The White House is reportedly weighing options to dismiss Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council (NSC) in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy, a report said.Bloomberg reported that the White House plans to frame it as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not a retaliation. Vindman gave testimony last year during President Donald Trump's impeachment proceedings.Vindman was an important witness for the Democrats in July and raised concerns over Trump's phone call with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky.

They should just call the Vindman what it is - a very high security risk to our nation, then give him room and board in an isolation ward in Leavenworth for his own protection.

They should assign him to San Francisco security and give him a pooper scooper. He can wear his uniform. Maybe the street people will be impressed with him.
Vindman is obviously an arrogant jerk who thought he could take on the President of the United States over bureaucratic trivialities that would essentially turn the President into a hand puppet of the Deep State. THAT alone shows a YUGE lack of good judgement. These kinds of screw ups are better left to someone like Rummey, who also displays arrogance, massively bad judgement, moral failing, and probably won't fare too well either.

Why is he still there? He violated his oath of office as an office in our armed forces. I took that oath and administered it to others many times. He must be kicked out and then courts martial should punish him. Failure to do so will inspire other miscreants to follow his 'in-your-face' disrespect and violation of good order. Such cannot stand. .

Vindman is the kind of butt kissing officer that would have thrived under the Kenyan administration. I would suspect that the White House avoided the appearance of obstruction by keeping all of the anti-Trump lapdogs on the payroll but their shield has now been removed. Say goodbye to your cushy careers and Deep State credentials. The article has very little meat.

He set himself up for martyrdom during his testimony, sanctimoniously saying that he knew he was taking a huge risk, but was willing to step out for love of country. Firing him would give the left a trove of ammunition. The smartest thing the administration can do is keep him on staff and lock him out from receiving sensitive information and/or set him up by giving him false information to see if he leaks.

The "White House" (whoever is included in that description) should make a List, check it twice, then fire them all at once. NO need to start leaking who is going and who is staying. Clean House all at once. Have the "New Hires" ready to step in and go to work. Trump has been in offiice long enough to now know who to listen to when people suggest someone to work in the White House. Also, clean house in Intelligence. Seems to me that's where the Rat's Nest is! Put Matt Whitaker in charge of Personnel! He is a True Trump supporter!

Japanese companies used to be famous for not firing executives. Instead, they would move you into an empty office with a desk and a chair. Nothing on the desk, nothing in the drawers, and you were not allowed to bring in a brief case with reading material. Just an empty office and you, and absolutely nothing to do. Even though you were still being paid, most didn't last long with nothing to occupy them and quit. Hint hint.

#28, Antarctica wouldn't really work either. The US installation is McMurdo Station and it's very built-up. They even have a pub. Check the overhead and street views on Google Earth. However, they could give him daily duty to clean up the penguin and seal poop and could only return to the station for his required four hours of sleep per night.

#23 is right: this must be done with some thought and strategy. No need to make Vindman any more of a martyr than he already is. At the same time, there are still many deep state/Obama-appointed snakes in the White House and on the NSC staff. As Devin Nunes has suggested, they should all be reassigned to a vacant office building on the other side of the Potomac, with no discernible tasks other than answer the phone when the press toadies call them (and you can bet how long their favored status with the prestitutes will last when they no longer have the ability to spy on the President).

Vindman testified under oath before Congress that three times he was offered the position of Minister of Defense for Ukraine. How the heck does she still have a security clearance? You cannot has a security clearance if you have dual loyalties. Well, at least that is how it was when I had a security clearance. Trump's head of the NSC, AG Barr, etc. need to start dealing with these people. Screw saving the reputations of these institutions. They've been trashed by their own employees.

#51, dual citizenship is a disqualifying factor for a top secret security clearance. my father was born in Poland, which caused the security investigator, an FBI agent, to do some extra work. But i did receive my top secret clearance, and that was back in the 1960s.
The polish constitution, created in the early 1990s, grants citizenship to children whose parent was born in Poland, so that applies to me.
If I were to be submitted for a Top Secret clearance today, the U.S./Polish dual citizenship would disqualify me.

The President’s current National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien has publicly stated that it is his intention to reduce the number of policy advisor employed by the National Security Council at the White House that was expanded to well over 200 by former President Obama will be reduced by half to maybe less than 100. That is bound to mean that all the Obama holdovers will be returned to their permanent federal agencies in the near future. Remember the President is entitled to have a National Security Council that will not leak National Security information and not spy on him for partisan political purposes.

I'm with #23 & #50. Be careful not to make a martyr of Vindman. Assign him somewhere where he has no access to secret information. Let him fade away. He likely became an intelligence officer solely because he could speak and write Ukrainian and Russian. If he wants to return to the Urkaine and accept their offers of employment, let him do it.

It was just reported that Alexander Vindman has been fired from the White House NSC and has been escorted off the White House grounds. Now all he has to deal with will be the Army higher ups and you can bet that will not be fun for Vindman, since the Army apparently told him not to wear his Army uniform when he testified before the congressional committees.
The next step is to get rid of all the Obama holdovers at the NSC, as the President is entitled to a staff that will not leak national security or other classified information, tattle the President’s conversations to partisan Democrats, or spy on him and his family.
