An editorial published Friday in the New England Journal of Medicine speculated that the coronavirus currently causing panic in world markets could turn out no worse than “a severe seasonal influenza” in terms of mortality.Citing an analysis of the available data from the outbreak in China, the authors note that there have been zero cases among children younger than 15; and that the fatality rate is 2% at most, and could be “considerably less than 1%.”Those who have died have been elderly or were already suffering from another illness — as with ordinary flu. The underlying data suggest that the symptoms varies, and fewer than
You have to ask: Who benefits from the media sensation ? Who doesn't ? Jan 2009 who benefited from the market crash ?

Starting to look more likely. If you aren't sick and elderly, both, probably not much of a factor.

After reading this, I'm mad as h3ll. My husband and I lost a lot of $$ on the stock market this week. Hopefully it will bounce back. I say turn off your TVs to FAKE news NOW.

How dare a reputable medical publication derail a partisan political narrative with scientific facts!

Apparently quite a number of people in Iran died from the virus. While we don't know how many were infected, it seems the mortality rate is pretty high. The virulence of the virus also seems to vary widely in different parts of the world. Personally, I think it's way too early to speculate that it will be no worse than seasonal flu.

It would not surprise me if Soros would sneak some infected coronavirus people into this country to spread it around.

This is an interesting story on something that happened here:
In Southern California's Orange County, the city of Costa Mesa went to court to prevent state and federal health officials from transferring dozens of people exposed to the virus aboard a cruise ship in Japan to a state-owned facility in the city. The passengers, including some who tested positive for the virus and underwent hospital care, had been staying at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California.
On Friday, state officials said the federal decided it no longer had a crucial need to move those people to the Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa. That's because of the imminent end of the isolation period for those passengers and the relatively small number of persons who ended up testing positive, officials said.

Orange County said “no”. And in the end (which didn’t take long) it turned out that the move to a facility there was not needed...

PS. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone like Soros tanked the stock market to get Trump and it is being blamed on the coronavirus...

Our top officials are saying that China has been uncooperative in helping us understand the origin of the virus and the Wuhan outbreak. Indian researchers examining the virus claimed that it is man-made and includes structures similar to HIV. Their report was abruptly withdrawn. There are other reports that agents of China stole the virus from the West, and they lost control of it at their level 4 bio facility in Wuhan. Also, the young doctor who was charged for spreading false news about the virus died within a week of coming down with the virus. Others, including a high CCP official in charge of managing the outbreak, have died as well. Now, it is reported that some patients that were cleared of the infection have been re-infected.
It appears that we don't know everything there is to know about this virus. If it was biologically engineered or weaponized, it may have characteristics which make it more stable outside the host and/or give it the ability to hide within the body. An incubation period of up to 40 days has been reported, and the infected host can spread the virus without showing signs of infection. I don't know about you, but I am far from unconcerned.

There has been no proof of the possibility that the virus could be communicated by an individual who was still in a prolonged incubation period and still asymptomatic. That was just something they were kicking around, along with other “theories”, as they tried to figure out this new “novel” virus.
What is being found and published is that many of those who have contracted the disease are only mildly ill, and those who have died were elderly and/or had other preexisting conditions. It does not seem to hit children under 15.
