The first sentence of the New York Times report on John Bolton’s tell-all memoir about his time in the Trump White House contains a bombshell — but not the one that everybody thinks. The real revelation is that it suggests that President Trump is innocent of the charges on which Democrats are trying to impeach him.
Maggie Haberman and Michael Schmidt reported on Sunday that Trump ‘wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton.’

He was not popular to start with. Now he’s being called the “Julie Swetnick of the impeachment”. Everyone remembers the pathetic woman Avenatti dragged out during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing. Being likened to her is not a good thing.
Whether the American approve of every thing about our President - they would change this little thing or that - they see that he is all for US and the positive changes he has made in our country in just three years. Bolton looks like a creepy little guy, a nobody, who was given a chance by the President, a job he really craved, and failed. So now he is retaliating. It will not come out well for him.

He has been a disappointment. I hope he is personally humiliated and politically destroyed.

I would like to hear from a reliable source about what Bolton says. The NY Times is not a reliable, or honest source. We have seen how many times they have published false stories. I never take their word for anything.

So, if the President was interested in investigating the Democrats including the Bidens, if we get to witnesses, shouldn't more Democrats than just the Bidens be put on the stand? Sounds good to me!

#3 I agree. The reports I’ve seen are that no one at the NYT has even seen the manuscript and are not quoting from it directly. Their info is coming from a leaker on the NSC. Probably Vindman’s brother who is reviewing the manuscript for security clearance. The treachery continues.

He is definitely trying to cause trouble. And hinting that he has a 'bombshell' is too cute by half. I've 'wanted' to punch Schiff in the face for three years, but until I actually do it, they can't lock me up.

No one has seen the Bolton manuscript. More hearsay. Doubtless reworked or at least tweaked to fit the impeachers’ narrative.
Many of us did not know enough about Bolton.
FTA:
Bolton is no friend to President Trump or to the America First cause that got Trump elected in 2016. He is the antithesis of what Trump campaigned on: he personifies the hawkish ideologues in the Republican party who start wars they can’t win and continually cry out for more interventions. Like many an Iraq war enthusiast, Bolton is enjoying a reputational inversion thanks to liberals’ Trump derangement: long a stock villain, he’s now become a hero to the resistance. His role in whipping up the Iraq invasion is forgiven and forgotten — including the time he threatened the family of a Brazilian diplomat at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons who refused to go along the Bush administration’s case for war. ‘You have 24 hours to leave the organization, and if you don’t comply with this decision by Washington, we have ways to retaliate against you,’ Bolton told him. ‘We know where your kids live. You have two sons in New York.’ This is the man Democrats now lionize.
Bolton wants to stop the foreign policy that Trump promised at any cost. He impeded it from within the administration, and now he aims to win attention — and lucrative book sales — by sabotaging Trump in the midst of his Senate trial. But Bolton’s own account, as it has been reported so far, does not back up the Democrats’ charges. This is just another war in which Bolton can add to the general misery while enriching himself, and still not win.
Maybe that will enlighten a bit… Someone last night characterized him as “Bomb first. Talk later."

Bolton should step forward (Hannity invited him to do so on his program - apparently they know each other) and clear the air. And now.

By the end of the week, Bolton will have been added to Don Surber’s Trumpenfreude List.

Loads of people have been fired by Donald Trump ... in business, on television, and now in government (although that number should be higher). It's his MO, and you know it going in. Working for him is high risk, high reward. And sometimes that's not a bad thing.
