Understand symptoms present themselves within 9-10 days, so if he's 11 days out, really this is fake news...

Gaetz has the look and intellect of a TV evangelist and none of the charm. Of course, the gas mask was strictly showboating.

Look, I think the news media is guilty of obscene scare-mongering, but I would be a little careful to be so publicly mocking people who are concerned. Do it in private, when you know there are no cameras or traitors around if you must, but be a leader and reasonably explain to people why fear is more deadly than the virus. You’re not gaining supporters like that. And you set yourself up to be mocked. Why paint a target?

Tuesday during MSNBC’s primary coverage, Democratic strategist James Carville said it was time to end the Democratic presidential primary by having Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) exit the race.Carville said, “We can’t ditch these Democratic voters who are coming out saying, let’s get on with this thing. Our mission is to defeat Donald Trump. There’s a 99 [percent] chance that Vice President Biden is going on the nominee. Let’s shut this puppy down, and let’s move on and worry about November. This thing is decided. There’s no reason to keep it going, not even a day longer.”He continued, “It’s the Democratic voters that made this decision.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) is suggesting the Democratic National Committee (DNC) “step in” and cancel the remaining presidential primaries and debates if it appears Joe Biden is favored to win the nomination. Clyburn, who was instrumental in helping the former vice president revive his campaign with a win in the South Carolina primary, floated the idea during an interview with NPR. The majority whip, in particular, argued that if Biden were to best Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Michigan and a number of the other states holding their primaries on Tuesday, then the race was over and the DNC should intercede.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is projected to win the all-important Michigan primary, according to Fox News and the Associated Press, likely dealing a killer blow to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) hopes of winning the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. Biden was slated to win the Michigan primary, according to a poll released Monday, which put him nearly two dozen points ahead of Vermont socialist Sanders, but Michigan polls have proven incorrect before. Back in 2016, then-frontrunner Hillary Clinton was projected to win the same primary by a cool 20 points but

The attacks at Tuesday’s confirmation hearing for President Trump’s FEC nominee, Trey Trainor, are a reminder that some people can never be satisfied.Since September, campaign finance “reform” groups have been screaming that democracy is in peril. The Federal Election Commission lost its quorum that month with the resignation of Republican commissioner Matt Petersen. Only three commissioners, two Democratic appointees and one Republican, remain at the six-member agency, which is structured to have three Republicans and three Democrats. All three still serving are “holdover” commissioners, meaning that their statutory terms have expired,

The state-run Islamic Republic News Agency, or IRNA, reported Tuesday that 44 people had died from alcohol poisoning in the country after they "drank bootleg alcohol over rumors that it would be effective in treating coronavirus.” But the semi-independent Mehr News Agency reported a lower figure – at least 27 people dying in Iran from alcohol poisoning amid the coronavirus scare. Don’t panic, but do be afraid enough to be very, very cautious. The novel coronavirus epidemic almost certainly will get a lot worse before it ever gets “contained.” That’s my key takeaway from an interview Monday evening with John M. Barry’s research is so well-respected that he was appointed to the federal government’s official Board of Experts on Infectious Disease, and he now serves on the faculty of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Everyone remembers how Starbucks responded to allegations of systemic racism by closing down for a whole day of penance (which meant company-wide sensitivity training) followed by the decision that they would open all their locations—and most especially their bathrooms—to anyone without requiring a product purchase. In other words, it was the equivalent of putting out signs saying, “Loitering Welcome Here.” As they say on the Interwebs, you’ll never guess what happened next! Actually, you don’t need to guess, but in case you’re curious, we have some social science on the question, in the form of a paper from two researchers at Boston College and one at the University of Texas,

It’s clear that the Democrats see the coronavirus outbreak as an opportunity rather than an epidemic. Having failed to bring down President Trump with ridiculous conspiracy theories involving Russia and Ukraine, they are desperately attempting to convince the public he is somehow exacerbating the COVID-19 crisis. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, for example, issued a joint press release Sunday that included the following fiction: “President Trump continues to manufacture needless chaos within his administration and it is hampering the government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.” Predictably, Pelosi and Schumer fail to provide any objective facts to support this claim.
