The Moralizing Cuomo Brothers

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 3/26/2020 4:30:04 AM

Turn on the TV these days and you are bound to catch one of the Cuomo brothers inveighing against the “selfish.” Chris Cuomo on CNN harangues any one who dares suggest that America restart its economy, while Andrew Cuomo delivers lectures on the importance of staying home lest one expose the elderly to illness. Both brothers have inherited their father’s penchant for high and moralistic rhetoric. They have also inherited his incoherent moral philosophy. Mario Cuomo was given to flowery denunciations on many subjects, but not abortion. There he would fall silent and simply say that he is “personally opposed” to it.

Earlier this week when Cuomo was talking about how elderly people, especially his elderly family members, are not expendable, his past words and NY legislation banning any restrictions on abortion came to mind, and I posted a comment about the irony and actually the hypocrisy of the verbose governor. pompously stating that no life is expendable. Too bad he couldn't have had an epiphany and acknowledge the priceless value of all human lives, beginning with the obvious beginning, babies in the womb. Neumayr reminded me of the edict to shine pink lights to celebrate of no limitations on abortion. Screaming with joy, those women surrounding him as they celebrated the right to kill their babies, even as they began their entry into this world, they ascend the ladder of success on the corpses of the tiny, fragile remnants of their babies. That's the stark reality, and no amount of pink lights can wash out the gore of that reality. I had forgotten that macabre Cuomo, and had been appreciating his daily measured (way too lengthy) presentations, until he stepped up on the moral high ground pontificating about no life being expendable. Wait a sec, I said to myself, he's the no-limits on abortion advocate... A couple of days earlier he had posted on his little message board that the USA was great. Wait a sec again! My husband exclaimed, Cuomo was the guy who nastily proclaimed that America never was great. yes, he's THAT guy. He's a two-faced, duplicitous, lying, arrogant hypocrite.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing this morning on Fox Business News, but Maria & Dagen were gushing over the Cuomo bros and how they were devoted to New Yorkers. They actually got kind giggly at one point. I left Fox News years ago for FBN to avoid this kind of political drivel'n'drool. Maria, I love you, but don't ever suggest every New Yorker appreciates the Cuomos.

There's a reason why Chris Cuomo is referred to as Fredo --- the dopey son in The Godfather book & movie --- as that moniker is well earned. I can just hear him screaming: "Why didn't Dad pick me? I'm smart!" But all of that doesn't translate into Andy becoming Michael, the real brains of the Mafia family. Instead he's much more like hot-headed Sonny who can't think straight. Andrew Cuomo became the 56th governor of New York way back in January, 2011. That's more than 9 long years ago! If NY is unprepared for a medical emergency of any kind, well then, Andy, look no further than in the mirror you big dummy. And since when does the Federal government have to respond to NY state's internal issues? Here's some simple math Andy old boy: If --- God forbid --- 100,000 Americans need ventilators because of this Chinese flu and 40,000 of them live in NY, that means 40% of the Federal reserved stockpile might go to NY. Not all 100,000 just because you're screaming like a baby. What about the other 49 states that hold the other 60,000 victims? They should get their proportionate amount from the Feds too. It's only fair. And NY can afford to buy its own while Alabama and Mississippi maybe not so much. As you buddy Karl Marx would say: "To each according to their needs and from each according to their means." So shut your pie hole!

Has anyone asked Mr. Kill-Em-In-The-Birth-Canal why his state has the highest rate of Chinese flu? Like Little 0bie - - he's great at sitting back and pompously moralizing - - but he never takes responsibility for the consequences of his actions - - nor is he ever asked to. It's great to be a leftist - - constantly look down on everyone else - - but never roll up your sleeves and accomplish something.

Andrew Cuomo even took political advantage by bringing two of his adult daughters on his grandstanding sessions to introduce them to the nation, advising the nation that their surnames are Kennedy-Cuomo. That point surely gave hope to New Yorkers who are on their last legs struggling with the Chinese corona virus.

The information needs to get out far and wide that instead of buying 16K ventilators for NY hospitals a couple years ago or so, he spent that Fed money on ILLEGALS and their needs instead. Never forget that Sonny and Fredo Cuomo are two of the biggest morons of the democrat party. I suspect that governor Sonny's record is being whitewashed right now, because he is most likely the dark horse who is going to replace Biden as the sacrificial goat against Trump. I wonder if Trump would drop the missing funds bomb on Cuomo's head from when he was in the Clinton cabinet back in the day?

Andrew Cuomo lectures us to wash our hands and practice social distancing so his elderly mother can survive this COVID 19 crisis, yet he is a proponent and advocate for the euthanizing of unborn children in their mother's wombs. Perhaps the governor should look up the word, Karma!

Goodbye, Green New Deal 17 replies

What will happen next with the coronavirus epidemic is unknown, but it seems certain to claim one very high-profile victim: the so-called Green New Deal. Good riddance. The current crisis in the U.S. economy is, in miniature but concentrated form, precisely what the Left has in mind in response to climate change: shutting down large sectors of the domestic and global economies through official writ, social pressure, and indirect means, in response to a crisis with potentially devastating and wide-ranging consequences for human life and human flourishing. What is under way right now in response to the epidemic is in substance much like the Green New Deal

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Renewable energy is getting so cheap that it doesn’t need subsidies anymore. Yes, well. Renewables live or die by subsidies, in fact. That was proved yet again this week, when Democrats tried (unsuccessfully) to stuff a panoply of Green New Deal measures into the corona-crisis relief bill — including extensions of the tax credits that have been driving the growth of solar and wind energy. That Congressional Democrats would push so hard for solar and wind subsidies at such a critical time for the US economy is particularly galling for two reasons. First, the wind industry already stands to collect some $33.75 billion in subsidies

Clinton took the latest developments as an opportunity to knock her former 2016 rival on Twitter. Whatever you think about President Trump and his response to this global pandemic that sparked from a Chinese “wet market” selling wildlife, you cannot exactly be heartened to behold the response offered by Democrats. The party’s presumed nominee, former Vice President Joseph R. A piece published in The Atlantic made the argument this week that the "idea" of former Vice President Joe Biden is enough to defeat President Trump in November and that in order to do so, Biden would simply have to "stay alive." "Democrats need little from the front-runner beyond his corporeal presence," Atlantic contributing writer Alex Wagner wrote on Tuesday in a piece titled "Stay Alive, Joe Biden." Wagner suggested that Democratic voters are so eager to oust Trump that Biden's ongoing campaign has less weight than his decades-old familiarity.
