Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz sparred with New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over several unanswered science questions. The spat began Thursday when Ocasio-Cortez criticized President Donald Trump for putting Vice President Mike Pence in charge of the task force responding to Coronavirus.(Snip for graphic) Cruz responded by asking Ocasio-Cortez, “As you are speaking as the oracle of science, tell us, what exactly is a Y chromosome?” (Snip for graphic) Ocasio-Cortez fired back, insulting Cruz and touting her own scientific prowess and resume.

I can’t wrap my head around Sandy winning anything intellectual.. I do not doubt her science project in high school was excellent- nor do I doubt she graduated with an Econ degree.. all verifiable. What I wonder is how someone with such capacity for learning could be so vacuous? If she was so smart, had interned with Kennedy.. why was she working as a bar tender? Why won’t she answer simple questions? But to dismiss her is wrong- she is the face of current college education indoctrination.

And, she'll have to call at least five people to confirm the answers she finds, poster 4. She will never believe the truth concerning life, and her head will explode. Thus, she will never answer the questions. Colleague? She can fit her brain on a speck of dirt under one of Senator Cruz's fingernails.

I just can't listen to her anymore. At first it was amusing to hear the nonsense coming out of her mouth but as I realized that she is an example of what the indoctrination centers (College and Universities) are cranking out, it's become quite depressing. Her ignorance coupled with her unbelievable arrogance is astounding and to top it off, she is but one of many. I remember when Colleges and Universities taught you HOW to think, not WHAT to think.

All of us, Senator Cruz included, can have a good laugh for now but AOC and her ilk are just the tip of the spear of where we are heading if we don't stay alert and stop it! She must be slapped down often and harder each time. Take her seriously and treat her that way. Everyone chuckled when a few crazy Germans about 1890 started to talk about the superior Aryan race and how their blood was purer than everyone else and thus superior. It was kind of funny & silly when they said the Aryans should rule the world from the top of the food chain, just like lions and eagles and sharks are at the top of their food chains. By 1930 no one was laughing any more and by 1936 highly educated German professors and doctors were swearing that under a microscope you could "see" a difference in Aryan blood --- and it shouldn't be mixed with other races. By 1939 all hell broke loose. It didn't end pretty. Stop AOC while we can!

#19 is right. It's fine to make fun of lady Alex from the Bronx. But don't underestimate her. Really. She is a powerful and potentially dangerous politician. She's a new type of politician who makes up in nerve what she lacks in knowledge. She doesn't need to know the law, the Constitution, or the procedures and traditions of Congress. And she doesn't need any advice or counseling from that doddering old crone Nancy from San Fran. All she really needs to know is how the game is played. Because she is a "Playah". She is a perfect kind of politician in an age of institutionalized and force fed idiocy in our educational system. She's attractive, has a good sense of style, and is glib and facile. It's a potent combination that will attract a lot of votes from a generation that doesn't know how to think with logic or rationality. If she can survive two or more terms in the House, she will gain in seniority, and has the potential to become a dominant force in Democratic politics. A sort of better looking but just as radical female Hugo Chavez. And that is scary.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says.
