Jerry Nadler: Our Case ‘Proven
Beyond Any Doubt at All’

Original Article

House impeachment manager Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) repeatedly told the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump on Wednesday night that the House case was “proven beyond any doubt at all.”Nadler’s odd, and repeated, claim seemed to undermine claims by Democrats that they needed to see more witnesses and documents in the trial. The House Judiciary Committee chairman played an unusually understated role in the first day of the question-and-answer session in the Senate. Republicans have asked that if Democrats are so confident in their case

Right Nadless one. The calls for impeachment predate the grounds de jour. As one reason after another is disproved despite adamant insistence on its veracity on your part and your merry band of misfits, another accusation rises like a phoenix to take its place. The only constant is the presumption that there must be something impeachable. The call for impeachment lives on as one certainty after another runs off like a cockroach when the light is turned on. So Jerry, I hope you can understand why you have negative credibility. Yes negative, not only have you proven to be full of Shiff, through the human survival skill of pattern recognition, we can bet that whatever you say is the polar opposite of the truth.

I want to know if the question and answer session is as spontaneous as we have been led to believe. Yesterday Nadler and other Managers went up to the podium with PRE-WRITTEN answers to questions. They kept their head down and clearly read their entire responses. Did they know the questions in advance? I think a few Managers showed slides which HAD TO have been pre-arranged with someone so the Senate could view them. Trump's defense never once read answers drafted in advance. They just went to the podium sans any notes at all and simply answered the questions. Reading notes is one thing. Reading pre-written notes is another.

Earlier commenter asks a great question. If they have this in the bag like they claim, why do they need more witnesses? They didn't do the job in the House in the first place, now they expect the Senate to clean up their mess and finish what they themselves failed to do. This whole Senate trial is a do over for them and I think the Senators know that by now. This has been one of the biggest embarrassments of Pelosi's tenure, and her legacy is going to be pretty much at the level of Obama's.

The dimocrats have an agenda here. If they can call witnesses here, they can freeze all senate actions, including voting on judicial nominees. The freeze could last for several months, as witnesses are first deposed, and then testify. DJT would be stopped completely, for judicial appointments. And when DJT is elected to a second term, the dimocrats will complain that is was not a valid election, because the four foulbrained senators were unable to campaign. And if Chief Judas John Roberts refuses to rule on witnesses, the dimocrats could appeal his decision to the federal courts, and delay and freeze the senate. And when the U.S. Supreme Court rules against the dimocrats, they will claim that DJT has corrupted the Court. Schiff Head has chosen to stand in the spotlight, pushing Nadler aside. That should embarrass the dimocrats, but will not.

Rats really are like their vermin brothers. They keep coming until you decide to be tougher than they are. They know they are lying, but they don't care because they are certain their twitter base of willfully ignorant, emotional, hateful followers will believe it. ONLY a determined, forceful, continuous and overwhelming push back from Republicans will get the rats/media to dial it back slightly. When they have to say the same things under oath, like schiff, they hide or they misspoke or don't remember or plead the 5th. I wish someone besides the President would go after these cowards. A few are finally joining the battle. Some of the House Republicans can have a bright future, based on the way they attacked the rat coup. It would not take that many to force the Deep State rats to taste justice. Now IF the right could start a network or many more cable/internet shows that lay out, refute and destroy the rat brainwashing, perhaps otherwise reasonable people would understand just how far they have been misled.

IMO, the dems don't want witnesses. The GOP can call witnesses who will blow the dem scheme and expose the participants malfeasance. The dems just want to blame the GOP for a "coverup". I'd make a small wager that if there are not enough GOP votes against witnesses a dem (Manchin) or two will flip to prevent them

Mitt Romney is stoking suspicions that he is eyeing a third White House bid in 2024 after the Utah Republican broke with his party and insisted on witnesses at President Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate. Along with centrist Susan Collins of Maine, Romney was one of just two Senate Republicans to join the Democrats in a failed vote to subpoena fresh testimony. The 2012 Republican presidential nominee might yet acquit Trump on two articles alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but consistent criticism of Trump throughout impeachment, a GOP rarity, capped by support for witnesses has some Republicans convinced Romney is jockeying to reclaim the party.

Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) made a bizarre announcement at a campaign stop in Iowa last Sunday, telling the crowd that, when she selects her cabinet, she’ll only consider candidates for the Secretary of Education who have taught in public schools, and the final candidate will only take office after passing an interview with a “young trans person.”One of the attendees at Warren’s weekend stop in Cedar Rapids asked the Massachusetts Senator and hopeful 2020 Democratic presidential nominee whether she would support more education on LGBT and transgender issues for school-aged children. In response, Warren suggested that LGBT and transgender issues

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted photos of a briefing he'd received on the new coronavirus spreading out of China. "We will continue to monitor the ongoing developments," the President said in his post. "We have the best experts anywhere in the world, and they are on top of it 24/7!" Who are these experts? They're largely the same sorts of white men (and a couple women on the sidelines) who've dominated the Trump administration from the very beginning.

I It was the late 1880s in the city of Rajkot, India. The meeting was to take place on the banks of the local river – and discretion was essential. Mahatma Gandhi, who was just a teenager at the time, hadn’t told his parents where he was going; if they had found out, they would have been shocked to death. As it happens, Gandhi was having a picnic. And on this occasion, India’s future national hero – and one of the most famous vegetarians in history – wasn’t planning to dine on cucumber sandwiches. No, for the first time in his life, he was going to eat meat.

His knowledge of the law… his passion… his articulateness. His sincerity!” Barbra Streisand said, pouring praise on the partisan lawmaker. “He speaks the truth and would make a great president.” (Tweet) Babs may want to pomp the breaks because as it stands, only 27 percent of America has a positive opinion of Rep. Schiff according to YouGov data.

One year after filing for bankruptcy, PG&E has worked out deals to borrow money and guarantee more than $25 billion in payouts to wildfire victims, insurers and local municipalities. It’s even come to terms with bondholders. As a result, its shares have skyrocketed 37 percent so far in January. Mizuho upgraded the stock this week to a “buy.” That optimism may be premature. (Snip) And he kept repeating this threat: “There’s going to be a new company or the state of California takes it over.” Newsom revealed he’s been working on a plan for six months to take over the

Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, one of the House impeachment managers, argued Thursday that Democrats’ hiring of a former British spy to collect dirt from Russian sources about the Trump campaign does not constitute foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election. The New York congressman’s argument was based on the puzzling logic that Democrats paid for the information from the retired spy, Christopher Steele, rather than simply obtaining it.“The analogy is not applicable to the present situation

There's a great line from the movie I, Robot that often springs to mind when it comes to politicians. (snip) "You are the dumbest smart person I know!" "Dumbest smart person" should be engraved on an award. Mitt Romney and the three other Republicans considering calling witnesses in President Trump's impeachment trial would be the final four. Clearly, Romney, Collins, Murkowski, and Alexander are all smart people. They're successful. They've managed to get elected to the Senate. Romney himself is a near-billionaire in his own right. But they are willfully blind to the obvious-to-everyone-else tactics of the Democrats.

The Senate Friday voted to usher in the end of President Trump’s impeachment trial by rejecting a motion to call for additional witnesses and documents. Two Republicans joined 47 Democrats to vote in favor of calling for the additional evidence. The motion fell short by two votes, ending the case House Impeachment managers have been presenting for the past two weeks. The Senate now moves into the final phase of the trial, which could last a few days longer to allow senators to deliberate and give speeches before holding final votes.
