The NY Times has a follow up report on the disaster created by the app intended to streamline reporting of the Iowa caucus results. Earlier today the Democratic Party had released a statement saying the app had accurately recorded data but had a glitch when it came to reporting that data. But according to the NY Times, the majority of the 1700 precinct chairs couldn’t even get the app to install on their phones, in part because it had never been approved for use by the Apple store: Two people who work for Acronym, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they did not want to risk their jobs,

We don't need to use computers in our elections.
Avoid tampering and crashes, ban computer in elections. This country voted for 200+years without computers, and it still can.

Also, Bootuhgegegeg was using this app in his campaign all along...after paying $42,000 for it. His app must have been working just fine and that's why he declared victory early on. That app "glitch" was no accident. Big Tech are all commies. I worry about what is going on behind the scenes technologically.

Don't kid yourselves, this was the first step to eliminate Bernie. Democrats (social or otherwise) do not want Bernie to be their nominee, and they really don't want a direct confrontation between Capitalism and Socialism!

The "glitch" is a feature and benefit of the app. We need to go back to the future and paper ballots.

Now I understand, being an IT professional who has cursed and screamed his way through Apple phone apps in the past. It's not something you can rush through programming and certainly can't install without hours on the phone with some geek who keeps saying, "try this, okay, try this." Just like the Zerocare website written by Mooch's school chum, this was bungled all the way through. It's also an accurate preview of democrat performance in the near future if they ever gain any kind of power.

Way to louse it up, dims. All you had to do was go to your Play Store app and download it.

As is so facilely asserted these days, anyone can learn to code. And apparently does in some precincts.

"useable by a bunch of people not very familiar with technology"
Have you taken a good look at a lot of people who work at election precincts, especially in rural areas? A lot of them belong to the generation who's VCR flashed "12:00" for decades because they didn't know how to set the clock.
This is a BOCare website fiasco repeat but worse, which shows that the dems have actually regressed in 10 years. Trump's team, since his election, has built a state of the art digital election tracking and interaction system that actually works. The dems are still learning to tie their shoes.
It was already becoming clear that Trump would win reelection. Now it looks like the dems are going to completely collapse and be embarrassed off of the national stage.

Did they assume every precinct captain had the same version cellphone? I bet the App wouldn't install on many phones even if they followed the instructions. And all the caucus people are volunteers - many are older and living in rural areas where cellphone coverage many be spotty.

Demonrats are forever claiming that if a Republican breathes it disenfranchises minority and poor voters. Well, here's a clear case of Donks purposefully disenfranchising minorities and the poor, since not everyone can afford an iPhone, or any smartphone for that matter.

Dems have been stuffing paper ballot boxes since Ben Franklin was in short pants. ( and knee sox ).
Yet you can send ten thousand bucks from Houston to Tokyo with a PIN and a card #.
We could all vote on line with no problem given a system that was meant to work.
I suggest that the cheaters prefer paper and fear a robust electronic system.

On the contrary, the app did just what the DNC intended it to do:
1) Blunt Bernie's expected first-place showing
2) Prop up Biden for another lap
3) Disguise the unenthusiastic turnout numbers

40+ Years locked in mortal combat, aka programming, diagnosing, debugging, ' working with computers', and I have NEVER heard or seen an accurate technical clear definition of GLITCH !!
Have finally concluded that there isn't one !! 'Glitch' is a short, simple, concise word for
'beats the h*** out of us what happened' !
They really do not know. They never will and they do not care.
All that is required is that we go along with this technological Titanic and trust our betters that whatever numbers come out the other end of this foray into 'phone voting' will be accurate and trustworthy.
Yeah, right.
NOTHING is safe or secure on ANY computer given time. ANYTHING that is in a computer, created on a computer, or goes through a computer can be manipulated to look like or say ANYTHING given access and time - and sometimes, only time is required - access can be found !! .

Incompetence or a corrupt vote rigging scheme?
I'd bet it is corruption.
