Black Lives Matter protesters say the husband of the Los Angeles County district attorney pointed a gun at them and threatened to open fire before sunrise Monday as they demanded a meeting with her at her home.
Authorities have not confirmed the activists' account regarding the events at the home of District Attorney Jackie Lacey. In a video posted by Black Lives Matter organizer Melina Abdullah, a man pointing a black handgun opens the door and says: 'Get off. Get off of my porch.'
The encounter came a day before a primary for district attorney; Lacey is seeking a third term.

Beat on my door before dawn with a mob behind you and I might meet you with a gun too.
Fact is it's more than a probability.

Trespassers , first of all .....
White people have rights too. Somehow that has gotten lost. Civil rights for whites!
And that statement is not racist!
white people have rights too.

Let me get this straight. Defending your family and property from a mob is a shocking moment?
I think the proper headline should be: "Pre-dawn mob records moment they intimidate DA on his front porch".

Sounds like a pretty sensible guy.
BUT, in LA?....Oh, wait,it is probably REALLY good to be the DA's husband.
Just sayin'.
If Joe Average White Guy had done this.....probably be in jail now.

I would have used a 12-gauge pump shotgun.

Re #2
Not disagreeing with you, white people certainly DO have rights, its just that the DA and her husband are both black!

The DA and her husband are both black. I’m surprised that this was reported.

You know those movies where gee goes into the hood to effect an arrest?
And every single window has one or more laser sight projecting?
Those might actually be educational films...

I agree that this man has every right to keep and bear arms. But he needs to learn gun safety and get his finger off the trigger. One oops and he goes to jail.

Considering past behaviour by BLM members, I can sympathize. They're not welcome at his home, and if they try to force entry, they will be met by deadly force, just like any other criminal.
I'm cheering for the LA DA.

Tactically, I agree with #5. That huge hole in the front of a shotgun is pretty daunting for almost anyone.

As a USC graduate and an attorney I tried to call her office twice and was hung up on. I see she has apologized for her husband's action "if anyone was injured." Although I am a Texan now, by choice, I would support her for re-election if she would stand with her husband. It appears she has already caved. I am embarrassed for her.

They were on his porch, so it is not shocking that he encouraged them to leave.

It’s about time someone stood up to these loud mouths. They think they’ll always get their way by being vociferous. They better be careful because everyone is on edge and if they aren’t careful, there will be another Kent State. And that DA should have supported her husband instead of apologizing. That woman has no spine or core beliefs. Doesn’t she know the media would have her back?

He didn't use a Biden approved double barreled shotgun. He used one of those scary looking, multi shot "assault" weapons that probably fires 600 rounds a second.

He should have shot them. You dont go to a man's house in a mob and demand to see his wife; at least not if you want to live.
Shame on his wife for apologizing.

This is an interesting dynamic. Hostile Black Lives Matter crowd trespassing on private property at 5:40 a.m. having the armed black resident protecting his property/life. Too bad the man did discharge a round in the ground then you would have seen Black Lives Scatter!

All he had to do to be in compliance with the laws of 99.9 percent of this country is claim that he believed that his life was in danger. An angry black mob on my porch would not have received a warning, just a hearty "Hello" from Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson.

“Before sunrise” this mob of black people shows up on her front porch. She saw the mob, gave him her gun. He went down and opened the door. Now the BLM thugs are the “victims”. Melina whoever said “she knows who I am…” as though recognizing their leader would make everything better.
They’re damned lucky they weren’t shot.

She is a pretty tough DA who believes in the death penalty, where appropriate, and is pretty hardline but fair. Her opponents are SJWs, no death penalty, bla bla bla….
