The Iowa Caucus Just Crashed
and Burned and Democrats

The Iowa caucus data operation just crashed and burned. That means that it could take days to get find out who actually won the Democratic contest – the first of the 2020 presidential election cycle. Gobsmacked candidates have come out to throw confetti, drop balloons, and declare "on to New Hampshire!" There's nothing else to do except to declare victory and move on. No one really knows, right? Joe Biden's lawyers have sent the Iowa caucus organizers a sternly worded letter ordering them not to reveal the winner until the results are cleared with them.

And these are the people who say they are going to handle your healthcare right? OMG talk about incompetence. How about you just do it the old fashion way use a pencil and paper? Safer and you have a paper trail so the results can really be seen. Everyone should demand that their states use paper and pencil ballot for the November election.

I know what happened (I think!). Creepy Uncle Joe, Lieawatha, Mayor Pete, Amy K, all looked at the landslide for Bernie results and said, "Oh no, uh uh, no way, Jose. Declare some sort of 'malfunction' which voids all plays and pays." I have a sinking, stinking feeling that The Beast Herself will be declared the surprise winner. You heard it here first.

Iowans have always thought they were being clever and cute with this disorganized mess they call a ‘caucus’. It totally excludes anyone working nights, who have kids and no babysitter, or are physically unable to attend an event like this. Meanwhile they get the overboard attention of candidates dropping millions in their State. They are all fools. The icing on the cake is that the results will never be considered legitimate. Nice job.

Maybe it isn't so much a race to the bottom as it is a race among the bottom(of the barrel). They are so stuck on this invalid election modus operandi, they can't even produce an outcome among the democrat contenders. It may be no mistake nothing is working, could be sabotage. They are all so paranoid that someone else will be declared a winner, they probably wouldn't mind if a winner is never announced. Then they all just go on pretending, like they always do.

Iowa caucus fiasco translates into Trump gaining an extra point for everyday it is in limbo. What's going on? Who knows! Can't believe any of them! No transparency here. Democrats don't govern, they rule. We are seeing it with the caucuses regardless of outcome. They do this every four years. How hard can it be? Apparently its very complicated for the Democrats who have become increasingly heavy handed with everything. There is a power struggle inside the democratic party. Said before, and will say it again. These people aren't fit to govern!

Both the Democrats and the Republicans held their caucuses in Iowa last night. The Republican caucus went like clockwork with President Trump declared the winner. The Democrat caucus turned into an unmitigated disaster after the Democrats could not figure out the results of their caucuses, with just about all of the Democrat candidates then declaring victory in speeches and moving on to the New Hampshire primary election. That essentially screwed the real Iowa caucus winner and has given Democrat operatives time to manipulate the Democrat caucus results to reach a desired end result. Now the Democrats are trying to deflect their incompetence by blaming the Iowa caucus set-up for their disaster. The Democrats don’t even know if all the people who attended their caucuses are actually people who are legitimate Iowa voters. Do you want that demonstrated Democrat incompetence to control your future healthcare?

This entire show has been Glorious to behold! DemocRATs buying an "app" for use in tabulating results from Crooked Hillary's former campaign manager, Robbie Mook! Just awesome stupid! I think the central planners were counting on Trump being impeached by the time of the Caucus and when he wasn't, they couldn't pull their act together after beating their teeny tiny fists against the wall and stomping their teeny tiny feet on the floor! Kind of like that dude (?) or dudette that was pictured sitting on the street in a stocking hat screening like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum after Trump beat Crooked Hillary! I am loving every messed up hour this goes on! Now Bernie can't march into New Hampshire and brag that he is a winner...because he is, has been and always will be a LOSER! (Big L on forehead)! Very entertaining stuff that beats any Super Bowl by an infinite amount of joy and good cheer for all to be had! Iowa, my home state! Full of looney liberals who are as far left as one can get! Go to Iowa City sometime (Hawkeyes, my College of the early 70's) and you will be walking into Central Planning Central. I think a dude needs a signed agreement to say hi to a dame today or risks getting taken to court for sexual harassment...and he will surely lose!!! Iowa is gone forever...except for Donald Manifico! He will carry the state because dispirited lefties will now sit home and pout on election night. Great stuff to watch for all!

President Trump is absolutely sitting on top of the world. This is the highest point of his presidency so far. Consider what has happened in the last four days, and the reasons become clear. On Saturday, Republican senators stuck together. In voting not to prolong a farcical Senate trial with a predetermined outcome, they refused to honor the politically motivated impeachment that House Democrats brought on a flimsy pretext. On Sunday, the Trump campaign aired ads during the Super Bowl. He advertised to a politically mixed sports crowd, but the point of the ads was not to rile up his base the way most candidates do during primary season.

As of this writing (early afternoon on Tuesday) the results of the Iowa caucuses — the Hawkeye cauci, as Rush Limbaugh calls them — remain unknown. How in hell is that possible? Because the intellectual titans who insist that they can (if only we give them sufficiently uncontested powers of official coercion) impose expert rational “scientific” management on everything from health care to global energy markets in reality cannot organize a two-car parade in Toeterville. Our would-be managers and planners are, in fact, useless as teats on a boar hog. How incompetent are the 2020 Democrats? Incompetent enough to make the 2020 Republicans look . . .

Will Rogers famously quipped, “I’m not a member of any organized political party. I’m a Democrat.” Monday’s Iowa caucuses certainly confirmed the Democratic penchant for chaos. They also highlighted the party’s suicidal tendencies. Any doubt on this score should be cleared up by Bernie Sanders’ Iowa showing, the ulcers it is causing at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the glee it inspires among Republicans. For the GOP, his campaign has no downside. If Sanders is again denied the Democratic nomination due to DNC skulduggery, his supporters will stay home in November. If he captures the nomination, Trump will crush him. This view is not restricted to the GOP.

Caucuses are a terrible way to pick a nominee. There is no secret ballot, so every nosy neighbor and busybody who prefers another candidate knows who you’re supporting. There is no access for those who work nights or need babysitters. And this year, Democrats have a fairly arbitrary 15 percent threshold — no delegates for anyone who falls below that line. The live television coverage does not generate a warm and fuzzy feeling from Iowans gathering in church basements and high school gymnasiums. The two rounds of reallocation meant that supporters of those below the viability line started trying to form alliances out of Survivor,

Call me Karen, I really don't care, but what I just sat through during the halftime show at the 2020 Super Bowl should never happen again. I want to speak to all the supervisors who let this happen.(Snip for tweet) The FCC still has rules about decency on network television between certain hours when children are watching. It is well established that children are watching during the Super Bowl. I had to send mine out of the room as soon as Jennifer Lopez took the stage in what looked like a two-sided thong and buttless chaps. The camerawork was outrageously gross, zooming in on Lopez's barely covered crotch, so close

Mitt Romney didn’t want to go through with it. “This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my life,” he told me yesterday afternoon in his Senate office. Roughly 24 hours later, Romney would deliver a speech announcing that he was voting to convict President Donald Trump on the first article of impeachment—abuse of power.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night, ripping the president for his “Oprah moment” of awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to conservative talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh, who she described as a “virulent racist.” Ms. Ocasio-Cortez boycotted the president’s speech but responded to it in a 30-minute Instagram Live video, in which she claimed Mr. Limbaugh was beneath the award and questioned the authenticity of his reaction when he received the award in the middle of the address. “Him pretending to be surprised was such a joke that this has been news all day,”

Rep. Adam Schiff, the lead House impeachment manager, warned on Monday that if President Trump's dealings with Ukraine are not impeachable offenses, then nothing would stand in his way from attempting bolder power grabs -- going so far to claim Trump could use Alaska as a bargaining chip with "the Russians" for support in 2020.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize by two Swedish lawmakers. Thunberg, 17, captured global attention for leading a student strike in her home country of Sweden to raise awareness about climate change. Jens Holm and Hakan Svenneling, both members of Sweden's Left Party, argued that Thunberg’s international tour to combat climate change is worthy of the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. In nominating Thunberg, Holm and Svenneling said the teenager had “worked hard to make politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis.” They argued that reducing emissions and complying with the Paris Agreement is “an act of making peace.”
State of the Union address:

Pelosi just looks sad

Wow, that was one hell of a State of the Union Address. President Trump seized the center with a powerful, patriotic and utterly centrist speech. And then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reinforced his message with her oh-so-symbolic ripping up of the text. What, other than channeling the alienation of the Democratic base from the great American center, was she thinking? This was the very best of Trump — generous, bipartisan (with a few barbs) and good-spirited. He not only got congressional Democrats to stand and cheer, but he also credited the legislators in the room for working together across party lines to do right by America.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said on Tuesday that she wouldn't attend President Trump's State of the Union address, indicating that doing so would legitimize what she saw as lawless conduct under his administration."After much deliberation, I have decided that I will not use my presence at a state ceremony to normalize Trump’s lawless conduct & subversion of the Constitution," she tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. "None of this is normal, and I will not legitimize it. Consequently, I will not be attending the State of the Union."

It’s always a good time, but it’s never the “right time” to quit when you’re a smoker. You can always find a “reason” to keep doing it – “I still have a few left in this pack,” “I have a stressful week coming up,” etc. But the news of Rush Limbaugh’s diagnosis with advance lung cancer is as good a time as any to quit. If you smoke, call it a day. If you know someone who does, get on their case. It’s a cliché, but it’s also true: never quit quitting. Limbaugh’s shocking announcement Monday left fans stunned, wondering how to react to the announcement that a man

At least 138 people deported to El Salvador from the US in recent years were subsequently killed, Human Rights Watch says in a new report that comes as the Trump administration makes it harder for Central Americans to seek refuge here. A majority of the deaths documented by Human Rights Watch in the report being released Wednesday occurred less than a year after the deportees returned to El Salvador, and some within days.(Snip) The violence underscores the risk faced by people forced to return by US law that mandates deportation of non-citizens convicted of a range of crimes

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made a complete spectacle of herself Tuesday night, grimacing with disgust and muttering to herself as the president delivered his State of the Union Address. And in a bitterly divisive move after Trump completed the address, Pelosi petulantly tore up a print-out of the speech. The president and his nemesis got off to an awkward start when he either refused to shaker her hand, or didn’t notice that she had extended her hand. (Snip)Throughout the speech, Pelosi looked at times, bored, confused, and angry. She mumbled constantly to herself and shuffled the speech papers in front of her, which she glanced at from time to time.

Nikki van den Heever, a caucus precinct captain for former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, tried to talk down an Iowa woman who was incensed to find out — in real-time during a caucus after she’d signed a card supporting him — that the candidate is openly gay. “Are you saying that he has the same-sex partner? Pete?” the woman says in the clip, which was posted to both Twitter and Reddit early Tuesday morning. “Yes,” van den Heever responds. “Are you kidding?” the woman says, and upon being told Mayor Pete is married, says “Then I don’t want anybody like that in the White House.

As I was about to begin writing about the sun shining on President Trump's re-election efforts, a dark cloud passed over my Twitter feed announcing that Rush Limbaugh has advanced lung cancer and will be taking time off for medical treatment. What terrible news for the 30 million–plus weekly "Ditto-heads," faithful listeners to his daily three-hour commentary on news, politics, sports, and popular culture. Rush "made the complex understandable," as he liked to say, using irreverent humor to make his points. It was effortless for Rush, doing all of this with "half his brain tied behind his back."
