So, how can we spin President Trump calling for prayer to make him evil, misogynistic, homophobic, and racist?

#1 Wait until the "If there is a God then why does He let (Insert bad thing) happen?" crowd gets hold of the news.
Thank God that Trump is humble enough to call upon Him for help. For the first time in my life I am reading that churches are closed and no Masses (my preferred faith) will be celebrated this weekend. Imagine no place to go in a crisis. I know all the reasoning behind it, but it seems cowardly anyway. Maybe because it feels like a glimpse at a future of Socialist society? I just hope this insanity ends soon.

Once again I am humbled and grateful to my almighty Father for his gracious mercy. It is a a mighty privalige to join in a day of prayer with my brothers and sisters. May our father's will be done in all things. Together we kneel as one family on Sunday. Is there an eastern standard time so that we are as one?

In earlier times plagues were spread in churches, even recently happened in South Korea, and it was a bad one.
So we'll stay away for a few weeks, no biggle, the real church is in the heart anyway.
By praying we will cleanse the spiritual atmosphere of the whole country. God did spread his Grace on we.

People afraid to go out can watch the Mass daily on EWTN at 8AM, Noon, 7 PM, and MIdnight. For those without cable, it can be seen on the EWTN web site: www.EWTN.com. Homilies are always excellent, btw.

Thankful for the President’s courage to do this in such an ungodly climate as our society is now. Praying for him as well.

No matter anyone’s politics, a National Day of Prayer will not hurt.

God selects heads of nations and America has been blessed with the election of Donald Trump. (Haggai 2:20-23; 1 Chronicles 14:2; Daniel 2:21, 4:17; Romans 13:1-2; Revelation 1:4-5). President Trump’s faith is a quiet part of his life as he is expressing with his call for a National Day of Prayer. Lest anyone forget: “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) As we pray for our country, may we pray for the guidance and safety of President Trump and his family. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

#7 - I love EWTN. What a gift from God; a world-wide Catholic network during this time of rampant evil and the rise of stealth communism. I had a long surgical recovery several years back and it was wonderful to be able to watch Mass and "participate at home", as we used to say. I live near (17 miles) from a back-water town of 5,000. Our parish is very small, only 150 families. We're still open. We held Stations of the Cross tonight, with increased attendance. Usually we have between 10-15, tonight there were 25. We are no longer holding hands for the Our Father, we smile and wave at the Sign of Peace, Communion Cup service is suspended and Hosts only the hand. We have suspended our Home Communion ministry. We did postpone our Lenten parish retreat Saturday, as it was all-day with 50 people. I am very grateful to live in an isolated area.
I believe President Trump is God's answer to the millions of patriot prayers offered during the Dark Years of Obamanation. He is a man of God and his growth in faith has been visible over the last four years. We often wonder how the President has been able to absorb/deflect the arrows slung at him every second of the day. It is because he is a man who has been tried in the furnace fire of faith, knows God, loves God and is serving God on behalf of his people. He is leading our nation into the Light with foresight, wisdom and love of country.
Let the hyenas scratch and howl. God is at work in the world and Trump is His builder.

In I Timothy 2:2 we are asked to pray for those in authority so that we may live peaceful lives. It is a double benefit for all. First for him who prays and then for those prayed for.

Thank you, President Trump; wisdom tells us that the best thing to do is always first go to the One who has all power and control over us and the world.
I have no doubt He will turn this temporary problem into good for us..... and since we know He has a sense if humor I'm also certain in whatever way He chooses to manage this virus the outcome will not end well for the Dem's tenuous hold on sanity.
The wicked always seem to fall into the snares they set for the righteous. This will be no different.
Thank You Lord for giving us this President.
