Pazarkule border crossing near Edirne, Turkey—Several migrants attempting to cross from Turkey to Greece told CNN over the past week that Greek security forces took their documents, money, phones and clothes before sending them back to Turkey in their underwear. CNN has obtained a video showing men in their underpants arriving back on Turkish soil, allegedly sent back through Evros River, with no clothes by Greek security forces. The river, known as Meriç in Turkey, forms the natural border between both countries.(Snip) CNN has spoken to several men from Syria, Afghanistan, Morocco and Pakistan who said they experienced this violent and degrading treatment

Comments:

Bravo. Word gets out and "migration" stops at minimal cost. Want humanitarian? Return these able-bodied, adventurous men to Syria, Afghanistan, Morocco, and Pakistan and let them straighten things out on behalf of their own people.

Didn't I read that there was a Christian church on the island of Lesvos that was entered into by a mob of Muslims who trashed that sacred place from top to toe? Did CNN run any stories about that incident, which is duplicated every day throughout the world? Getting stripped down to one's underwear is in no way comparable; unless you have no respect for someone else's religion. Then it is a capital offense. Of course, I have not watched CNN for about eight years, so maybe they did run a story about the sacrilege of trashing a place of Christian worship.

A coronavirus patient in his 50s went bar hopping to intentionally 'spread the virus' in Japan before Hazmat-clad police took him to hospital. The man tested positive for the disease—which has killed more than 3,500 with at least 100,000 diagnoses worldwide—but he showed no symptoms in Gamagori City. He was sent home by medics and was told to self-isolate before being taken to hospital. But the man—whose parents both were diagnosed with coronavirus—ignored advice and told a relative he was 'going to spread the virus' before taking a taxi to a bar. He left the first bar and went to

Ruth Bader Ginsburg dismantled a controversial Louisiana abortion bill during an hour of arguments at the US Supreme Court this week, systematically striking down components of the law she previously opposed during a preliminary vote. The 86-year-old Supreme Court justice, who recently returned to the nation’s highest court after announcing she was cancer-free in January, seemed to aggressively push back against demands from lawyers representing the Trump administration and state of Louisiana to approve the legislation during Wednesday’s arguments. Louisiana’s Act 620 would require abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of its facilities, in the event

ICE announced Friday that it had defied a California sanctuary law and arrested a repeat-felon illegal immigrant outside of San Francisco’s Hall of Justice this week, prompting angry denunciations from local officials. The arrest is the latest escalation between the Trump administration and California over immigration enforcement, with the feds pushing back hard on the state’s sanctuary policies through lawsuits, subpoenas, and now flouting the state’s own laws. ICE said it had tried eight times to get local authorities to turn over the man, who was not identified by name, but each time those “detainer” requests were rebuffed. So they tracked him down

The Trump administration finalized a new policy Friday that paves the way for Homeland Security to collect DNA from all illegal immigrants the department arrests, fulfilling the terms of a 2005 law that the government has been evading for years. Under the new rules, posted online Friday and slated to be published in the Federal Register next week, Attorney General William P. Barr can cancel an Obama-era waiver and order collection of DNA by agents and officers in both U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Election officials in the Houston area were forced to send in additional voting machines as thousands of people reportedly waited for up to five hours to vote at one station. The long waits came after the closure of hundreds of polling stations across Texas by the Republican-led state government since 2012. MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow suggested voting difficulties had been caused in part by the “systematic” closing of stations in areas with high turnout for minority

However, the agents quickly closed the cases, concluding the suspects were not threats to national security, according to the Justice Department inspector general. Bill being Bill, there will be no real apology coming, just some typical and expected minimizing. “But whatever,” he says. “What I did was bad, but it wasn’t like — how can I think about the most stupid thing I could do and do it.” This is from a new documentary on Hillary, a for-hire job meant to canonize her and the would-be Clinton dynasty. With Joe Biden regaining his position as the Democratic front runner, the scrutiny of him by the right has renewed. When Biden looked like the helpless, distant finisher he was a few weeks ago, it wasn’t worth the energy. Things have changed in a hurry, though. While Biden may represent a larger threat to Trump in a general election, he’s still a ripe target for political ridicule and the sights are starting to turn on one specific thing. Namely, the former Vice President’s mental health.

Except I don’t believe in magic – or coincidence, for that matter – when it comes to politics. Everything happens for a reason and, in the case of Democrats in particular, for personal or party gain (or both). Democrat operatives have been bleating the conventional wisdom throughout the Democrat-media echo chamber that Biden has “pulled off one of the most spectacular turn-arounds in presidential primary history,”

All the more so because Joe Biden is the clear front-runner and the dreaded Bernie Sanders looks to be fading. So it’s all set. Biden will be the nominee and give the party a solid chance of scoring a November trifecta: beating President Trump, taking the Senate and holding the House. Count me as skeptical. Instead of a smooth ride, it’s more likely that the Dems’ desperate search for a Trump slayer will hit more turbulence and an alternative to Biden still could be necessary.
