President Trump is angry that his lawyers will be starting their defense in the Senate on Saturday when no one would be watching television. "After having been treated unbelievably unfairly in the House, and then having to endure hour after hour of lies, fraud & deception by Shifty Schiff, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer & their crew," the president said Friday on Twitter. "Looks like my lawyers will be forced to start on Saturday, which is called Death Valley in T.V." (Tweet) President Trump is angry that his lawyers will be starting their defense in the Senate on Saturday when no one would be watching television.

Mr. President... the only audience that matters is the Senate... a quick defense will be best as a sharp contrast to the "garbage" the dems are pushing. Senators are ready to vote - make it clear, quick and concise - this will be over at this time next week and it will have a couple of dem defections too.

Re#1. LOL..... Im not watching for sanity's sake. Although I may tune in to watch the defense destroy the prosecution.
I would open with the audio/video of Biden bragging about his quid pro quo followed by videos of every democrat demanding impeachment to stop Trump's re-election.

Attention;
MAGA citizens.
Let's make this Saturday's Republican day 1 response the most watched day of this treasonous farce by the Marxist Communist democrats to show the MCDs who America really belongs too, MAGA. Let's rub it into their faces until they are scratched and bruised. They deserve everything that can legally be done to them for being the treasonous Marxists they are.

Don’t worry, Mr. President. Those of us who would rather have a root canal than watch the dem prosecution circus will tune in to watch your defense. You’re going to be surprised at the spike in ratings. It’s going to be YUGE. Count on it.

I''m almost ashamed to admit how many TVs I have; however I am proud to admit every single one will be on all weekend listening raptly to the defense of our President.

Trump's not wrong. The Dums got the whole week to make their case. His opening defense then gets buried on the weekend. Cocaine Mitch screwed him on this one.

Weekdays are filled with lefty tv news spin, the criminal Old Media bastids will be impotent over the weekend.
Republicans will be freer to present their case on the weekend, nobody outside the Senate will be watching whatever day it is.

The weekend would be the perfect cover to vote to dismiss this entire circus. Better yet, have the vote first thing on Monday morning so the dims and msm have a full week ahead to stew in their own fat.

I do want to hear the defense destroy the democrats. I suspect that there will be plenty of hilarious moments, as we watch the faces of the sour democrats. I wonder how many of them will get up and leave, like DiFi did? That should be highly publicized, with cameras following them out the door!

Nobody's watching the dems lie for hours, yet the polls say the American people overwhelmingly support calling more witnesses. Go figure! I agree with Poster #5.

The President's lawyers should offer to defer their remarks until Monday even if it costs them 8 of their 24 hours.

Wellllll . . . DUH! Did the president REALLY think the enemy (GOPe Senators and media) would give him a fair trial? That's rather shortsighted and naive of you there, Mr. President!

Nobody will devote their time to listen to the two buffoons, Schiff and Nadler, in the senate even Dianne Feinstein left the gallery to go change her Depends and sleep she already knows how she's going to vote.
What's important is the Republican Senators better be listening to President Trump's counselors. If they break from the party and give the appearance of bi-partisanship McConnell better pay attention. This is about dragging this out with witnesses and the stupidity displayed in the Senate by the buffoonish nitwits on the left.

You can always support the ratings by turning the TV on and leaving the room. The only good part is that the Senate will be forced to work longer than three days this week.

On Steve Bannon's excellent War Room Impeachment podcast/TV show - 9:00 a.m. on Newsmax, they thought it was great that it would be on Saturday. Hardworking people can't watch during the week, but will be home on the weekend to see the Republican defense. Anything would be better than Leland and Arthel anyway.

He isn't wrong, really. But only the most devoted partisans could have watched much of the Democrat case.

Well you would figure that the Republican geniuses running the US Senate would have been able to figure that out without the President having to essentially call them out. Those supposed political geniuses still have time to do the right thing.

#1 nails it. NOBODY is watching any of this garbage. We all just want this OVER, and to get back to normal things.
This insane clown show was never serious, and just needs to be gotten PAST.

Poster #1 nailed it. I'm delighted the three evil networks are losing tons of advertising dollars by carry this nonsense. I still can imagine what they will do when President Trump is vindicated.

I did not watch the Schiff show but I will watch Trumps team tomorrow. Is anyone surprised? The dems impeached Trump on the day he gave his UN speech, they had their hearings every time he was over seas, they had one last day at the same time Trump was speaking at the Pro Life Rally , They made a choice to end on Friday so Trump's team would have Saturday...Cheer up Trump the Schiff, Nadler ratings were lower than the food network...My guess is the Saturday rating will be out of sight!
