The liberals are a joke these days. Especially those who were in the Obama Administration, including Joseph Biden who are now blaming the Trump Administration for not having 350 million quality and effective medical diagnostic kits readily available to test everyone in the country for the novel corona virus that emerged from China a few weeks ago and was unknown to exist before that. Clearly the liberals are living in a dream world if they think that 350 million effective medical diagnostic test kits to test the entire US population for the corona virus could be developed, manufactured, and distributed around the USA within a few weeks. Those Obama Administration functionaries, including Joseph Biden were in office for eight years and should be asked why in all that time they did not ensure before they left office that the 350 million diagnostic test kits had been manufactured, refrigerated, and stocked ready for use during a future pandemic? Clearly instead of doing that, the Obama Administration brought in a host of “red tape” federal regulations that severely limited the number of medical laboratories that could process such diagnostic tests, regulations that have now been thrown out by the Trump Administration as they go about setting up new testing protocols.

Sell NPR and the TV version, PBS. Announce that the proceeds will be used to fund Coronavirus programs to help the elderly or similar so that the leftists who control both lose their undeserved high ground. Fighting the Wuhan Coronavirus is costing a fotune ($58 billion committed just today), so asset sales can help this unexpected federal spending.

Yamiche Alcindor is one of the few individuals generating an instantaneous channel-change in this household. This 30ish young woman appears smug and self-satisfied when criticizing President Trump. Judy Woodruff has made her a welcome part of the PBS NewsHour. FTA: (Amiche) “You say you don’t take responsibility but you did disband the White House pandemic office and the officials that were working in that office left this administration abruptly so what responsibility do you take to that and the officials that worked in office said the White House lost valuable time because it was disbanded. What do you think of that?” If Yamiche had any sense of decency and fair play, she could have asked the question of President Trump in a truthful manner; it was John Bolton who, in 2018, disbanded the Pandemic Office during a reorganization of the council in his position at the time of National Security Advisor. Further, “the 2018 reductions in CDC efforts ... were the result of the anticipated depletion of previously allotted funding, not a direct cut by the Trump administration.”

I watched the whole news conference and thought the President and everyone behind him did a wonderful job. They were all committed to do what they could to provide assistance in the best way possible. I love that the President gives these people time to speak and they all did a marvelous job of explaining what they were tasked to do. The President is very impressive when he brings government and the private sector together to work out solutions. However, I knew the media was just itching to get at him. Their animosity is palpable and they never disappoint in that regard. The President was gracious and this gal needed to be admonished. Here we are in the midst of a crisis and all she can do is throw stones at this President which is typical for these witless vultures. I am in agreement with those who say that NPR should be defunded. Just like Planned Parenthood, taxpayers should not have to support this far left organization. It galls me to think that these organizations are more than able to fund themselves through the donations of their supporters but they want to use tax payer money just to stick it to the people who vehemently oppose their organizations. Defund them now. Taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize organizations that can clearly support themselves and if they can’t let them fail. We have no obligation to spread the leftist agenda with taxpayer money.

How nervous are some Democrats about Joe Biden's chances against President Trump this November? Nervous enough to entertain the notion that another Democrat, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, might swoop in and save the day. Cuomo, who has been governor for nearly a decade and has one of the most famous names in Democratic politics, found new prominence when his state became the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis in the United States. In February and March, some New York officials urged the public to maintain regular activities even as the virus took hold in the state, leading to the worst outbreak in the country.

Gov. Cuomo for veep? Well, never say never — but it’s unlikely. Yes, the governor is up to his neck in five-star reviews for his management of the coronavirus crisis. His TV presence radiates calm competence. Clearly, he has gotten the poetry of governance in a maelstrom right; whether he is on top of the prose of it remains to be seen, but it certainly seems so. And of such stuff are political superstars born. So it’s no surprise that people are talking him up as a potential partner to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. If ever a candidacy needed a belt of Red Bull, it’s Biden’s.
