The FBI missed opportunities to stop domestic terrorists from killing Americans because field offices failed to further investigate individuals who had been labeled homegrown violent extremists, the Justice Department watchdog said in a scathing report released Wednesday. At least six terrorists who later carried out attacks killing a total of 70 people were on the FBI’s radar prior to the attacks. However, the agents quickly closed the cases, concluding the suspects were not threats to national security, according to the Justice Department inspector general. Among the more high-profile individuals the FBI failed to recognize as a potential source of terrorism were Omar Mateen, who killed 49

Most of us tend to give much credit and appreciated for those carrying a badge or wearing a uniform of the United States...and in most cases that credit is warranted. But being in those jobs in one respect is like being in all others. Out of a hundred doctors, some are in the bottom ten percent. Out of a hundred electricians, some are in the bottom ten percent. Out of a hundred McDonald's workers, some are in the bottom of the ten percent. It holds true then, I think, that out of a hundred FBI people, some, unfortunately are in the bottom ten percent. Like in any other business, so people simply are more committed to excellence than others.

Unfortunately in the wisdom of federal bureaucracy, the bottom ten percent tend to be promoted to the top ten percent. Can't fire them, so just move them up, instead of out. Mediocrity seems to be an asset.

Under the Obama Administration, they actively erased files on potential domestic threats. That whistleblower, who recently died, was forced to eliminate some 800 files he was investigating, and the orders came from O's White House.
'No follow up' is such a convenient phrase. It's hard to follow up if your boss made you throw away your research.

“Lapses by FBI agents included failing to investigate Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the individuals who carried out the 2013 Boston Marathon terror attack, even after he was flagged by an internal bureau database. Instead, the probe was closed and Tsarnaev was determined to “have no nexus to terrorism,” according to the report.”
The Russian government warned us twice about the terror risks of the Tsarnaev brothers yet the FBI could find nothing suspicious even though: the brothers were members of a radical Islamic mosque in Boston; the elder brother, in the US on an asylum permit, flew to/from the country he fled for 6 months of terror training; he flew even though he was on the TSA’s Do Not Fly list; the TSA blamed a misspelling of his name for its mistake; and the TSA explained that it had over 100 more suspects the day of Tsaraev’s flight out of JFK, so they allowed him on board; and the FBI, when questioning a known associate of Tsarnaev, shot and killed him during the investigation by claiming he jumped over the table at the agents. And as far as one can tell, little has changed in the FBI’s policies and procedures.
All this happened in 2013, just 3 years before FBI senior officials launched their spying campaign on then candidate Trump using a fake, Russian provided dossier.

Next time you call the FBI about a suspected Muslim terrorist, tell them they are connected to the Trump campaign. They'll move it to the top of the list.

when Herr Mueller became FBI Director in 2001, just prior to the 9/11 attacks, he had fbi training materials which addressed muslim extremism, purged from all training materials. that act, as bad as it was, was consistent with George w. Bush, just two days after 9/11/01, telling us that Islam was the religion of peace.
Bush was naive, but Herr Mueller was evil.

Mr. Haney, who recently committed "Arkancide", was forced to delete all of the information he had on Islamic Terrorists in this country. This was forced by the Obama administration. He was about to come out with a tell all book. Now, unfortunately, he is gone. I hope he shared his information with someone.

The FBI could find nothing suspicious about these muslim terrorists because the obama administration ordered Philip Haney, an expert on islamic terrorism, to destroy all his files in their databases. He was recently found dead of a gunshot wound to the chest. An unusual way to commit suicide...
Obama destroyed our ability to fight islamic terrorism, and the FBI stopped looking at islamic terrorists and instead concentrated on the threat of "right-wing extremists." They used the Muslim Brotherhood and the SPLC as sources of information. They raided the home of a whistleblower who was in possession of documents regarding the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One, rather than investigate the Clintons.
If there is any justice left in America, those responsible, such as Mueller, Brennan and Obama will be charged with treason and strung up.

Another thing that Herr Mueller did during his reign of terror was to insist that anyone wanting to move up in the FBI ranks had to spend time in the DC Swamp/HQ. I'm sure it was to train them in the ways of the dark side of the swamp. Many of the good agents decided to retire than to deal with the DC politics.

I think they did it on purpose so the left could push the gun control (and eventual ban) issue. It's too easy to say they are simply incompetent, especially considering how much they did to try to get rid of our President.

I'm sure this happened during Barry's reign. After all, didn't he instruct every agency to destroy all watch lists, import more of them, and to be nice to muzzies? The FBI has been corrupt and worthless ever since.

Here's an agency that actively ignores threats by imported Islamic terrorists who go on to commit "domestic terror attacks," but that actively participates in an obviously fraudulent investigation intended to overthrow our president. Sounds like a bad movie plot. Best of all, nothing ever happens after our patriotic heroes "drop the ball."
