People close to Robert Mueller believe "something happened" to the former special counsel over the course of his two-year Russia investigation, according to a reporter.
The Washington Post's Carol Leonnig, who is the co-author of the new book A Very Stable Genius about President Trump, described on Tuesday how difficult it was for some of Mueller's close family friends to watch his shaky testimony before Congress last summer.
“Phil [Rucker] and I, my co-author, we are not medical professionals, but over and over again, John, we heard from people who are very close to Bob Mueller who found him a different person, a changed person, after two years of this investigation,”
A changed person eh? The most delicious part of that dog's breakfast was the obvious fact that Mueller hadn't read his own report. Republicans in Congress and media need to rethink their Q&A strategy and instead of asking for opinions and conclusions and ask the subject of an interview some basic factual questions. It will quickly be revealed that the subject knows nothing about that which they claim to care.

Yes, he must have finally recognized that by participating in that fiasco, he had thrown away a reputation earned over a lifetime.

No, the left and their accomplices in the press manufactured this myth about Robert Mueller being this larger-than-life legend and "stellar" reputation only so that they could exploit it to bring legitimacy to their sham investigation. It was a classic case of group think. They all kept telling each other the same thing over-and-over again, then when they made him actually testify in public concerning "his" report, they pulled back the curtain on their fraud for all to see.

A lifetime of being a so k-puppet for his superiors finally caught up with him. And when I say superiors, I'm not talking about DOJ chain of command, I'm talking about who really owned this donkey-butt.

Robert Mueller was never anything more than the "Face" of the investigation. Another tool of the Left.

Leave it to a Wapo writer to offer medical observations about someone, based on other non-medical peoples' observations. Why, they could almost commit one to a mental hospital, they are so astute!

If Mueller was a "boy scout" he would have shut down the investigation after a few months when it became obvious that there was no there, there. Mueller's team insisted that Mueller had no problems and the dems are the ones who insisted he testify. They are the ones who embarrassed him. Mueller's lawfare Leftist team pushed the "investigation" into partisan propaganda and then demanded that an incapable Mueller sell something he obviously did not even understand.
AG Barr DID understand what the "investigation" had become and made it clear to Mueller that the report better be based on facts and law. Barr effectively road blocked the out of control lawfare group and a hapless Mueller was stuck in the middle. I do feel a bit sorry for Mueller but he accepted the position and the people that surrounded him let him do it. A drunk driver may not have decided to kill someone in a car crash but they DID decide to drink to excess and they are responsible. Their friends and associates didn't take away his keys and they share responsibility. Mueller is the the drunk driver after the fatal crash; responsible but pitiable for the weight that will fall on him.

What a joke. Mueller was a waste of time and a tactic used to block investigation of the real criminals in the FBI and CIA for Trumps first two years. The left and conspirators just think the dust has settled but after 2020 election President Trump and the AG/DOJ will hit the ground running. It's not over yet and I feel nothing for Mueller because he's part of the gang that won't shoot straight.

After reading this article it is conceivable that the leftist and liberal Democrats will demand a redo of the Mueller investigation, as to them it is no doubt perfectly clear that they were hoodwinked again by a Republican Justice Department that appointed Mueller, supposedly a Republican, as Special Counsel.

Is the point of the article that Herr Mueller's fetid report should be redone by some other special counsel? or that Herr Mueller's staff didn't notice his mental acuity slipping? Or did? And remained silent??
How about heaping some blame on Nasty Nadler and the dimocrats on the House Judiciary committee? They were so desperate for people to pay attention to the Mueller report that they dragged him before the committee, knowing full well that he was a befuddled old man.

Nothing happened to him.
What happened was that he went looking for the snipe. And did not find the snipe. Instead he got sniped by Strozk and his mistress. And pilloried in the media, where it was learned he had not read his own report.
He managed to spend a lot of public money, though. That deserves some sort of prize.
He joins Dan Rather in the great "I know that story is true" Valhalla.

The FBI's Peter Principle candidate managed to escape detection for a long time. Since they almost unanimously played dirty throughout their careers, Mueller managed to hide his actions, corruption and incompetence. When you dance with the Devil you will get your toes stepped upon and your hands dirty.

The "Bob Mueller as Boy Scout" is at serious odds with the record of facts. That he is a shaky old man, is just how it is. But he is NOT any sort of a paragon, he is just another corrupt FBI leader.

His weakness was on display. The first time he had ever had to present himself in public?
Or maybe he’s getting those end-of-life feelings about all of the wrongs he’s committed and having to account for them to a Higher Authority?

Mueller was a career bully and thug, who thought nothing of sacrificing innocent people to achieve his own agenda. He had his eye on the big prize which was being director of the FBI, and nothing was going to stop him, not even an innocent man or teenager.
My own personal view is, that since Trump most likely was elected with Divine help, maybe his two years of hounding and bullying innocent men to get to Trump is being punished by that Divine source for his bullying an innocent man/men. Eventually, conscience comes into play, and just maybe all the innocent people he has ruined during the course of his career up the ladder, combined with being Hildebeest's minion, has finally taken its toll. Mr. Mueller has a lot to answer for on judgment day, and it is going to suck to be him. When one lives one's life by lying to achieve personal goals, at the expense of other people, it adds up. Some people cannot stand up to the load forever. Something has got to give. He needs to be held accountable simply for all the corrupt precedents he set in the legal system. We know that those are going to trickle down to the local level and appeal to a multitude of politically ambitious DA's.

Perhaps the dems are promoting the story that Mueller wasn't mentally competent during the investigation so that they can call for a do-over, since this impeachment and removal will fail.

A dirty, corrupt, cop became even dirtier and more corrupt. Is that the change they are talking about? I hope Robert understands that only a FULL confession to all of his moral and legal crimes will bring him any kind of absolution. He is pretty old, he should spill his secrets before it is too late.
