President Trump went after “Mini Mike” Bloomberg in a series of tweets early Sunday morning and suggested the former New York mayor would need to stand on a box during a Democratic presidential debate.“Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democrat Primary debate stage, and to have the right to stand on boxes, or a lift, during the debates,” the president posted on his Twitter account in the last of three postings about 5-foot-8 Michael Bloomberg. “This is sometimes done, but really not fair!”
Trump also took notice at the more than a quarter billion dollars that billionaire Bloomberg has spent on political advertising

Clothes and hair are option items of appearance. Height is not. Maybe his campaign staff should put together a focus group of males of below average height and ask if they think their size is an appropriate subject for public ridicule.

Bloomberg is 5'8"?
LOL! Maybe when he stands on one of his dining room chairs.
Mini-Mike is not a millimeter taller than 5'3" - - on his best day.

Mini Mike is so short the word height does not apply.
Mr. President. Bring Randy Newman (Short People) to one of your rallies. I'll buy 10 tickets right now.

#3, I wish the decency that you refer to would have been applied to Donald Trump when he was campaigning in 2016. I usually don't handle myself in a manner where if someone has wronged me, I display the same behavior back because that kind of cycle never ends. Especially in families. I guess, overall, these tweets don't lend favorably but I look at what has been tossed at Donald Trump, I see more restraint than I would have had. I am already disgusted with Mike Bloomberg's ads. He is running to take out Trump? I would probably take a look at Bloomberg's "height" too because what he stands for is a pile of heaping excrement. . .

Fair’s fair. They went and continue to go, after everything about President Trump. Orange Man. His hair. His hands. His body (never mind that he has to wear armor under his jacket). And on and on….
Bloomie will know he’s arrived when they do a balloon of him sitting on a potty. In the meantime, no whining...

If a little man doesn’t act like a big man, he is fair game. Bloomberg is small in many ways.

Thank you #5, spot on. Dude is exaggerating by a wide margin.
Or as the late great R. Lee Ermey once said: "5 foot 8?? I didn't know they stacked sheet that HIGH!"

The President makes me very uncomfortable when he does this, and he does make me cringe sometimes. There are a thousand reasons to dislike Bloomberg without going after something he cant help.

#14. Bloomberg deserves this punishment. He's a control freak that makes me cringe. "Little" Mike suits him.

Mini-Mike also has the whiniest nasally voice I have ever heard on a grown man - like nails on a chalkboard. I just cannot imagine him talking to foreign leaders and being taken seriously. He's got the male version of Hagzilla's screech.
Little man, little voice, little ideas.

Some apparently forget that they weren’t really talking about his hand size. That’s pretty personal and snarky. More so than height, I’d say.

I’m no fan of Bloomberg but his retort should be ‘I lol measure my stack of billions against yours anytime.’ I like Trumps ideas but not his personality.

No,...Mr. President, don't call him "Mini Mike". Compare him with Napoleon. Little Mikey wants to be Naploen. He wants to rule the world and control everything everyone does. He especially wants to control what people consume. And he definitely has a Napoleon complex!

I have to agree with many posters here BUT this is a war.
We want him to act presidential. What does that look like ?? Like Bill Clinton in the White House ? Like GWB ? They called him every name in the book. He took it all without comment. To the casual observer WHO ALSO VOTES, he didn’t deny that he was a liar so therefore he must be. That gave us Barack Obama. We know how presidential he acted with visitors to the White House that wear ankle bracelets. An administration that was incredibly corrupt. A president that acted like a common thug.
Donald Trump is going to hit back twice as hard as he is hit. The way he is being treated is a warning to republicans in the future. Democrats will treat them just like Trump. That will stop more than a few from running for higher office. That is the plan.
The president’s minor children have always been off limits. When republicans criticized Obama’s daughters, they were called out by other republicans. Which democrats have called out democrats that are attacking Barron Trump ?
Trump is giving as he is receiving. We are in a war. We need to remember that.

He saw the colossal weakness of the democratic field and decided to take the plunge. Too bad. The only thing big about Mike is his ego.

In 2016 there was planty of outrage over his tweets but now they're just funny. Yeah, it's locker room stuff but it drew out the RINOs like Racoons going after bacon. Romney, Kasich, Marco, McCain have all proven to be thin skinned and dishonest.

#14, Bloomberg’s spokesperson hit back at Trump, calling him fat. I thought fat-shaming was a thing.

Both New Yorkers, Trump and Bloomberg go back together many years, I presume, and even worked together, a lot. Better to critiize Bllomberg for his policies and campaign and avoid the personal attacks.
Regardless, Trump gets my vote in November.
