A trio of toughs stormed a Brooklyn Chinese take-out restaurant and pelted workers with brooms and soda cans, police said Thursday. The wild caught-on-video fracas began outside Mr. King Asian Fusion on Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 8 p.m. Dec. 27 and escalated into a brawl inside the restaurant. The trio—two men and a woman—burst into the store, with one of the men swinging a broom at a worker while he tries to fight back against his assailants, cops said. Then the video shows the woman taking soda cans from a fridge and flinging them at workers

Feeling disrespected? Launch a violent attack is the first reaction. Can posting of "We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone" signs be far behind?

Now, how in the h3ll did I know their race before I saw the video? And people say "they don't commit a larger percentage of crime," law enforcement just picks on them. Bull. I respect many many blacks, and then you have the wild lawless ones.

Ugandan climate activist Vanessa Nakate has called out racism in media after she was cropped out of a photo featuring prominent climate activists including Greta Thunberg, Loukina Tille, Luisa Neubauer and Isabelle Axelsson. Nakate made the comment in a video which has since gone viral, adding that she now understood “the definition of the word racism” for the first time in her life. The group had given a news conference in Davos on Friday when Nakate was then cropped out of a published version by the Associated Press, a US news agency. The state attorney general is ordering all New Jersey police to stop using a powerful new facial-recognition technology that’s pulling millions of photos from social media. The order was issued Friday to county prosecutors, concerning a New York-based company called Clearview AI. “Like many people, I was troubled,” state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said about the company’s techniques, which were first reported by The New York Times. Clearview promotes itself as an effective way to track down dangerous people. It takes partial credit for the recent arrests in New Jersey of 19 men who police say tried to lure children for sex.

As the drama of Harry and Meghan unfolds, it becomes ever clearer that Harry is not a figure of tragedy, but of self-interested hypocrisy. The prince is not only dull, but the cause of dullness in others, more a figure of betrayal than of sacrifice. The psycho-drama of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is one of spoiled individuals shedding crocodile tears over their fate. In his final speech on January 18, 2020 in London, Harry delivered what was in essence an address about himself, mentioning as always the impact of his mother Diana on him but never mentioning his father, Prince Charles, who has been financing him.
