Bernie Sanders’ Road To

Front-runner Bernie Sanders portrays himself as the antidote to corruption in Washington. But his own policies guarantee it will vastly increase. “We will transform our political system by rejecting the influence of big corporate money,” Sanders said when he released his sweeping anti-corruption plan last fall. It includes such things as bans on lobbying, mandatory taxpayer financing of elections and a constitutional amendment restricting free speech. But at the same time, Sanders’ spending spree would more than double the size of the federal government. He’s proposed free health care, free college, free daycare, guaranteed jobs, a “green new deal.” When

Sander's 'progressive' programs are the perpetual motion machines of politics. They require infinte resources from a finite system. They cannot work once they meet the real world and the only thing they lead to is millions dead.

Think about how quickly affluent countries like Nicaragua, and Venezuala went belly up once Socialists took power. If you were standing on the sidelines, waiting for the Red Line to be drawn, this is it. If they win,America loses.

The Federal government taxed and spent 8% of GDP prior to WWII. That skyrocketed to 17% to fight the war. Instead of backing down it has remained at 17% give or take a point. During those post war years we have had high tax policies and less high tax policies all resulting in 17% of GDP.(Hauser's Law) High tax rate periods yielded 17% of a contracted economy and and lower tax rate periods resulted in increased tax collections and a growing economy. Then we have the global economic freedom index which demonstrates the same thing across the globe throughout time. Then we have the brutal history of failed socialist states. It is incumbent on anybody espousing higher taxes, let alone socialism how it is possible to break these historical patterns. You don't produce that which will be stolen by roving bands of thieves, be they honest thieves in the absence of collective resistance with no government or a government that has grown out of control becoming dishonest thieves. Somewhere in the middle with limited government people thrive (Laffer curve for dummies)

The corruption is already there. That is the only way someone like Bernie Sanders could rise to the top. We have America haters voting for the candidate that hates America the most. We have moochers voting for the candidate that 'promises' the most freebies. We have ignoramuses voting for a Socialist because they have been taught Socialism is cool. The serfdom follows when we all become 'property' of the state and national government 'leaders'.

"It includes such things as bans on lobbying, mandatory taxpayer financing of elections and a constitutional amendment restricting free speech." This is man is so arrogant that he doesn't even recognize what he is doing. He wants a constitutional amendment restricting free speech? He uses his campaign for free speech. . . If he really cared for the populace, why didn't he put the effort in for real change. Nope, he kept buying more houses etc., lining his pockets, hardly performing at his congress job etc. Democrats are very, very boring and repetitive.

Judging from how much and how well Bernie has screwed the taxpayers while mayor of Burlington and later a congressman to the entire state of Vermont, imagine what Bernie could do to the US Treasury. He could make Barak and Michelle look frugal.

More government inevitably brings more corruption. The more power the government has over the lives of the governed, the more interest the governed have in directing the outcome. And since human beings are corruptible, means will be found to influence the actions of government.

Do not think they aren't looking to the California model, get as many people into government jobs, and as many on the dole, who then continue to vote to maintain that benefit. There is never enough money they will spend to buy those voters. Government workers in one section support the taxes/fees for other departments. They are all motivated to vote to maintain the system that benefits them. Think of government more as a non-profit, with never-ending need for more $$$$.

Though they claim the opposite, toxic socialism results in the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few party members and bureaucrats, while capitalism spreads wealth around widely and results in thousands and thousands of millionaires.

As we’re being told to prepare for a coronavirus pandemic, it’s time to ask how Medicare for All would handle a global breakout of an infectious deadly disease. An honest answer won’t inspire confidence in the socialist health care systems Democrats want to force on America. Health officials say a Wuhan coronavirus spread in the U.S. is inevitable, and are telling us to prepare. They are encouraging schools and businesses to conduct their activities over the Internet and through conference calls when possible, and want Americans to practice “social distancing.” At the same time, markets are hurting, and trade has

With Joe Biden eating the now-front running Bernie Sanders’ dust, garnering fewer than half of Sanders’ number of delegates in Nevada despite finishing second, after coming in fourth in Iowa and fifth in New Hampshire, you would think the decidedly left-leaning media would be popping the champagne corks. The most radical major candidate in history being on track to getting the Democratic presidential nomination should spark celebrations in their newsrooms and studios. After all, whether it’s the New York Times or MSNBC, most print and TV journalists want a revolutionary transformation of American society just as much as Bernie does.

It is extremely difficult if not impossible to defeat an incumbent president when the economy is doing well. Just ask 1984 Democratic nominee Fritz Mondale, or 1996 Republican nominee Bob Dole. In the case of Donald Trump, the economy isn’t just healthy; it’s reached unprecedented milestones. America is enjoying the longest expansion in history. Unemployment reached and remains near a 50-year low. Nearly 7 million full-time jobs have been generated under Trump, including nearly a half million manufacturing jobs, after two decades of serious manufacturing decline widely viewed as irreversible. There are two tacks from which to choose in confronting

When it comes to virtue signaling, it will be tough to top Jeff Bezos, who has pledged to put $10 billion – nearly 8% – of his net worth to help “save Earth.” He’d be better off investing that money in his own company, which has probably done more to reduce CO2 emissions than the do-gooders lining up for his handouts ever will. “Climate change is the biggest threat to our planet,” Bezos wrote in an Instagram post. “I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change

In his State of the Union address five years ago, President Barack Obama talked at length about what he called “middle-class economics.” After years of economic stagnation, he promised that the only thing needed to revive the economy was more middle-class benefits. The middle class has made substantial gains since then, but only because President Donald Trump ignored everything Obama said. In Obama’s address, he described “middle-class economics” as “helping folks afford childcare, college, health care, a home, retirement.” In other words, still more federal middle-class entitlements and new mandates on employers (higher minimum wage, paid family leave, etc.).

Impeachment has backfired far beyond the worst nightmares Democrats could have imagined. In its aftermath, President Donald Trump’s approval rating is actually now at its highest ever. For them, it is the fourth quarter and the clock is getting close to zero, with Election Day nine months off. Joe Biden is fading, the party asking to take over health care can’t count votes in a modest-sized state, and its leader in Congress is so unglued she rips up Trump’s State of the Union speech. But is there a Hail Mary pass some prominent figure on the left could attempt, to

If you’re a Democrat, is there anything more horrifying than hearing Barack Obama’s campaign manager for his 2012 successful reelection warn that “the nominee (of the Democratic Party for 2020) will be broke, as Romney was against us”? That is exactly what Jim Messina told the Washington Post this week – even as the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump raged. Speaking of how much money Trump has been raising and utilizing, Messina added, “I have never seen spending like it. And it’s a lot on rallies, which are expensive and speak to the base.”

An unwelcome ghost haunts the U.S. Senate this week as it takes up the dubious charges against President Donald Trump: the disembodied spirit of a slain president who six decades ago spoke from a desk near the back of the Senate chamber. Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kennedy in 1957 won the Pulitzer Prize for biography for his portrait of eight of his predecessors in the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body, “Profiles In Courage” (even though speechwriter Ted Sorenson ghostwrote almost all of it), and the notoriety helped propel him to the highest office in the land several years later. While it may be true that “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” (Shakespeare) it is also true that socialism by any other name still smells like socialism. As we approach this year’s elections, the purveyors of socialism have tried to rebrand their product by calling it “democratic socialism.” The sales force and marketing department of democratic socialism, the Democratic Party, and the mainstream media, are plying a new fairy tale that democratic socialism is nothing like socialism. No siree, nothing like it, they sing in chorus. The chorus, however, is badly out of tune. Democratic socialism is not the wonderland of inclusiveness,

Washington - President Donald Trump pushed back Wednesday against criticism that his administration isn’t doing enough to meet the coronavirus threat, as lawmakers called for giving disease fighters much more money than the $2.5 billion the White House has requested. A day after he sought to minimize fears of the virus spreading widely across the U.S., Trump prepared to hold a White House press conference with experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He tweeted that the CDC, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and others in the administration are “doing a great job with respect to Coronavirus!” and accused some news outlets of “panicking markets.”
