SC Justices.

Who is this "we," heifer??? Where do you get off telling a state clear across the country from your little socialist paradise how to run things?? Got news for you, Toots. NO ONE gave you that right, NO ONE voted you that power, and certainly NO ONE in Texas is interested in what you will or will not "allow!!!"

"...... and I will not allow any state to usurp the rights of women enshrined in the Constitution.” unless they are rights enshrined for all in Amendments 1 and 2 of the Bill of Rights, or Article VI Part 3 through the pro abortion litmus test.
