Trump taunts ‘Mini Mike’
Bloomberg’s height

President Trump went after “Mini Mike” Bloomberg in a series of tweets early Sunday morning and suggested the former New York mayor would need to stand on a box during a Democratic presidential debate.“Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democrat Primary debate stage, and to have the right to stand on boxes, or a lift, during the debates,” the president posted on his Twitter account in the last of three postings about 5-foot-8 Michael Bloomberg. “This is sometimes done, but really not fair!” Trump also took notice at the more than a quarter billion dollars that billionaire Bloomberg has spent on political advertising

Clothes and hair are option items of appearance. Height is not. Maybe his campaign staff should put together a focus group of males of below average height and ask if they think their size is an appropriate subject for public ridicule.

#3, I wish the decency that you refer to would have been applied to Donald Trump when he was campaigning in 2016. I usually don't handle myself in a manner where if someone has wronged me, I display the same behavior back because that kind of cycle never ends. Especially in families. I guess, overall, these tweets don't lend favorably but I look at what has been tossed at Donald Trump, I see more restraint than I would have had. I am already disgusted with Mike Bloomberg's ads. He is running to take out Trump? I would probably take a look at Bloomberg's "height" too because what he stands for is a pile of heaping excrement. . .

Mini-Mike also has the whiniest nasally voice I have ever heard on a grown man - like nails on a chalkboard. I just cannot imagine him talking to foreign leaders and being taken seriously. He's got the male version of Hagzilla's screech. Little man, little voice, little ideas.

I have to agree with many posters here BUT this is a war. We want him to act presidential. What does that look like ?? Like Bill Clinton in the White House ? Like GWB ? They called him every name in the book. He took it all without comment. To the casual observer WHO ALSO VOTES, he didn’t deny that he was a liar so therefore he must be. That gave us Barack Obama. We know how presidential he acted with visitors to the White House that wear ankle bracelets. An administration that was incredibly corrupt. A president that acted like a common thug. Donald Trump is going to hit back twice as hard as he is hit. The way he is being treated is a warning to republicans in the future. Democrats will treat them just like Trump. That will stop more than a few from running for higher office. That is the plan. The president’s minor children have always been off limits. When republicans criticized Obama’s daughters, they were called out by other republicans. Which democrats have called out democrats that are attacking Barron Trump ? Trump is giving as he is receiving. We are in a war. We need to remember that.

Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) closed his side’s argument for the removal of President Donald Trump with a rambling rhetorical assault on the president.Unwittingly, perhaps, Schiff’s valediction recalled the Army-McCarthy hearings, when lawyer Joseph Welch finally put an end to the overly intrusive investigations of Sen. Joe McCarthy (R-WI) into alleged communist influence in the U.S. government. “You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?” Welch said. Schiff defended the investigative process in the House of Representatives, and declared:

Schiff disagreed with the president’s lawyers, who argued that Trump’s actions were not criminal and should thus not be considered impeachable. He warned that they were setting a precedent that would only encourage Trump to pursue “unacceptable” actions if exonerated. “Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election,” he said. “Or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago personally and let Jared Kushner run the country, delegating to him the decision whether to go to war.”

If Steve Bannon is correct (and I think he probably is), Michael Bloomberg has no intention of occupying the Oval Office; his real plan is far more devious and frightening. Bloomberg is investing a small fraction of his fortune (Bannon says it is now $70 billion) in a “leveraged buyout” of the party, installing himself as the oligarch who calls the shots, including the selection of the candidate to win the presidency. Forget the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on the “Mike will get it done” ads saturating the airwaves and the Super Bowl ad touting gun control.

Tax season kicked off Monday, and the biggest question on most taxpayers’ minds is how quickly they will get their refunds. Receiving a refund can normally take up to six weeks, but staffing issues at the agency might make that turnaround time much longer. Customer service is a big part of making tax seasons successful, and the Internal Revenue Service is one of the lowest-scoring agencies in that area, according to the Taxpayer Advocate Service annual report to Congress for 2019. Budget cuts are a contributing factor to the IRS’s poor customer service — it's harder to garner more hires with less money. Agency head count has fallen by 20%

Nobody elected John Bolton to anything. That reality is at the core of what appeared to frustrate Mr. Bolton and numerous other senior presidential aides during my time working in the West Wing for President Trump. As a staffer, if you have a policy disagreement with the president, you have two options: You either subordinate your views to his and fulfill his wishes — or you quit. That does not mean you shy away from making your case behind closed doors — and in my experience the president encouraged dissenting views — but once the president makes a decision, it is your job to execute it
