Fugitive child rapist given
“French Oscars” best picture award

A couple of weeks ago, when I wrote about the upcoming Cesar Awards in Paris, I noted with dismay that the academy running the “French Oscars” had rewarded notorious, fugitive child rapist and pedophile Roman Polanski with a dozen nominations for his most recent film. This led to some admirable pushback from members of the European film community, particularly among women. Chief among those was Adèle Haenel, a woman who has found success in the film industry there as an actress but who has been quite vocal about the fact that she, as a child actress, had been raped by a different director when she was barely past puberty.

I have said for years that the last good Frenchman was LaFayette! Eisenhower knew too well the treachery that is in the DNA of Frenchmen...proof, de Gaulle was never told about "D" Day until the morning of the attack, Why...Ike knew de Gaulle would have given the plans to Hitler in exchange for the Premiership of France. You can look it up!

Polanski was good at what he did but unfortunately with genius often comes a huge ego and a sense of entitlement. What he did to the 13-year-old girl was despicable but acceptable to many at the time. We gave a serial rapist like Dollar Bill the presidency but Polanski was exiled so it all depends upon your connections. The exploits of Epstein and Weinstein were ignored for years and if not for the currently fashionable victims' blowback would have also been ignored.

Polanski is a disgusting, evil man. Seems to be pretty common in Hollyweird.

#1, Not all Frenchmen are unworthy of praise. A few years ago, I met three French aviators when they were graduating from USN flight school, at the winging ceremony for a relative. These were good Frenchmen and I took the opportunity after the ceremony was over to approach one of them, introduce myself and thank him for Lafayette, Rouchambeau and Grasse. And I asked if he was familiar with these men, and he smiled and assured me in good English that he had studied history and knew these men, and understood why I was thanking him. It was a good meeting. He was very proud to wear his USN aviator's gold wings in addition to his French naval wings. There are good Frenchmen.

Pressure Him To Drop Out

Anchors and reporters across numerous networks made one thing clear as Super Tuesday got underway – almost none of them want former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg to remain in the Democratic presidential race. Bloomberg, who has spent about half a billion dollars on his 2020 presidential campaign, only won American Samoa Tuesday evening. While he claimed to have garnered success in the race Tuesday evening during a speech to supporters, others did not seem to agree. NBC National politics reporter Josh Lederman started the evening off by reporting that there is “intense pressure” for the former mayor to drop out of the race.
Super Tuesday exposes an age divide, a bad

Super Tuesday results have exposed the dramatic divide among age groups in their support for Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders, which could be a bad sign for Democrats in the general election, no matter who the nominee is. Simply put: Exit polls have shown that Biden's surge is being driven by overwhelming support among older voters, while Sanders has dominated among younger voters. As an example, in Virginia, which provided Biden his first big win of the night, he did progressively better the older voters were, winning 76% of those 65 and older, compared to just 7% for Sanders. Yet despite losing the state, Sanders won 57% of voters

Sen. Elizabeth Warren suffered the indignity of being rejected by the voters that know her best - from both her home state of Massachusetts and her native Oklahoma. The most devastating blow against her dreams of becoming president came from her constituents in Massachusetts, where she was poised to finish a distant third behind former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont. She was also running well behind Mr. Biden and Mr. Sanders in Oklahoma - a state that became a central part of the story she shared about her upbringing on the campaign trail.

Chris Matthews’ retirement announcement Monday has thrown into sharp relief just how much of MSNBC’s lineup is in flux, sources say. Tuesday afternoon, Page Six exclusively reported that Shepard Smith, Steve Kornacki and Joy Reid are jostling for Matthews’ 7 p.m. weeknight slot amid a chaotic anchor reshuffling at MSNBC. Reid is said to be the favorite, while Brian Williams isn’t even in the running. (The 7 o’clock slot will no longer be called “Hardball,” as Matthews owns the name.) Former Fox News anchor Smith, who quit “Shepard Smith Reporting” in October, is plotting his return to TV

A treat for you as we get ready for election returns this evening. My instinct upon seeing a campaign publicly reject someone’s vote is to gasp and think “political malpractice.” At a minimum, it’s annoyingly arrogant. Every vote is valuable, right? At worst, it risks offending anyone who might be sympathetic to the person whose vote was rejected. But look who we’re talking about here. No one, left or right, sympathizes with Comey. He’s the guy who reopened the Emailgate probe right before the election in 2016, tilting swing voters to Trump! And the guy responsible for spearheading the Russiagate probe that embroiled the president for two years!

A Los Angeles County judge Tuesday evening denied an emergency motion filed by Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign to keep polling locations open an extra two hours in the county, in a state he is projected to easily win. LA County Registrar Dean Logan said any voters in line when polls close at 8 p.m. would get to vote, FOX LA reported. "My commitment is we will serve you tonight and make sure you have the opportunity to cast your ballot and that ballot will be included in the final returns for this election," he said.

After a third-election over the past two years in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has finally locked down a resounding victory that will successfully lead to the establishment of a coalition government. From the Jerusalem Post: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu succeeded in winning 60 seats for his bloc of right-wing and religious parties in Monday’s election, one less than he needed for a majority in the Knesset, according to exit polls on the three television networks. The exit polls indicated that Netanyahu’s Likud won 36-37 seats. Its allies in Shas, UTJ and Yamina won 9, 7-8 and 6-7 respectively.

DENVER — Trying to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list has been like prying a pack of the predators off a fat elk carcass: messy, more than a little risky and with no guarantee of success. With gray wolves thriving since their 1995 reintroduction, a dogfight is looming as the Fish and Wildlife Service and House lawmakers ramp up their efforts to delist the animals, setting up another battle over the Endangered Species Act with environmentalists. Reps. Collin C. Peterson, Minnesota Democrat, and Rob Bishop, Utah Republican, jumped back into the fray last week with legislation to end the gray wolf’s endangered species status in the Lower 48.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear another constitutional challenge to Obamacare. The court’s latest rendezvous with the “Affordable Care Act” became all but inevitable in late 2018 when U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor ruled, in Texas v. United States, that the individual mandate was unconstitutional and inseverable from the rest of the statute. The latter defect, he held, required him to strike down the entire law. The case inevitably landed in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld O’Connor’s ruling on the mandate, but remanded the severability question back to him for further “analysis.” This satisfied neither the Republicans who filed the original lawsuit nor Obamacare’s Democratic defenders.

Good luck deposing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She’s as slippery as an eel and twice as devious. She’ll figure out a way to circumvent the truth. It’s her greatest skill set. Clinton and her lawyers have spent months inventing one excuse after another for why she shouldn’t have to answer questions in a deposition about her unauthorized and unsecured computer system. She used a clandestine server to handle all of her electronic communications as secretary of state, including the transfer and dissemination of thousands of classified and top-secret documents. There is no doubt that Clinton’s unprotected email apparatus jeopardized America’s national security.

Former Bill Clinton strategist Paul Begala thinks President Trump is going to swap running mates in 2020. The CNN political analyst made the prediction during a Monday panel event at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual conference. Begala, who was a chief strategist during Clinton’s 1992 campaign, said he thinks Pence will be replaced as vice president on Trump's ticket with Nikki Haley, his former U.N. ambassador. “This is not a prediction. It’s a certainty,” Begala said. “On Thursday, July 16 — that’s the date the Democrat gives her or his acceptance address — on that day, to interrupt that narrative, Donald Trump will call a press conference at Mar-a-Lago."

Warren trailed at 22 percent, almost 100,000 votes behind Biden.(Snip for graphic)Not only did Warren lose her own state but she took third place, behind both the ostensible moderate Biden and the socialist Bernie Sanders.
