What it’s like for a first-

Everything you’ve heard about a Trump rally is true: It is a coming together of a broad swath of people who still believe in the Constitution and the promise of America. They see Trump as someone who shares their views and, having made America great, can keep it great. If you’ve watched rally videos, you already know what makes them so special: It’s Trump himself. He is exactly as you see him on the screen -- a larger-than-life, uniquely American character, a showman who is nevertheless a person of tremendous substance and accomplishment. He's also a comedian with the perfect timing

Well you can leave with the chant of "USA! USA!" ringing in your ears knowing these people really do love America. Or how about "Bread Lines! Bread Lines!" knowing these people want to blow up this country to recreate it in their image of socialism/communism. Think about it.

One thing that always impresses me in the rallies is how many times PDT uses the words ''We'' and ''Us'' as opposed to that creep before him. No I I I I I ...me me me me me. How refreshing.

After days of unusual comity between Republicans and Democrats in the coronavirus crisis, the big congressional economic aid package to help hospitals, laid off workers, and battered small businesses all came crashing down as Nancy Pelosi jetted in from vacation, blocking the set-to-go bill over the weekend. (snip) There's a crazy disconnect borne of class warfare, leftist talking points about corporations, and an inability to see that corporation employ workers, whose jobs are on the line.

On Saturday evening I drove to a local pizza joint to pick up a pizza. (snip) A TV at the pizza place, however, was tuned to CNN. It showed the Coronavirus death toll: 12,000-plus worldwide and 285 in the United States. The numbers stunned me. Not following the news closely, I presumed, based on the hysteria in the air, that the numbers had to be at least ten times that high both nationally and internationally. 285? According to the Center for Disease Control 185 Americans died of drug overdoses every day in 2018.

Italy has a tight Chinese connection, and not the Bruce Lee movie variety of the same name. From the South China Morning Post, “The Chinese began migrating to Italy about 30 years ago but numbers have swelled in the past decade, bringing the total population to about 300,000.” A travel website shows 9 inexpensive flight options between China and Italy. A Chinese couple from Wuhan took advantage of these travel opportunities in mid-January, visiting Verona, Parma and Rome before becoming febrile and quarantined in hospital, testing positive for the virus. How many Italians did this couple encounter in restaurants and shops? The Wuhan virus was well known at the time

It seems some viral infection pandemics are more equal than others. At least when it comes to burning a vibrant Trump economy to the ground. Hillary Clinton has chosen sides, and she is so firmly enlisted in the Chinese propaganda effort to evade responsibility for foisting the COVID-19 virus on the world that an ambassador from that country has publicly endorsed her on Twitter in the name of “justice.” Perhaps in the twisted worldview of pathological Trump hatred, it is a good thing to side with the progenitor of a plague upon the world, the country that openly plans to displace the United States and establish itself as the world’s hegemon.

Once upon a time, Jennifer Rubin was an intelligent woman. Things started to go downhill when she went to work for the Washington Post, but what really flipped the switch in her brain was seeing Donald Trump become president. Not only did she lose perspective, but she also lost intelligence, self-restraint, and decency. Her latest flight of NeverTrump nastiness has her speculate about possible Republican deaths during a time of coronavirus. Her speculation not only reveals an even further degradation of mind and soul, but she's got things entirely bass-ackwards wrong – and a couple of maps prove it.

The Democrats have truly lost their minds. For years they have wailed about how our borders should all be open, there should be no walls. When President Trump six weeks ago banned travelers from China, they called him a racist, of course. Now that the virus has spread, they are blaming him, accusing him of an anemic response. Wrong. The country has a pandemic plan in place, no matter who is president, but Trump has been on the case since China informed the world of the virus breakout. A task force to address this virus has been in place for at least a month.

Vice President Biden is due Monday to begin giving briefings on the coronavirus crisis so as to appear like a shadow president. There’s just one problem. Sleepy Joe, as President Trump likes to call him, has been upstaged by none other than Andrew Cuomo. It seems the doughty Democratic governor of New York has emerged as a star, while Mr. Biden is still getting a studio set up in his home. Maybe Mr. Cuomo is the one whom the Democrats should run against Mr. Trump. He has been out there every day of late with detailed updates, wise asides, references to his time in Washington, and commentary on the Constitution.

Democrats in the upper chamber were reportedly upset that the legislation does not do enough to increase fuel-emissions standards for the airline industry or to provide additional tax credits to promote wind and solar energy.
