The New York Times Never Disappoints!

Original Article

There’s a joke from way back in the 1980s about how the major media would report the announcement that the world is going to end tomorrow. The Wall Street Journal’s headline would say, “World Ending Tomorrow; Markets to Close Early.” USA Today’s headline would say, “World Ending Tomorrow, but We’ll Grin and Bear It.” And the New York Times headline would say: “World Ending Tomorrow: Women and Minorities Hardest Hit.”(Snip for graphic)Meanwhile, the Times has announced its endorsement for president. Big surprise: they have endorsed a Democrat. As they have for the last 50+ years. But wait—they’ve actually endorsed two Democrats: Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren.

Doesn't that imply that it takes two women to equal one man? Rather sexist of them isn't it? Or worse does it mean that all women are the same so it doesn't matter which one you pick? Wow now that is really sexist.

So lying about your heritage to game the system is ok, but holding up US money to another country for a few days to see that they are not stealing it is impeachable. Got it.

I don't remember the NYT's old mission statement but whatever it was has long been forgotten. Now it's something like, "If you can make it up, we can print it." Except for that insufferable puppet, Brooks, it sounds like their staff is made up of psychos, millenial rejects, foreign agents and a couple of lesbians who hang those pink hats on the hatrack when they come to work in the mid-morning.

Not surprised, especially by the timing. The whole purpose of the NYT endorsement is to undercut Bernie, in the same way they undercut Howard Dean in 2004. But in pushing Sander's votes to Warren in Iowa, they're still keeping their powder dry for a Biden endorsement down the road, hence the Klobuchar mention. Klobuchar could end up as a VP choice for Sanders.

The NYT has to admit that the Democrat choices are so bad that they are virtually interchangeable. And being "The Gray Lady", they naturally default to the only remaining gray ladies.

The NY Slimes has its audience, and so did the "Reverend" Jim Jones. Saying Liz Warren is the pick of the litter of ugly coyotes is like saying Moe is the smartest stooge. Sounds to me like the Left Media has decided to throw Bernie under the bus along with old Quip-Pro Joe. I expect Warren to get a brokered nomination and pick Cory Booker as a running mate. Then I pray for a repeat of Nixon vs. McGovern.

Amy Klobuchar eats her salad with her comb. All the while dressing down her staffers mercilessly. After she is done eating her salad, she cleans the oily dressing off the comb by running it through her greasy hair. Only hope she didn't have the Caesar dressing with anchovies.

The NY Times as an entity can win a Pulitzer Prize for fiction and the Nobel for literature. Fact sneaks in occasionally in weather, stock prices and sports scores, but not enough to overshadow the fiction created by the front and editorial pages.

First thought...the NY Times is still pining for Hillary. Since they only selected women, have to believe they are flaming feminazis. The fake injun makes sense. She is a top tier candidate (which isn't saying much). Klobuchar hasn't even made it to first base. They could have endorsed PeteButt considering his family role is that of a wife so he's a woman too. Doubt the NY TImes endorsement will even register as a blip on the political radar screen. This is all about identity politics, and has nothing to do regarding governing.

Their blazers are bright, but their futures are not. Elite women Democrats have faced a brutal reckoning over the past five years. It seemed, as Barack Obama might have put it, that the arc of history was bending in their direction. Half the electorate are female, and feminist identity politics seemed the natural destination for America’s progressive party. It hasn’t worked out that way. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton signaled the beginning of the end for the Pantsuit Nation™. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the DC media bubble crowned her successor to Barack Obama’s Democratic party and a shoo-in for the presidency. The American electorate disagreed.

U.S. troops last weekend reportedly found themselves in a standoff with Russian forces trying to gain access to key oil fields in northeastern Syria. The Saturday standoff — first reported by Turkish media outlets, citing unnamed local officials in the Turkey-Syria border region — seems to have ended without any shots being fired or any real risk of violence between the two sides. American military personnel reportedly stopped a Russian convoy near the town of Rmelan, and the Russian forces then apparently turned back and returned to their home base. Still, the near-clash serves as a reminder of the high stakes in Syria, where the U.S. military’s mission involves guarding

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) unveiled a new campaign plan Tuesday that calls for the creation of a Justice Department task force to investigate and prosecute corruption and immigration “violations” committed by the Trump administration. In her “Restoring Integrity and Competence to Government after Trump” plan, Warren states that “Donald Trump has run the most corrupt administration in history,” and that she will attempt to lessen his influence by “wiping the slate clean” of his appointments. “If we are to move forward to restore public confidence in government and deter future wrongdoing, we cannot simply sweep this corruption under the rug in a new administration,” Warren explains.

Washington- Last week was a good week for Queen Elizabeth II. At 93 years of age, she once again asserted her authority and looked, by the way, terrific. Good show, Your Highness. But last week was a bad week for Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced Hollywood producer, friend of the Clintons, major Democratic donor, and defendant accused of rape, a criminal sex act, and predatory sexual assault. He is 67. If he is found guilty, he faces life in prison. My guess is he will ask for a jail cell near Bill Cosby. They appear to have a lot in common and can swap tales, possibly even swap pictures.

New York magazine’s Ed Kilgore recently offered up yours truly as a prototypical Trump supporter who has ignored the “key lesson from 2016.” Quoting an excerpt from an October article in which I suggested that impeachment enhances Trump’s 2020 prospects when combined with a strong economy and a weak Democratic challenger, he suggested that “triumphalist braying from Trump, his campaign, his party, and his media allies, will persuade some of his own voters that he’s already won, so it’s safe to spend Election Day in other pursuits.” Kilgore obviously believes that such complacency in the HRC camp caused Trump’s 2016 victory. It’s alleged that Avenatti, currently behind bars awaiting trial in New York on unrelated charges, directed up to $1.3 million in settlement funds – intended for approximately 170 clients – to cover his own expenses. It’s the latest example of alleged malfeasance by the lawyer who was once a fixture on cable news and flirted with a presidential run. “We didn’t receive any of that,” Donald Albaugh, one of Avenatti’s clients, said by phone Monday.

It is imperative that the Senate convict and remove him from office now." Democrats insist on Trump's immediate removal because, they argue, he was the knowing beneficiary of Russian help in the 2016 election,
