I can’t wrap my head around Sandy winning anything intellectual.. I do not doubt her science project in high school was excellent- nor do I doubt she graduated with an Econ degree.. all verifiable. What I wonder is how someone with such capacity for learning could be so vacuous? If she was so smart, had interned with Kennedy.. why was she working as a bar tender? Why won’t she answer simple questions? But to dismiss her is wrong- she is the face of current college education indoctrination.

Double major in Economics and International Relations. That dear readers is how you graduate with honors. You take a serious major and back it up with a puff major in Basket Weaving to protect your gpa. That, plus a subway card, will get you a job as a barmaid.

At the time of publication, Ocasio-Cortez had not responded to any of the questions. Google must be slow today, it's taking a long time for her to look up the answers.

And, she'll have to call at least five people to confirm the answers she finds, poster 4. She will never believe the truth concerning life, and her head will explode. Thus, she will never answer the questions. Colleague? She can fit her brain on a speck of dirt under one of Senator Cruz's fingernails.

I just can't listen to her anymore. At first it was amusing to hear the nonsense coming out of her mouth but as I realized that she is an example of what the indoctrination centers (College and Universities) are cranking out, it's become quite depressing. Her ignorance coupled with her unbelievable arrogance is astounding and to top it off, she is but one of many. I remember when Colleges and Universities taught you HOW to think, not WHAT to think.

As I understand it, her degree path was filled w economic “philosophy” more than hard core subject matter. Stats, micro/macro Econ - you know...the core stuff. Put her and her degree up against my ex w his from Wharton. He was investment banker, DLJ, right out of Wharton. She, a bartender. Hmmmm.

I guess AOC in all of her intelligence doesn't realize that President Trump is very careful in his actions. Pandemics cause panic and she should know what happens when panic comes into the picture. AOC, I think Vice President Mike Pence was a brilliant choice! You must be a very jealous person. You are always criticizing just like Mitt Romney. Jealous and envious.

If Ted doesn't lay off AOC will win the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Decades ago a radio talk show host was interviewing a Civil Rights Warrior named Hosea Williams who claimed to have left his career as a research chemist to become a demonstrator. The host then asked him to define valence and he responded he was in another speciality in chemistry. If I met AOC I would ask her if she visits Australia how she would keep her tip money from falling out of her pocket and heading to the sky.

All of us, Senator Cruz included, can have a good laugh for now but AOC and her ilk are just the tip of the spear of where we are heading if we don't stay alert and stop it! She must be slapped down often and harder each time. Take her seriously and treat her that way. Everyone chuckled when a few crazy Germans about 1890 started to talk about the superior Aryan race and how their blood was purer than everyone else and thus superior. It was kind of funny & silly when they said the Aryans should rule the world from the top of the food chain, just like lions and eagles and sharks are at the top of their food chains. By 1930 no one was laughing any more and by 1936 highly educated German professors and doctors were swearing that under a microscope you could "see" a difference in Aryan blood --- and it shouldn't be mixed with other races. By 1939 all hell broke loose. It didn't end pretty. Stop AOC while we can!

#19 is right. It's fine to make fun of lady Alex from the Bronx. But don't underestimate her. Really. She is a powerful and potentially dangerous politician. She's a new type of politician who makes up in nerve what she lacks in knowledge. She doesn't need to know the law, the Constitution, or the procedures and traditions of Congress. And she doesn't need any advice or counseling from that doddering old crone Nancy from San Fran. All she really needs to know is how the game is played. Because she is a "Playah". She is a perfect kind of politician in an age of institutionalized and force fed idiocy in our educational system. She's attractive, has a good sense of style, and is glib and facile. It's a potent combination that will attract a lot of votes from a generation that doesn't know how to think with logic or rationality. If she can survive two or more terms in the House, she will gain in seniority, and has the potential to become a dominant force in Democratic politics. A sort of better looking but just as radical female Hugo Chavez. And that is scary.

#2, you can't go by that. I double majored in Economics and Scandinavian Languages. My second major was simply for fun. But the truth is, AOC really didn't learn anything in her classes. Maybe it was her school or the professors....whatever it was, she did not learn anything of substance. Perhaps she only listened to the lectures on centralized economies. Then again, she may have just memorized what she needed to to take tests and it all went out the other ear at the drunken frat parties afterwards. Remember, they call that leftist idiot, Paul Krugman an "economist" and he knows absolutely nothing about the subject!! I am more qualified to hold the title than that hack!!

Conservatives have been trying for decades to create an immigration system that rewards immigrants who won’t be a burden on society and discourages those who will. The Trump administration this week began enforcing the “public charge” rule, giving U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services the authority to refuse green cards — the key step on the path to citizenship — to people who have used a wide range of nonemergency welfare programs. “The main reason this got done is because we have a president who is determined enough to make self-sufficiency matter again in a meaningful way,” said Ken Cuccinelli, who pushed through the rule as acting chief of USCIS

In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg tried to describe the political scene: A few years ago, there was a revolution against the intelligentsia. People said, “You know, those people, particularly on the coasts, are trying to tell us what to do.” They wanted a change. That explains Donald Trump. Now, people seem to have changed. This cycle, people want stability. Have they changed so much? Bloomberg thinks the tides are turning in his direction. I’m not so sure on either count. Coronavirus is clearing the air in China. Stunning aerial images of Earth show a drastic decrease in pollution levels over northern China in the past month, as entire towns the size of New York City have been shut down amid the deadly outbreak. The images, produced by NASA and the European Space Agency, compare air quality between Jan. 1 and Jan. 20 with pollution levels between Feb. 10 and 25 — and the difference in nitrogen dioxide concentration is stunning. In a typical February, NO2 levels surge after Chinese New Year celebrations, as factories reopen and more vehicles take to the roads following the annual holiday. This year was an exception,

It’s been several years since Puerto Rico was wrecked by successive hurricanes. Yet, as we recently found out, insufficient progress has been made toward normalcy because the territorial government is in worse shape than the infrastructure. It’s a shame it took a natural disaster to expose endemic corruption going back years. Sweetheart deals between the politicians and the unions that put them in office have left America’s Caribbean jewel on the brink of bankruptcy. Congress stepped in near the end of the Obama administration with legislation leading to the appointment of an independent financial oversight board authorized to restructure the debt owed to the island’s creditors.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — South Carolina doesn’t get the attention its northern neighbors do. Fourth in the primary states, it lacks the excitement of the opening guns of Iowa and New Hampshire (although Fort Sumter is just across the bay). But pay attention, because the results of its Saturday election will play a deciding role in the future of the Democratic Party. Former Vice President Joe Biden is strongest down here. We knew that even before his national position became precarious. Name-recognition, moderate Democrats, and popularity with black voters combine to place him an average of 12 points ahead of the next guy as of Friday morning.

Tulane University's "Victory Bell" has been removed from its pedestal on the school's Uptown campus after officials learned it was originally used as a plantation bell. In a letter emailed to the Tulane community, President Mike Fitts and Board Chairman Doug Hertz said they were informed last week that the bell was originally used to direct the movements of enslaved people on a plantation.
