Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden on Thursday unveiled a proposal to combat the escalating coronavirus outbreak, saying President Trump has fallen short on the effort and that the American people have doubts about the current administration’s plans. Mr. Biden said testing for the virus should be available to anyone free of charge and that the White House should provide daily updates on how many tests have been ordered and completed.

Biden gave a very political, very partisan speech, riddled with errors, then hustled himself off the stage, pronto! No questions...

A phony "solution" offered by a senile, toothless and despicable fool for political gain.
There are two ways of thinking about this crisis. Either discount it as a somewhat more severe winter flu, as many of my beloved rightwing compatriots are doing mistakenly, or as a full-blown unique war. Reluctantly, I conclude the latter is correct.
"Testing" everybody is meaningless and a waste of money and time. What's needed are fast wartime measures to "flatten the curve" before this highly infectious disease spreads and hospitals are overwhelmed. Look at Italy.
Gutless Democrat mayors like Bill DiBlasio denounce Orange Man, but refuse to take the brutal, short-term steps needed. New York's subways, a Petri dish for transmission of COVD-19 have been struck twice in my lifetime. Lots of inconvenience, but the city survived. Pothead Bill should stop blathering about "tests" and shut the subway.
Non-symptomatic youngsters will innocently spread this disease like so many Typhoid Maries. Schools should be shut for a few weeks -- we can always extend the school year into the summer.
I know conservatives think this all smacks of Big Brother, but wartime is different than peacetime. Forget the braying of hyenas like Schumer and Biden about "testing." A short-term, bitter bout of social isolation, dispersing population concentrations (i.e. crowds) as much as humanly possible is necessary. If we stretch out infections over time, until we hit summer, we can beat this thing. If not, we're f***ed.

All I'm hearing is Charlie Brown's mother, Joe. That's not a plan. That's a handful of political talking points. What the ???? does "surge hospital capacity" mean? And involving the DOJ is utter foolishness. Does he think retailers are "price gouging" on paper towels and hand sanitizer???

Joe Biden in a very Monday morning quarterbacking and partisan political speech given by him reading off a TelePrompTer and taking no questions, mostly reiterated what the US Government is already doing to try to stem the coronavirus while falsely claiming that those efforts are in accordance with his plan.
Biden then went on throwing money at the crisis by demanding that huge amounts of federal money be given both to local governments, most of them run by liberal Democrats, along with foreign governments. Biden said that solving this public health crisis should be left to medical scientists not politicians. A brilliant idea that is already being followed by the Trump Administration. In that respect Biden should be questioned why the mostly liberal media that has been asking as many politicians as possible what they think should be done about the coronavirus, then comparing their mostly not authoritative answers, and create controversy by insinuating that some of the politicians differing answers were wrong. Biden also seemed to compare the current public health emergency with the Ebola crisis that was wholly contained in a small area of Central Africa years ago where there was no international spread. It would be an extreme example of “Fool’s Gold” to believe that Biden with his declining cognitive abilities, that are bound to be worse by next January, will have any credence in doing better than the current task force made up of very prominent medical professionals and the Trump Administration are doing to deal with this crisis. Over two months ago nobody heard of the existence of this particular strain of the corona virus that started in China, so the USA and the other countries of the world find themselves today in a changing dynamic situation by the day with little hope of developing an effective and safe vaccine for about a year. Bottom line follow the instructions of public health authorities, and not partisan politicians and their media allies, who are trying to through controversy to create panic to gain political advantage.

Since Joe is always bloviating about the accomplishments of he and His good buddy Barack, I wouldn’t have been surprised if said “If you like your Coronavirus you can keep your Coronavirus.” . Of course we all know that’s not true given some of our experiences with keeping doctors.
