PERSPECTIVE; over 20,000 Americans died this flu season from the 1918 flu strain; over thirty million Americans got the flu from the 1918 flu strain. Most were elderly or those with heart and/or lung disease. in 2018, over 60,000 Americans died from the 1918 flu strain. The Wuhan flu is killing mostly the elderly and people with heart or lung disease just like the 1918 strain of the flu. Something or a bunch of someone's have created a hoax with a real and new flu strain. Common sense, perspective, reality, reason, science, truth and facts are completely ignored in all of this. Politics, fear, exceedingly great deception, panic is now the order of the day throughout the globe. For some OTHER reason, governments want us to stay in our homes for weeks, claiming it's because of a flu that is so far is more contagious, yet no more dangerous than the 1918 flu strain. Governments are closing down huge percentages of economies over a new flu that is no more dangerous than the present 1918 flu strains. Why? I maintain most governments are using Alinsky's Rules for Radicals number 9, "make the thing much more terrifying than the thing itself." Again, why?

The local weenies-in-charge declared some sort of nebulous "shelter in place" thing yesterday. I live behind enemy lines, as many of us do these days. So of course I went driving around, looking around. I "needed some stuff" and I have the First Amendment on my side anyway -- "The right of the people peaceably to assemble, etc." -- so there's that. Stopped by Smart and Final for a look-see and several aisles resembled Venezuela or Moscow; chatted with a guy who looked a little like me but with reasonable hair... Me: "None of this is necessary, you know." He: "That's right. If people would calm the eff down this wouldn't be happening." That's exactly what he said [except for the "eff."]. Chatted with the checkout girl for a few minutes. She's fed up too. I refuse to be a fool. I refuse to capitulate under false duress. Can't do it. I won't. My dad fought in the Pacific during WWII for reasons we all once considered valuable and essential. This current nonsense would've enraged him. He would be right about that.
