We all know that from the moment he was elected the Left has intended to see President Trump impeached. (snip) his many successes have driven the Democrats to mass distraction. Their mission to see him removed from office became an obsession as their grief over Hillary's loss took root in their psyches. They have wanted revenge from day one.
But like all people who believe themselves to be smarter than those for whom they have only contempt, they planned badly. What began with the Clinton campaign and a few self-appointed commanders-in-chief in our once-premier law enforcement agencies quickly drew in fellow collaborators from around the world

Oh, but the mincing Mitt Romney wants to hear from new witnesses! I sincerely hope he spends eternity in a dog cage on top of a car being driven around Hell.

"should be over by Wednesday"
While I agree with the article, there is a couple days of defense and a couple days of questions left. Then there will be debate and a vote as to how to proceed. Then, if no witnesses, a vote on the evidence and acquittal. It will probably slip into at least Saturday and possibly next week.

I've tried to be fair and disabled adblockers for sites that offer quality content but when the ads dislodge or even obscure the text of the article the blocker gets reengaged.

#5, I don’t know what ad blocker you use, but I have 2 of them installed on my iPad and have no problem at all with American Thinker. I use both Weblock and Adblock.
When this is all over Schiffhead et al need to be put on trial with a list of about 100 different charges, then they should be sent to Gitmo.

And to think this joke is happening to keep the deep state, the msm, and hollywood happy. After the President's landslide win in November, I would imagine there will be mass destruction in the homes of the leftist Hollywood crowd and a large number of msm reporters on election night as they take revenge against their own homes. TDS is incurable.

Benedict Arnold may have been a traitor - - but unlike our current traitors - - he at least founded a bakery which makes very good Jewish rye bread. And it makes a nice sandwich - - a nice sandwich.

Meanwhile Fox reports on a poll that says over half of the people favor his work on the economy, but still want the Senate to remove him from office. What a bunch of bullSchiff.

It is a delicious irony that if the press were a little tougher on the Democrats, they would have better candidates. Trump has exposed their naked mediocrity. Obama was like a spoiled child daring anyone to discipline him, but instead they kept giving him candy. All things considered, I think Trump was pretty gentle with Hillary, who is clearly mentally and physically ill. The Democrats have kept as their leader a drunken old lady as Speaker who let degenerate partisans destroy her and the Democrats with this silly impeachment nonsense. The republicans had better embrace this opportunity to get rid of the sleaze and stench that is the deep state Democrat complex.

What concerns me is that not only is this an assault on President Trump, but it is a direct attack on our constitution. It has effectively changed the meaning of "high crimes and misdemeanors" to "We just don't like you." This cannot stand. As some pundits have noted, it lowers the bar for impeachment. Remember, impeachment can be used against any elected official. Impeachment must remain a last resort for disciplining an elected official. Something must be done, other than acquittal, to rein in the political motivation of this impeachment.

Wow that's some trial alright: Besides there being no witnesses, there are also no accusers(whistleblower), no victims(Bidens). Listening to democrats take turns spewing hate for Mr Trump for very subjective reasons for hours on end is not trial but is more like a jester's court, a big joke.

The WH team offered case law and facts. The House managers asked us to believe that they can read peoples' minds. This is not a difficult choice.

Yesterday, along with 20 to 30 patriots, this week’s Pro-Trump demonstration in Clearwater also attracted a couple of truly nasty individuals expressing their hatred of Donald Trump and anyone speaking out on the president’s behalf. One young man brought his filthy mouth and an anti-Trump sign; another, a woman walking her dog, angrily voiced her equally obscene objections. However, neither had anything constructive to say to us or for themselves. We can count on 2020 producing an unfortunate election for our divided country, which could easily turn violent. --Veterans for Trump 2020.

FTA: When the history of this attempted coup is written, all those who participated in this monstrous crime will be forever known as the Benedict Arnolds of the early 21st century.
That is grossly unfair. To Benedict Arnold. Arnold was critical to the victory at Saratoga; he was twice badly wounded in the defense of his country. Arnold was a hero and a patriot before he was a traitor. When were any of those deranged Democrats ever heroes or patriots?

The democrats did NOT present "Articles of Impeachment" - they presented "ARTICLES OF ASSUMPTION"
