Iranians who fled the Islamic Republic after facing persecution and prison sentences for their Christian faith said in remarks to Breitbart News this week that the majority of people in Iran support President Donald Trump’s decision to eliminate Iranian terror chief Qasem Soleimani. Soleimani, a major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was the head of Iran’s Quds Force and responsible for its foreign terrorism strategy. U.S. officials have confirmed that he pioneered the use of roadside bombs in Iraq and Syria to kill and dismember American soldiers. Trump ordered an airstrike on Soleimani in January after a pro-Iran mob attempted to storm the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.

On Fox News Thursday, erstwhile South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy fired upon former Federal Bureau of Investigations Director James Comey and 2016-2018 FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Trey told host Martha MacCallum the deeds of top FBI officials was sufficient evidence to suspect they were “out to get” Donald Trump. In a post-acquittal speech Thursday, the President set his sights on Comey with — in Martha’s words — a “searing rebuke”: “Had I not fired James Comey — who was a disaster, by the way — it’s possible I wouldn’t even be standing here right now. We caught ’em in the act. Dirty cops. Bad people.”

The New York Times’ 1619 Project — a curriculum that makes the fantastical claim that a primary cause of the Revolutionary War was the colonists’ desire to protect slavery — has been adopted in 3,500 classrooms across all 50 states. For this reason, some of the nation’s most renowned historians have called for The Times to correct this and other factual errors. The Pulitzer Center, which is partnering with The Times to promote The 1619 Project, recounted in its 2019 annual report, “Good journalism, innovative educational resources, and deep community engagement are absolutely essential to bridging the divisions that threaten to rip our democracy apart.

She disgraced herself. She dishonored the House." The second highest-up person in the Department of Homeland Security said on Thursday that New York has 'reintroduced the problem that caused 9/11' by giving undocumented migrants driver's licenses. The Trump administration this week banned all New York state residents from applying to or renewing their membership to Global Entry and other Trusted Traveler Programs because of a new state law which allows undocumented migrants to obtain driver's licenses. The programs speed up travel times in airports and require an interview, passport check and fingerprint check before approval.

Vice President Hillary Clinton? Well, never say never. Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres asked the former Secretary of State on Thursday whether she’d agree to be on the ticket of the of the eventual Democratic nominee, if she were asked.“Well, that’s not going to happen,” Clinton laughed. “But no, probably no.” Pushed on the question, Clinton, 72, reluctantly said she’d consider it. “I never say never because I believe in serving my country, but it’s never going to happen,” she said

CNN ran the chyron “Trump Vindictive at Impeachment Acquittal ‘Celebration'” during a White House event to mark his victory this week in the impeachment fight — and years of investigation before that. The event, where Trump spoke extemporaneously for over an hour, featured several jabs at those who attempted to take down his administration — but also many jokes, and warm plaudits for his supporters.CNN also ran a chyron that read “Trump Speaks After Impeachment Acquittal,” but alternated it with the other chyron. MSNBC described the event as”Trump Speaks After Senate Impeachment Acquittal.” Fox News ran the chyron: “President Trump Makes Remarks on Senate Impeachment Acquittal.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blasted President Trump’s comments at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday morning in which he took a swipe at the Speaker's previous comments that she prayed for the president. “I don’t know if the president understands about prayer or people who pray,” Pelosi said Thursday at her weekly press conference. “I pray for the United States of America, I pray for him, I pray for President Bush still, President Obama… because it’s a heavy responsibility …I pray hard for him because he’s so off the track

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is ready to move forward, following the end of the impeachment trial. Just minutes after the final impeachment vote Wednesday, Sen. McConnell (R-Ky.) filed motions to hold votes on five of the president’s judicial nominees. The move included Andrew Brasher to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. This shows McConnell and the president remain committed to judicial confirmations, which is something the president reaffirmed during his State of the Union address on Tuesday.“Working with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, thank you Mitch, and his colleagues in the Senate we have confirmed a record number of 187 new federal judges to uphold
