Up Schiff’s Creek

Original Article

Adam Schiff is starting to wear on his own. He may be the darling of leftwing cable news. But like a moth to a candle, the California congressman is sucked into the camera lights, without realizing how he is scorched and consumed. He hijacked the Democratic House impeachment effort and then did the same in the Senate. As the inspiration for the entire farce, he is the man most responsible for the ensuing damage to the country and his party. (Snip) But what will be the status of a post-impeachment Schiff, once the impeachment farce has lost its luster? Thanks in part to Schiff, President Trump is polling

The Republicans probably should hold a dinner in honor of Mr. Schiff's exceptional contributions to the party and the Trump re-election campaign. Memo to the dinner organizers -- Don't invite Schiff.

Schiff played the part assigned to him to perfection. As lunatic as it may seem to us, This impeachment farce was all carefully orchestrated, and their purpose of slimeing Trump in front of the MSM cameras was achieved. Schiff now qualifies for money laundering book deals, and star billing on MSNBC and CNN whenever he wishes.

Schiff will no doubt be reelected in his safe, probably gerrymandered, district. Just like Maxine Waters, another LA area representative who wins reelection easily. If Schiff runs for Senate, which he is rumored to be thinking about, he may draw a primary challenge because, let's face it, he is just too weird to get a lot of popular support.

Earlier today Senator Rand Paul delivered his remarks on impeachment from the Senate floor. During his remarks Senator Paul highlighted the real and present danger of allowing agents within government to plot against a sitting president. Senator Paul asks the same question he presented to Chief Justice John Roberts as the presiding officer (Snip) “Are you aware that House intelligence committee staffer Shawn Misko had a close relationship with Eric Ciaramella while at the National Security Council together; and are you aware -and how do you respond to- reports that Ciaramella and Misko may have worked together to plot impeaching the President before there were formal house impeachment proceedings?“

A key point of reference is ABC reporter Kendall Karson revealing the DNC came in and took over the tabulations of the Iowa Caucus result prior to this release. “One Democratic official I spoke to is being told that the DNC is “taking over” the accounting of results. The official said this that to their knowledge, this has never happened before.” (link) This is important because it highlights that The Club decided what partial results, from what locations, showing what outcomes, the Club wants to put forth. Put another way, the DNC is releasing a specific 62% of the result to generate a specific Iowa narrative. So what did they release:

President Trump told network anchors Tuesday that he thinks Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run against Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and “kick his ass” in the 2022 Democratic primary in New York. “I think she is going to kick his ass,” Mr. Trump predicted at a White House lunch that was otherwise off-the-record. The comment was reported by Fox News anchor Bret Baier. Mr. Schumer is up for reelection two years from now. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a freshman lawmaker who unseated veteran Rep. Joe Crowley, a former member of the House Democratic leadership team, in the party primary.

Sen. Susan Collins announced Tuesday she will vote to acquit President Trump in his impeachment trial, becoming the second moderate Republican standing behind the president and not to break with her party. The Maine Republican, who is up for reelection this year, said the Senate must consider what effect removing a duly elected president would have on the nation. Ms. Collins said the president’s July 25 phone call at the heart of the impeachment proceedings was “improper and demonstrated very poor judgment,” but she said there was conflicting evidence about the motives behind Mr. Trump’s request for a corruption probe

Regarding the failed impeachment of our president, I have a few observations. The Democrats led by the Hon. Adam B. Schiff charged President Trump with “abuse of power” and the risible charge of “obstruction of Congress.” The historically-minded reader will remember these charges as being what Republicans in the 1930s and in the 1960s quite properly called the New Deal and the Great Society, respectively. (Snip)Yet, if there is one senator who deserves an award for his performance, say, Jackass of the Year, it is Sen. Mitt Romney (Snip)Mr. Romney kept talking. He obviously enjoyed the drama.

Donald Trump has become the third president ever to be impeached, but he's not too worried about it. And according to the polling, he need not be. Since the House deposed the most damning of witnesses in its impeachment investigation in October, Trump's Gallup approval rating has risen by 10 points, from 39% to a personal record of 49%. And it seems that Gallup is no anomaly. In the past year, Trump's approval average calculated by RealClearPolitics has increased from under 41% to around 45%. The last time his approval average performed this consistently well was during his first 100 days in office, a grace period artificially boosting the favorability

The firm responsible for the app that caused delays in counting votes during Monday’s Iowa caucuses had a role in developing an outlet promoting Democratic propaganda outlets ahead of the 2020 election. Campaign consulting nonprofit ACRONYM owns Shadow Inc., a company that operates the app Democrats hoped would simplify the process of counting the votes in Iowa’s roughly 1,700 precincts. Officials across the state struggled to use the app, leaving the results of the caucuses in limbo. The Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses are being called a disaster, a nightmare, and an epic fail. In the subsequent round of finger-pointing, a consensus scapegoat has emerged — a mobile app paid for by the Iowa Democratic Party that was supposed to collect and report the results of Monday night’s vote. The app was reportedly developed in secret by a for-profit technology firm with the too-good-to-be-true name of Shadow, Inc. While little was previously known about the app, new revelations are quickly emerging, including the firm’s ties to Hillary Clinton. Iowa Democratic officials are denying that the app is to blame for the chaotic outcome of Monday’s caucuses.

On Wednesday the Democratic Party is scheduled to be removed from the life support system that has sustained it these past four years: the fraudulently and almost certainly illegally confected condition of Donald Trump being under a legal and ethical cloud. The wild aspersions about financial chicanery, misogyny, racism, rank ignorance, and incompetence, and the monstrous canard about “treason” with Russia, the Mueller investigation, and the spurious impeachment were all that the Trump-hating media needed to persuade the credulous, within the United States and throughout the world, that this was an aberrant president who was about to be led out of the Oval Office in handcuffs.

Schiff disagreed with the president’s lawyers, who argued that Trump’s actions were not criminal and should thus not be considered impeachable. He warned that they were setting a precedent that would only encourage Trump to pursue “unacceptable” actions if exonerated. “Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election,” he said. “Or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago personally and let Jared Kushner run the country, delegating to him the decision whether to go to war.”
