Three cheers for President Trump’s success in forcing a federal bureaucracy that normally moves at the speed of a glacier to begin working at “Trump Speed.”From the day he announced he was running, Trump’s critics have assailed him with all manner of claims that he was unfit to be President. Their real reason for inventing so many lies was that he wasn’t like them because he was a CEO instead of a bureaucrat. He had built a business empire and become wealthy by setting objectives, giving orders to his trusted staff, and holding people accountable for delivering results in a timely and effective manner.

"... holding people accountable for delivering results ..."
This is something that is sorely needed in the swamp. There seems to be no consequences for failure. Even a government psychologist will agree that without consequences, sometimes severe consequences there will be change in behavior.
I recently heard Rush make the distinction that Trump was a result oriented guy and bureaucracies are 'process' oriented. This article also makes that distinction about the Federal bureaucracy and does it very clearly. As things stand today our government is filled with overpaid ciphers that have no interest in producing results. Instead they invest their time in the 'process' knowing that as long as they appear busy, they will have a job.

A reminder that the bureaucracies are run by people who aspired to a government job! My man Trump wants to get things accomplished in spite of the fill out the forms mentality.

After reading a lot of articles yesterday about Dr. Antonio Fauci yesterday, I have been thinking and reading more about it. I am contrasting my thoughts with the Ebola outbreak in 2014. What a difference, hah? It had everything to do with who is President. Very sad because I hold the media and Democrats liable for the panic and hysteria.
I want to make this clear. I thank President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Ben Carson and all of the staff who have been tirelessly addressing this situation. Do I think they have been played? No. This is a serious situation and they are courageously dealing with it. No wonder why Rachel Maddow wants briefings not broadcast.
Did you notice I didn't include Dr. Antonio Fauci? I thank him for his efforts but I think there is some bias on his part and it stems from the hesitation he is taking with the drug. I don't remember any of this hesitation with the Ebola outbreak. As a matter of fact, in 2014, this could have had the same effect on America but the media was shut down right away and the drug that was effective for Ebola seemed to go through all channels quite quickly. Where was all of the testing required for that drug? I actually wonder if Dr. Fauci may be part of the problem too.
Trump speed? Remember, God is bigger than all of this. I have a saying in my kitchen, "God doesn't give us what we can handle, God helps us handle what we are given." I would venture to say that President Donald Trump doesn't look at it as Trump Speed. He looks at it as God Speed!

Wailings heard from D.C.:
''You mean Trump actually wants me to push more than ONE piece of paper across my desk PER DAY??? Where's my union rep? Next thing you know he'll want to stop us from watching porn on our computers all day! This guy HAS to go!''

Yes. At one of the news conferences I heard someone, probably an FDA official, babble on about clinical trials. I thought "WHY?". The drug, chloroquine, has been around and in use since 1934. It is reasonably safe with some possible side effects of long term use. Use with the Chinese virus would probably last a couple weeks. Manufacturers of the drug are offering lots of it for FREE. Try it on patients showing symptoms and within a couple weeks we should know if it is effective. Also try it on a group of people who have been exposed and test positive. If none develop symptoms, we have a preventative. You could then make it available for all healthcare workers, especially in hotspots. This could halt the virus in its tracks. Yet the bureaucrat was focused on "trials". This is the same type of issue as when the security groups had a fit over Trump's Ukraine phone call. He stepped outside of their procedure, even though the president is not bound by it.
Even in an emergency, government bureaucrats cannot change their plodding thinking. This is a blatant example why the bureaucracy should NOT be in charge.

FTA, the last paragraph - "Such results show the measure of the man leading our nation’s efforts to battle and defeat the Wuhan virus. So we should be thankful in this trying time that we have a fast-moving CEO as President instead of a snail-speed bureaucrat."
Nothing else need be said. Other than to express my continued disgust for China for having let this terrible crisis happen, the dims, and msm.
May God continue to protect the President of the United States and his family.

During the debacle of the wasted impeachment inquisition, one day, President Trump was addressing a presser and said, “We’re running out of time.” As I thought more about it, he was right.
The Dems are constantly putting up roadblocks and we have to remove them or plow on ahead of them.
Nice to have a clear-headed conductor than a caboose loaded with sludge going nowhere. BTW, are they still using 3” floppy discs in their offices?

In a perfect world Trump would provide incentives to move all critical manufacturing back to the US. Anything that an enemy...China...could use to hurt us needs to be in America. Provide tax breaks, etc to the companies that move back and disincentives to those who refuse. Use the shortfall in "revenue" to our bloated government to reduce the size and reach of these bureaucratic agencies that are redundant and certainly unnecessary on their best days.

It is becoming very, very clear that there will need to be a massive rework of the FDA. Perhaps not the correct time to replace people right now, don't want to roil the waters too much. But when this is at least somewhat behind us, Trump needs to find someone to take charge of FDA and go through it with a scythe.

RE #9:
No, they're still using 5.25" floppy discs. Using the 3.5" discs would be considered and "nonessential upgrade!!"

And yet today's media montage is that Trump isn't moving fast enough and he came too late to the realization that this was a serious situation. What crap. The get Trump mob continues and consequences of causing this stampede and panic be dammed.

Just a short rant here. My husband has worked for the Department of Defense asa program director since 2003. He is 62 and has decided to retire. We paid back his 4 years of military time in 2017 to give him over 20 years service for retirement. He was scheduled to retire on 3/31. We found out last Monday that he needs a WRITTEN receipt of the 2017 payment which they do not automatically send. We have a copy of the certified check but that isn't good enough. They told him to put in a new retirement date of May 31 to allow time. In the meantime, we sold our home and bought a new one 5 hours away and he is living in our 22' RV on the base park. To top it off, once we get the needed paperwork, DFAS will send his packet to OPM (Office of Personnel Management) whose director quit on Friday. They are the ones who actually turn on the spicket for retirement.

Never speed up going in the wrong direction. Sending checks to everybody making under 75k, regardless of any virus impact, trillions going out the door, dollars and pork thrown in all directions, seems to be the wrong direction.

After nearly four years of being attacked daily, I see the President looking worn out. He and his family need our prayers. Everybody needs to step back and chill out; especially reporters.
