Many people are becoming aware the Senate impeachment trial is an exercise in politics, nothing more. The votes are already decided; the trial is simply a pantomime.
To highlight the point, Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, simply walked out during the trial when Adam Schiff was testifying; said “goodnight” and just went home.
Washington Post congressional reporter Paul Kane noted :(WaPo) Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) walked out of the Senate chamber, said “good night” to two reporters standing nearby, and left the Capitol. Senators are expected to stay in the chamber for the entirety of the arguments. (link)

Obviously her desire to drink was greater than her desire to stay for the trial. The first thing she did when she got home was to hit the freezer and pull out that nice cold bottle of vodka and make a double screwdriver.

Every Republican senator should have done the same.

#4 - I doubt DiFi waited until she got home. She probably hit the sauce in the car as she was driven home, preceded by a snort in the cloakroom as she was putting on her coat.

Maybe Feinstein had to change her diaper. Perhaps she was full of Schiff.

If I were a senator, there is no way you could make me sit there and listen to Adam Schiff. I would be out of there in a flash at the first hyperbolic lie.

I don't care much about what Diane Feinstein does, however a woman her age should not be sitting in a chair for 16 hours.

I keep hearing that the senators running for president HAVE to attend the impeachment trial yet DiFi can leave early without consequence? How does that work?

This is curious. I find it most interesting and I look forward to seeing which news outlets report it and how they spin it.
Were a Republican to leave I think he or she would be interviewed immediately.

Feinstein's Depends had reached it's capacity load it was time to leave. The old biddy should know a sham in progress since she pulled one in the Kavanaugh hearing good night Irene. They all know how they are going to vote so why hang around to hear the likes of the Schiff and Nadler comedy cornball show.

Feinstein is a Democrat, so she can do as she wishes. Can you imagine the response of the fake media if a wimpy Republican Senator did the same?

I thought that Senators were required to sit and listen to the entire presentation? Maybe, maybe not. But now that DiFi has set the precedent, the entire GOP delegation should just get up and walk out in the middle of Schiff and Nadler's incessant belching and farting.

The Schiff show is getting tedious. Feinstein has already decided how she will vote, and doesn't need to stay for the final act. What percentage of the Senators have already decided how they will vote? Its over 90%. The remaining Senators are still trying to figure out what they could get away with, and what are the consequences. It has nothing to do with testimony. McConnell could have a vote today, and another after two weeks of testimony. The results would be exactly the same.

Isn't she a part of the jury.?
Can jurors just walk out while trial testimony is being given?
Now I agree with others here. I wouldn't ant to have to listen to Schiff lie his butt off either, and we do know how DIFI will vote,
but should she be allowed to vote if she hasn't been there for the full trial?

Shouldn't Chief Judas John Roberts cite her for Contempt?? Or will he admonish both sides to not walk out?
I will compliment Roberts for making it this far without having a grand mal seizure.
