Five little-noted doozies from
last night's Democratic debate

Before I drifted off out of boredom, I caught the first part of Democratic debate seven, on foreign policy, health care, identity politics and other topics, and oh, what a revelation about these last six characters from the clown car still standing. These are the people who would occupy the White House and you wouldn't want to be there if it happened. Five things stick out as doozies of contradictions, hypocrisy and full-blown whoppers: 5. The Warren-Sanders 'woman president' wrangle. (snip) Sanders made several fierce denials and wouldn't let them try to change the topic, Warren made an icky speech about the importance of women presidents.

Another great read and slam dunk by Monica Showalter! Her detailed analysis is spot on-- she exposes the shallow tactics of Liawatha and the "pie in the sky" ridiculous answers given by the others at the event. If any of these people get elected as our President, Charlie Brown and Linus come to mind saying "We're DOOMED"

And the single most important question they all should be asked will never be uttered. How do you expect to break an economic pattern that has been a constant for 3/4 of a century? We hit a Federal tax level of 17% (give or take a point) of GDP ramping up from 8% to fight WII and have remained there ever since. Every tax increase has resulted in 17% of a smaller economy and every tax cut has resulted in 17% of a larger economy. What is different about your plan that will break that pattern known as Hauser's law? They debate endlessly about how they intend to spend money generated by tax increases when the last 75 years of history tell us their increases will yield less money. It's all a fantasy at best, and more likely a scam, a fraud. What we don't know: What this country could actually produce by letting the astounding advances in technology over the last 75 years churn through the private sector instead of being siphoned off to fill a swamp of corruption, waste and bribes to purchase votes of the nonproductive using the money of the productive.

If by debate you mean junior high school debate recital (where everyone gets a different topic), then maybe it was a debate after all.

My favorite part was watching Lizzy try to do math in her head. "2019 minus 1980....no no it is 2020 now...so 2020-1990 = 30....yes, I am right...oh I should have said within 31 years."

I gave up after 30 minutes of watching, which is contrary for me to do that. I have watched every other debate in its entirety. Old Jo Biden seems to be unable to form a complete sentence - that may be an indicator of aphasia, and it will only get worse. Amy Lumpjaw took a shot at her father, noting that he has been married three times, so he is poor. Change divorce laws, Lumpjaw Amy, if you want to have progress. (But at least Lumpjaw Amy - who has hypothroidism, by the look of her strange neck, didn't bring up her father's alcoholism again.) Tom Steyer travels a lot, so that makes him ready for the presidency, he says. Cherokee Lizzie is a bigger liar than Adam Sandler. Bernie remains crazy. Did I miss someone? Oh. I forgot Peter the Homosexual. He was as vapid as usual. It was a peculiar group of candidates.

It’s fascinating to watch some of the smarter Democrats drag themselves out of their own Trump hatred long enough to realize that their party is in trouble at a very fundamental level. (snip) the media are so excessively self-involved that they no longer know how to communicate information and ideas to the voters media types want to reach most: people who are not politically engaged on a day-to-day basis but must turn out to vote on November 3 if the Democrat candidate is to win.

Q and the ever-growing worldwide movement it’s inspired have been the objects of fascination, mockery and hatred, but of surprisingly little serious analysis. Q first appeared in October 2017 on an anonymous online forum called 4Chan, posting messages that implied top-clearance knowledge of upcoming events. More than 3,000 messages later, Q has created a disturbing, multi-faceted portrait of a global crime syndicate that operates with impunity. “The bigger the lie, the more likely the buy-in” -- that must be the theory underlying a plan relentlessly executed by Bill and Hillary Clinton to suck money from the public in support of a supposed “charity” currently known as “Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation”. Unlike the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that was originally funded primarily by the Gates family, the Clinton Foundation was meant to take money from the general public, and from governments. So, affairs of the Clinton Foundation were never supposed to be directed by the Clinton family.

Hollywood celebrity is tough to shuck, at least for Meghan Markle, last seen in a starring role as Duchess of Sussex. Instead of marveling at her fairy tale ending with her marriage to Prince Harry in the U.K., she's made it clear she wants to go back to the Hollywood celebrity circuit, that "b" list group that makes loud leftwing noises to get attention -- and movie roles. Harry can come along for the ride if he wants, but he's probably going to get chewed up and spat out in the long run. She'll dump him when he gets inconvenient. It's pretty clear by the latest stunt she pulled

It took the American mass disinformation media and the Democrats three years of Trump's presidency to finally develop a coherent policy of confronting Trump. This policy is very primitive: everything that Trump does is denied, rejected, and negated. Everything. As a result, the opposition's reaction began to resemble the reaction of Pavlovian dogs — any statement by Trump, any action by Trump, and any achievement of Trump can cause only one thing — salivation of total negation. However, the complete and unconditional denial of everything makes the Democrats predictable and, as a result, vulnerable

Several witnesses who testified before House impeachment investigators said President Donald Trump ordered the hold on the critical military assistance.

WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday that two House chairmen who led President Donald Trump's impeachment inquiry will be among the House prosecutors for Trump's Senate trial. They are Democrats Rep. Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Jerry Nadler, chair of the Judiciary Committee. Trump was impeached by the Democratic-led House last month on charges of abuse of power over his pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden as Trump withheld aid from the country. He was also charged with obstructing Congress’ ensuing probe.

You’ve probably never heard of the most economically transformative legislation of the Trump era. Granted, it has not yet passed and it might not pass. If it does, it would affect a large portion of Americans, but hardly all of them, unlike the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. And its potential effects are hotly contested by policy advocates, politicians, and economists. Still, California Senate Bill 50, winding its way through the state legislature again this month, could generate tens of thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars of new investment, reshaping the geography of the biggest state and solving a large chunk of the cost-of-living crisis

Megan Rapinoe's roaring again. The International Olympic Committee published new rules that prohibit "political, religious or racial propaganda" "at medal ceremonies and Olympic venues," and Rapinoe says she "will not be silenced." She later added that she will kneel anyway, which would force the IOC to enforce its rules or back down. Not one for fine distinctions, Megan understands the world only in relation to herself and, as usual, completely misses the point. The IOC said nothing about silence. They said she couldn't use the Olympic stage to push politics. You can noisily talk about anything else — your girlfriend, the state of soccer,
